Time to redeem your Kohls Cash

Got Kohls Cash from the last earning period? Time to head back on over to Kohls to redeem it during this week’s sales and promotions.

Everyone gets free shipping on $75+, and everyone can use coupon code TWENTY4U today only for an additional 20% off your order. From now through the 16th, if you have a Kohls charge card, use code TURKEY30, instead, for 30% off your order, plus stack it with code FREESHIPNOV for free shipping on any size order.

What I really like about Kohls is that there’s always something there I need. Coincidentally, what I really hate about Kohls is that there’s always something there I need….

Duct-tape delirium

So remember how the other day I was all “I don’t understand washi tape” and everything? This is perhaps even funnier because my children are completely obsessed with duct tape. But, see, duct tape can decorate (like washi tape), but it can also be used to make all kinds of cool and functional items. (Why, here’s a free Kindle book you can thank me for, later. If you’d prefer some less practical projects, Tape It & Make It is a favorite of ours.)

Right now Amazon is offering a 20% off coupon to clip on a variety of cool, patterned duct tapes, and I can tell you from experience that funky duct tape makes an excellent stocking stuffer.

[Heads up: the coupon will work on as many rolls as you choose to add to your cart, but you have to do it all in one go or the coupon gets confused and won’t apply to items you add later.]

Huge savings, but only today

It’s a rare enormous-savings kind of day over at Piperlime—they’re offering a code for 40% off all sale items, today only.

Turns out, you can actually stack codes. So find your sale item, apply coupon code TODAY for 40% off, then apply coupon code HOL2013 for another 25% off! And shipping is always free, both ways. Crazy, right? I think it’s time for mama to get some new boots….

But hurry; you only have today to get in on the savings.

Tango on over to Tanga

Two great deals are happening over at Tanga today:

First, they’ve got 8-packs of Florsheim dress socks for just $20 shipped, in all kinds of trippy, modern prints. I kind of love those. Perfect for the stylish man! (Stocking stuffers? Yes, please!)

Second, they’ve also got various colors of the Victorinox Swiss 16GB USB 2.0 Flash Drives, which just may be the coolest way to tote your storage safely. Tanga’s price today is just $15 plus $2 shipping, whereas these are still running $30 over at Amazon.

I love it when random deals come together.

Don’t miss this chance to save at GNC

Apologies; I should’ve posted this earlier, but I just ran across it now. Today only (and yes, there’s not that many hours left in today…), you can shop GNC and save an additional 30% on just about everything with coupon code FABFALLDEAL.

Shipping is a flat $1.99, or free if you have ShopRunner.

Quest Nutrition Bars (one of our favorites; gluten-free, high in protein, and no yucky additives) are on sale, and with the coupon they work out to about $1.50/bar. Woohoo!

Everything’s coming up Minecraft

Lovely reader Patricia was kind enough to point out that I am behind on my duties as a Minecraft Mom; right now Amazon has the Minecraft: The Official Annual 2014 pre-order available for just $3.43 with a low price guarantee.

What a perfect little extra for your Minecraft lover! Or maybe a few extras for the gift closet, if you happen to know an entire gaggle of Minecraft nerds. Not that there’s anything wrong with that….

(Thanks so much for the tip, Patricia!)

Edited to add: Here’s a video review of it.

Friends and Family save once again

It’s time for another savings extravaganza over at Lands’ End! All this week, shop to your heart’s content and use coupon code FRIENDLY with PIN 3055 to save an additional 30% on your order, plus you’ll get free shipping when you spend $50+.

I’ve recently discovered that size 16 Slim Lands’ End pants are just about the only thing that fit my rapidly-sprouting string bean of a boyteen. Off to buy some pants….

It’s stocking stuffer season!

It’s coming in to my favorite time of the year, folks. But you knew that.

The Countdown to Black Friday Lightning Deals have already begun at Amazon—though I suspect things won’t really get going for a couple more weeks—and I’m busy plotting out what gifts we have left to buy. Typically by about now, I’m done shopping for the major stuff. What I’m still working on is little gifts for the stockings.

There are two schools of thought about stockings: One says, just fill it with silly stuff. The other says, be awesome and get cool little things people actually want/need. (I bet you can’t guess which approach I favor….) Stuffing stockings for the kids is easy, and I like to get “girly stuff” for the ladies, but I always have a hard time shopping for the guys. Well, let’s kick off this stocking-shopping season with a goody for the men (women too, of course, but I thought of the guys first): This WD-40 No-Mess Pen for tight spaces, for just $1.09 delivered if you have Prime.

Game on.

Washi tape for the tween set

I don’t entirely understand the washi tape craze, but I full admit to being a not-very-crafty person. I use tape to… hold things together. Still! I know a hot fad when I see one.

I also know that real washi tape is kind of spendy, and that younger kids always want what the bigger kids have, and cheapskates like me are always looking for cheaper alternatives. Have a crafty girl at home for whom you’re not quite ready to shell out the big bucks for the fancy tape? Easy solution: this 30-spool Tapefitti caddy at Amazon for just $8! Cheap enough to work for you (and maybe for the gift closet, too), enough variety and color to keep her happily crafting. Win-win!
