Delightful deals of the day
I don’t know why I always forget about Sears, but I do. I think it goes back to my childhood, when Sears was simply the place you went for tools or for clothing that would surely get you beaten up on the playground. Of course they’re all different, now, but I tend to forget.
Anyway! Was I going somewhere with this…? Oh, yes! See, every time I remember that there’s a whole assortment of Deals of the Day over at Sears, I’m pleased with what I find. Like, today they have a 3-piece Rachael Ray knife set for just $15 with free shipping. (For reference: the same set at Amazon is still around $27, plus the reviews are great.)
Further down the Sears page (under “More Deals”) there’s also a travel thermos set for just $6.99 that includes the thermos, two mugs, and a carry case—those would be perfect teacher gifts next Christmas, no?
If an item at Sears doesn’t offer free shipping, you can always ship it to your local store for free and pick it up, or get free shipping on your $59+ order. Load up the gift closet!
If you want some free Fab…
… they’re giving out some free credit right now. And who doesn’t want free money, other than that weird toddler in the Capital One commercials?
If you don’t already have an account, go create one here.
Then go here to get an automatic $10 credit and then here to get an automatic $5 credit. You’re looking for a pop-up that confirms you’ve gotten the credit, though it may take a little bit to show up in your account.
I think they expire at the end of the month, though, so after you get your credit, go buy yourself something pretty. (Shipping starts at $4.95, unless you’re buying something marked free shipping.)
Friends don’t let friends be frizzy
Okay, so, here’s where I confess that Frizz-Ease isn’t my favorite brand of anti-frizz stuff… more like, second tier. If I run out of my favorite stuff, I use it. If I need to buy stuff for my daughter (to keep her from using my more expensive stuff, ahem), I buy it. And I also fully admit that my hair is pretty difficult, so maybe if you’re not quite as hair-challenged as I am, this stuff may be fine for you.
That said, right now Amazon has a $3 Frizz-Ease coupon available which may make your chosen product dirt cheap.
And now that I’m looking, I see that this includes the Moisture Barrier Hairspray, which—granted, I rarely use hairspray, but sometimes I do, like when I straighten my hair and have to go to An Event, or something—is my hairspray of choice. So there you go. Clip the coupon, buy via Subscribe & Save for free shipping, enjoy.
Plus-size clearance countdown
I always feel a little bad when I post a smoking deal at a clothing store that doesn’t carry plus sizes, because someone always comes in and comments with a mournful little, “Nothing for us larger ladies, I guess.” So hey, today I have something just for those of you who feel like you’re usually left out!
Today marks the start of the Clearance Countdown at Lane Bryant. Today (Wednesday, January 23rd) only, take an additional 70% off clearance prices with coupon code COUNTDOWN7LB. If you wait until tomorrow, you’ll only get 60% off, and by Friday it’ll only be 50%. But you should shop today, anyway, because I doubt anything will be left by Friday.
Shipping is a flat $7.95, or ship to your local store for free. I think you can probably make up that shipping charge while you’re saving 70%, though.
You know the drill by now
Hey, it’s another free shipping day at Children’s Place. (Why don’t they just make it a permanent thing? I guess because then they couldn’t say “Today only!” every time….)
We all know kids don’t wait for sales to sprout two inches overnight or to rip their favorite clothing item on the playground, so I guess we’ll take free shipping where we can get it. But there actually is a sale happening, right now, plus you can use coupon code H3JY6RJ102 for another 20% off. That way even unexpected necessary purchases are a lot more palatable.
Sadly, they do not sell bricks. You know, for putting on the kids’ heads.
Scoop up some Silkies
Whether you need some new tights or shapewear or dare to wander into the world of things like “enhancement pads” (I… don’t know, I’m just the messenger here, people), you can probably find what you need over at Silkies. Better yet, right now you can use coupon code MPJAN for $10 off your $10+ order—just pay shipping!
It’s true that shipping starts at around $7, but there’s plenty of deals in the sale section to amp up your savings. (I spy some super-cute flip flops in the sale section, along with lots of other goodies.) They have tights for little ones, too. Go spend free money!
Get your Wooting finger ready
What’s this? Can it be? Yes! It’s a beautiful day for a Woot-Off, my friends, so I sincerely hope you have absolutely nothing else to do on this fine Tuesday.
What’s a Woot-Off? It’s when all day long, items appear for a moment or for a full half hour, cycling through a bevy of goodies, taunting you with incredible deals sprinkled in amongst the “who in the world is going to buy that?” items at Woot, Sport.Woot, Home.Woot, Kids.Woot, and of course Wine.Woot (motto: Not Always Wine!).
Keep an eye out today, and you just may score a great deal or two. Don’t forget that they’re still doing their shipping special where you pay $5 for your first order of the day and that’s it—order as many more times as you want within the same calendar day, and your shipping is free. You’ve got to love that on a Woot-Off day.
Need a space heater?
I work from home, you know. And here in Georgia it doesn’t get all that cold very often, but let me tell you: my office is the furthest room in the house from the thermostat, plus I have two outside doors and a window (all of which are drafty), and when it gets cold here, my office is chilly. A couple of years ago, my husband went out and bought me this portable DeLonghi radiator because he’s nice and he didn’t want me to freeze to death. It’s a nice little unit—it warms the room quickly, and can be set to turn on and off automatically. At $50 (the current Amazon price) it’s not terribly expensive, either.
But if you want one of those today, you’re in luck! Today the same heater is a Bonus Deal of the Day at Best Buy (scroll down the page to find it) at just $34.99 and free shipping. If you have a room that could use a little help staying warm, this is a good deal on a really decent little heater.
Alternatively, I guess you (or I) could buy a less drafty house. But this seems a lot less complicated.
Clothing clearance at 6pm
Sure, it’s shoes I’m usually after at 6pm.com, but don’t forget they have lots of clothing, too—especially today, when they’ve just launched their big Epic Clothing Clearance. Everything included in the sale is at least 70% off!
I can neither confirm nor deny the rumor that I just bought a Suzi Chin dress for 72% off. But if I did, that would make me both pretty and pretty smart, right? Right.
Tanga goes elegant
I can’t stop laughing over today’s crop of Daily Deals over at Tanga.
I mean, yes, sure, the trio of Kiehls moisturizers for $29.99 is a great way to get a deal on some fancy creams. I’ve not used these products specifically, but I stayed in a hotel once where they had Kiehls toiletries and yes indeed I hoarded those little bottles and brought home all I could and whispered “my preciiiiious” to the shampoo and conditioner. So that could be a nice deal. But mostly I cannot stop laughing at the Tea Rex t-shirt.
It’s true that I’m easily amused. But Tea Rex! And the dinosaur has a monocle! I may have to have it. (Shipping is just $1.99 per shirt, too, so you can get all fancy for under $10 shipped.)
