There’s nothing quite like a guy in Dockers
Sure, they sell women’s clothing, too, but when I think Dockers, I think men. Khakis! All guys have a pair of Dockers in the closet, right?
This week you can stock up at Dockers and save 30%—just spend $100+ and you can use coupon code TAKE30 for an additional 30% off, even if what you’re buying is already on sale. And orders of $50+ ship for free, too. I’m seeing pants for the guys on sale at $25, which means that after coupon you’re looking at just about $18ish/pair, which is about as cheap as you’ll find ’em.
Bonus: It’s always fun to deadpan, “Nice pants,” to your man when he’s wearing his Dockers. Or maybe that’s just me.
One day to smell great for less
Technically you can smell great whenever you want, I guess, but today (Thursday, March 7th) is your chance to shop at Perfumania and save 25% on almost anything when you apply coupon code MARCH25. Shipping is automatically free on your $50+ order.
This is a great deal if you’re running low on your favorite fragrance, obviously. On the other hand, I’m seeing something called “Snooki Couture” on their splash page and now I have to go weep for humanity.
Blocky is the new nerdy
I know some of you don’t like deals for sites where you have to register to browse, so if you’re in that group of folks, look away! If you don’t mind the registration, and you have a kiddo addicted to Minecraft like I do, hop on over to Fab.com—last night’s Young At Heart shop included a Minecraft boutique! If you’re not a hardcore fan you may notice that the discounts aren’t all that big, but if you are a hardcore fan you know that basically this stuff never goes on sale anywhere, and a few bucks off is a deal.
I am kind of loving the Lineup Tee. My son already has the Periodic Table of Minecraft one thanks to his favorite auntie, and obviously that’s the best shirt in the bunch. Still, a creeper head might come in handy…. (Yeah, file that under “things I never anticipated saying.”)
Wednesday, all day
It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means—it’s a Kohlsday! Kohls is pulling out all the stops, today, which means it’s a great time to get everything from clothes to waffle irons. (Why do you need multiple waffle irons? I’m not judging, just curious.)
Start it out with today’s sale and one-day-only door busters. (Dreaming of spring? They have anti-gravity lounge recliners in the door busters for $60 before coupons, and these are our favorite deck chairs.) Add in the fact that you’ll earn $10 Kohls Cash for every $50 you spend, and that everyone gets free shipping on $75+, automatically. If you have a Kohls charge card, ship any size order for free with coupon code WESHIPFREE and save an additional 30% with coupon code SHOPNSAVE. No Kohls card? Spend $100+ and you can still save an extra 15% with coupon code RMN15OFF.
Heh, I just noticed that there’s apparently over 20,000 door busters. I think they may be a little confused about how that’s supposed to work, but I’m not complaining.
Point, shoot, save
If you’ve been looking for a high-end point-and-shoot camera, today would be an excellent day to hop on over to QVC, of all places. Today’s “Special Value” item is the Olympus SZ-31 MR 16MP 24x Long Zoom Digital Camera for just $200 (plus $9.72 S&H, hello arbitrary number). Still, for $210, you get a pretty fancy camera, so I went looking to see if this was really a good deal or not.
Well, the same camera is $400 at Amazon, plus it averages 4.5 stars in the reviews. Not bad.
I wouldn’t recommend this as an impulse purchase, nor is this a good “throw it in my purse” kind of camera, but if you’re in the market for a point-and-shoot that delivers quality similar to an SLR, this may be the deal for you.
Stock up on soaps (and other stuff)
I just got an email over the weekend asking me if I knew when the semi-annual sale on soaps would be, over at Bath & Body Works. And you know, I wasn’t sure I knew the answer. I was all, “I think it’s… wait. Maybe it’s… huh. When is that sale?”
Guess what! No, don’t bother, I’ll tell you: It’s right now. Hooray! Anti-bacterial soaps are 5 for $15 or 7 for $20, Signature Body Care and fragrances are buy 3, get 2 free, and Wallflowers are 4 for $20 or 6 for $24. Basically the whole store is on sale.
Shipping is a flat $5.99/order, but add in coupon code SPRING13 for 20% off site-wide, and if you order enough, that’ll take care of the shipping (and then some, depending).
Now, on to more important things: Has anyone smelled their new “Garden Herbs” scent? I’m intrigued.
Drilltastic
Today’s Amazon Gold Box should make the entry-to-mid-level DIY-er’s heart go pittapat—they’ve got a Black & Decker 20V lithium-ion battery drill kit available for just $62 shipped. That’s a good 30% lower than its ever been on Amazon before.
If you’re a hardcore do-it-yourselfer, this may not be the right drill for you; it only comes with one battery, for example. But it’s hard to beat the value of both the 20V drill and all of the accessories at this price point, plus reviewers seem to indicate it’s surprisingly powerful for its size. In conclusion: you might not want to build a whole house with this, but for most small projects, it will be more than adequate.
Free shipping and savings
I’m not sure how this happened, but I’m starting to think that Bon-Ton may be supplanting Kohls as my favorite there’s-always-a-sale-happening department store. Weird.
Today and tomorrow, buy whatever you like and ship your whole order for free with coupon code FREESHIP. Plus you can use coupon code MARCH325OFF for up to 25% additional off, though that depends on what you’re buying (lots of exclusions, but a great additional savings if you can make it work).
This is, not surprisingly, a great time to buy a winter coat at a huge discount. But there’s plenty of other deals, too, so check it out.
Leggo my leggings
If you love leggings—or if, like me, you have a teenager who loves leggings—swing by the Target Daily Deals today. While their “spotlight” deal is a monokini and several of the supporting deals are also swim-related, tucked in amongst the swimsuits are $5 leggings in a variety of colors. Better still, they’re Junior’s sizing and go all the way down to size 1… perfect for those skinny teens who have trouble finding small enough sizes.
You have to love spending $5 pair of leggings and saving $5 on the shipping. I mean, yes, it’s possible I need more hobbies, but still.
Everything except the J. Crew price
If you love J. Crew but blanch at the typical J. Crew prices, did you know that you can shop the J. Crew Factory Outlet online? It’s true! The prices are already better than the regular store, of course, but today and tomorrow you can also save an additional 25% with coupon code MOREPLEASE. And just like that… J. Crew is suddenly just as affordable as Target.
Shipping is free on your $100+ order, or a flat $4.95, otherwise. Even the shipping is cheaper here than on the regular J. Crew site. So many snarky comments come to mind, so little time….
