Black Friday starts NOW at Kohls!

No need to wait until Friday; the sales and bonuses start today over at Kohls!

Everyone earns $15 (not $10!) Kohls Cash for every $50 spent. Everyone gets free shipping, automatically, on their $50+ order. And everyone can use coupon code TURKEYDAY15 or BLACKFRI for an extra 15% off just about everything. [Edited to add: Looks like code 20FORU may take off 20%, instead.]

Their Black Friday markdowns are already up, so you could shop now and then just kick your feet up and relax on Friday.

If you love all things Willow Tree…

… but are, like me, frustrated that they basically never go on sale, and you’re looking at add to your Christmas collection: Right now this Willow Tree Holy Family is available at Amazon for just $23.99. That’s about 30% less than I’ve ever seen it offered at, and a nice deal if you’d been wanting one.

I bit the bullet and bought my kids Willow Tree ornaments one year, and they’re my favorites, but I haven’t quite worked up to buying more, yet. Beautiful pieces, though.

Load up on Levi’s

Love Levi’s? It’s a perfect time to go load up on your favorites—right now they’re offering 30% off and free shipping on every order with coupon code GIFT30.

A few exclusions do apply, but it works on sale items. If I hadn’t just picked up a brand new pair of Levi’s at Goodwill this weekend for $3, I’d be all over this.

Eddie brings Cyber Monday early

You don’t need to wait a week for big savings at Eddie Bauer online; they’re starting Cyber Monday today. Shop all you like, then apply coupon code ICY for 30% off everything, plus free shipping and free returns.

The code works on clearance items, too, so there’s plenty of amazing deals to be had. Sizes seem to be pretty limited in the clearance, though. Shop fast!

Use the force

If you have a kid who’s infatuated with Star Wars, you might want to take a look at this Star Wars Anakin to Darth Vader Color Change Lightsaber Toy at Amazon—it’s currently just $17.49, its lowest price ever.

I notice the reviews are mixed because some people are annoyed about things like the lights not being chasers so that it looks like the blade is extending. Ummmm. Okay, then. (Do they know it’s a toy…?) Yes, this isn’t going to be a complete studio replica, but for a pint-sized fan, it’s a nice deal.

If you’re in the market for a convertible car seat…

… and you’re a stickler for quality and safety, but you haven’t quite found it in yourself to fork over for a Britax seat…

… may I suggest you consider this RECARO ProRIDE seat? The Aspen color is down to around $205—as low as it’s ever been—plus you can get a free $60 Amazon gift card with your purchase, essentially making it the same cost as many of the big-box-store options.

RECARO was new on the American scene when my kids were little, but they’ve established themselves as Britax’s main competitor in making highly-rated “luxury” car seats. And I don’t know about you, but if I needed one and could snag it at this price, I’d be stoked.

Real basketball, scaled down

Every year around this time, this SKLZ Pro Mini Basketball Hoop set gets marked waaaaay down (right now it’s just $14.99, and Prime shipping eligible). This is the highest rated indoor basketball hoop Amazon offers; it’s just like a real one, but smaller. It’s got a polycarbonate backboard, a breakaway rim, and basically although it’s a “toy,” it’s as close to the real thing as you can get for the back of your kid’s bedroom door.

I hear these are particularly popular in dorm rooms, too. It’d make a nice holiday gift for the young adult heading back to college after the break.

And if you wanted to hang it on your door at work, well, I certainly won’t judge you.

I do not understand Skylanders

That said, whatever the Skylanders are, they seem to be very popular. (My rudimentary understanding of them: It’s part of a game which you can only play if you buy more pieces. Genius for the creators, not so much for the parents doing the purchasing.) Anyway, apparently one of the hot items to get this holiday season is the Skylanders Swap Force Starter Set, and the current cheapest offering at Amazon is still around $65. [Edited to add: There’s now various platform-ed (is that a word?) Swap Force sets in the Amazon Lightning Deals, too, if you hurry!]

But over at Target, they’ve got it for $37. (Direct linking is screwed up for me with Target right now. Trust me, search on skylanders swap and you’ll find it.) See?

If you need one, go get it. I don’t think we’ll see ’em any cheaper.

Early savings at Threadless

If you love Threadless and can’t wait for their next $5 sale—or if there’s some new designs you’re dying to get that won’t be on sale for a while—you’ve got a week to shop before the rush starts. They’ve made it even better, because right now you can use coupon code ALLOFTHETHINGS for 30% off all regular prices.

I usually wait for the giant sale, but lately they’ve had some very cool new designs. This code may just tip me over into splurging on a few tees.

Ship it for free today

I don’t often remember to go look over at Shopko, for some reason, but today (Thursday, November 21st) they’re offering free shipping on everything (except super-heavy items). They’ve got a bunch of sales going, and of course the Clearance section is filled with all sorts of deals.

Definitely worth a look. My children have managed to crack most of our thermal cups, and there’s some really cute ones in the “Seasonal Clearance” for cheap. Hmmm….
