48 hours of slashed prices
If you’ve been waiting for a decent sale event at Banana Republic, the 48-hour sale that launched this morning may be your ticket to savings. Right now their Fall items are already marked down, and then you can use coupon code BR48HOUR to take another 40% off women’s styles or 30% off men’s styles.
Shipping is automatically free on $50+, and that works as a cumulative total across all their shared sites, so you can grab something at Old Navy or Gap while you’re there. (Alternatively, get free shipping on any size order if it includes anything from Piperlime.)
Personally, I like to browse through Banana Republic every so often to remind myself how awesome it is when I find their stuff at Goodwill. Also, I would like to meet whoever is buying these clothes at full price.
It’s the most wonderful tiiiiime…
… of the yeeeeear! Nope, not the holidays (not yet), but it is time for additional 40% off discounts on the clearance at Dillard’s!
Prices are as marked, and there’s no such thing as free shipping from Dillard’s (boo), but this is where I tend to scoop up special-occasion dresses, lingerie, or shoes for a song. I’ve snagged some deals for the kids, too.
If you have the patience to sift through the offerings, you may well be rewarded with some excellent prices. Good luck!
Because your superpower is saving money
It seems like it’s been a looooong time since I scanned through the deals over at Groupon—for a while there it was the same stuff all the time—but this morning they’ve just released a new half-price PowerCapes deal. $15 gets you $30 or $29 gets you $65 to spend on custom superhero gear for your kiddo (or you; I don’t judge).
PowerCapes are my very favorite gift to give to small people. Who doesn’t want a shiny cape with their very own superhero emblem on it? Exactly.
Rock on with this secret sale
I love it when a site has a “secret” sale. Sure, they’ve told me, and now I’m telling you, but still. It makes me feel fancy! In the know! Look, I’m easily amused, okay?
Today at Rockport you can take an extra 30% off most regular prices with coupon code FALL30. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work on clearance prices, but it does give free shipping on any order, whether you get the extra savings or not, so that’s something. (Okay, items that qualify already have the reduced amount displayed. That’s a little confusing.)
Ooooh, they have cute handbags, too. And with the coupon a lot of them are cheaper than their clearance offerings.
Fire up $50 savings
If you’ve got your eye on the latest Kindle Fire, today would be a good day to check out the Deals of the Day at Best Buy—they’re offering the 8.9″ HD Kindle Fire for $50 off. (And because sometimes the “original price” isn’t entirely factual, yes, Amazon does have it for $50 more.)
This is one of those things where, if you were considering getting one, say, for a holiday gift, you have to try to weigh whether or not you think a better deal will come along before December. Or maybe saving $50 and being done with it now is the way to go.
Heads up, Folica fans!
My only problem with shopping at Folica is that I would like one of everything, please. An entire store dedicated to making my unruly mop of hair shiny and pretty? Yes, please! (Well, okay. I guess they’re dedicated to everyone’s hair, not just mine. But still.)
Today if you spend $100+ (not hard to do there…), you can apply coupon code CURLY100 to get 15% off your order, free shipping, and a bonus Sedu curling set, which looks to include some clips, a wee little clipless curling wand, and a fancy brush ($80 value). If you were on the fence about getting a new styling tool, perhaps this is the deal to push you over…?
Oh, yeah… I guess they have nail and body stuff, too. But I’m mostly over there to drool over the hair products.
Here you go, whippersnappers
Nothing makes me feel quite as old as perusing the offerings at Forever 21. I guess I’m officially an old lady. (Also, I’m grateful I don’t have to be 21 forever. It was half a lifetime and a lot of dumb decisions ago, for me.) There’s a lot of clothing there I don’t think is a good look for anyone, of any age, but there’s also some cute stuff my girl-teen loves, and the prices are certainly right.
Right now, they’re even right-er: Take an additional 30% off clearance items with coupon code EXTRA30. That’s probably not enough additional savings for me to look at things with the word “bustier” in the title, but enough for me to consider a little swing dress, sure.
Shipping is free on $50+, otherwise it starts at $5.95.
Everything you need to uke
Sure, a ukelele isn’t an everyday purchase, but if you’ve been thinking about one, check out this BadAax Deluxe Mahogany Soprano Ukulele Pack at Amazon—it’s currently down to just $28 shipped. You get the ukelele, a case, chord charts, and a tuner. Everything you need!
Get it now for the kid who’s been wanting one for Christmas. Or get it now for the kid whose parents you hate. Either way.
More than shoes
I know that usually when I’m highlighting a sale at 6pm.com it’s because there’s a really sweet deal on shoes, but today they’ve got a giant boutique of discounted home goods. That means that while you’re picking up cute shoes, you can also get sheets… or silverware… or any other variety of usually-very-expensive home items for less. I’m seeing Vera Bradley, Le Creuset, Calphalon… all kinds of good stuff. Prices are up to 80% off.
While it’s true that technically I don’t need anything at the moment, with prices like these, it would be irresponsible not to look, right? Right.
The better way for books
I always check out Better World Books when looking for deals on used books, just because 1) they’re cheap and 2) they help get books to those in need, but today there’s an even better reason to shop: they’re celebrating World Literacy Day!
You’ll get 30% off your purchase of 3+ Bargain Bin books, plus today they’ll donate two books for every book bought, instead of just one. How can you resist that? Cheap books for you, more books where they’re needed… it’s pretty much the best excuse to buy some more books I’ve ever seen.
