I hear ya! I bought it too, but seeing that its at walmart for $199, I’m thinking it will go cheaper… although the $25 Amazon card makes it a little bit better of a deal. I’m secretly kicking myself now for not waiting. Oh well, at least now I KNOW I’ll have one under the tree this xmas.
Yeah the price drop was announced earlier this week so the $200 wasn’t big news. But the $25 gc is an unexpected bonus. I mean really, the price drop alone is great but for amazon to offer the gc when they know they’ll sell lots anyway is awesome.
Me thinks Amazon is enticing people to spend an extra $50 on a Wii game by tossing in the gift card. Smart move.

I overheard a sales associate meeting at Toys R Us yesterday (they were having it in the middle of the store…I couldn’t help but overhear). They said the sales of game consoles was way down from last year, but they felt the extras-games and such-would make up for it. Interesting way for Amazon to entice you to shop with them!
