Get it fast and free
Need something for Christmas that you—imagine!—can’t find at Amazon? Or you don’t have Prime? Right now when you shop at Bon-Ton they’re offering free one-day shipping when you use coupon code XMASRUSH.
That’s on top of all the sales and specials they’re currently running, of course. It just means that you can still get whatever you need in time for Christmas.
I’m seeing just about everything on sale there, but check out some of the kitchen stuff if you’re done buying presents and just shopping for things you might need. Lots of cooking/baking sets are on sale.
Aebleskivers!
Wishing you could find a cheap aebleskiver pan so that you could make those weird puffy pancakes-mated-with-donuts things for your family on Christmas morning?
Amazon has the Lodge Pro-Logic Cast-Iron Aebleskiver Pan available for just $14.49—their lowest price ever—and it’s eligible for free Prime shipping.
Note: The product page is defaulting to a different seller. To get the direct-from-Amazon $14.49 price, look in the “More Buying Choices” column on the right side of the page, and add it to your cart from there.
And then please invite my family over for Christmas breakfast.
Calico Critters in the Lightning Deals
You are still watching the Amazon Lightning Deals, right?
The batch that just went live at noon (Eastern) includes a bunch of Calico Critters stuff at 40% off. Handy if you have kids into that stuff.
Last minute Fisher-Price Imaginext markdowns
Still scrambling for a few more toys? The Amazon toy price drops continue! Here’s an Imaginext round-up for you, if you’re into that sort of thing.
Dinosaur! (I only saw this one, but hey, maybe you love dinos.)
Ankylosoraurus Dino for $4.74 (57% off)
Ogre! (Ditto on only this one Castle-themed thing, sorry.)
Eagle Talon Castle Ogre for $16.32 (53% off)
Toy Story!
Evil Dr. Porkchop’s Spaceship for $6.93 (61% off)
Tri-County Sanitation Truck for $9.74 (46% off)
Pizza Planet Playset for $22.93 (49% off)
DC Super Friends!
Batcopter for $8.92 (36% off)
Joker and Batman for $9.60 (36% off)
Green Lantern Planet OA for $13.32 (52% off)
The Joker’s Fun House for $14.95 (47% off)
That funhouse is kind of freaking me out.
Ocean’s back again for ten, plus more
Just in case you missed this one last month, Amazon has the Ocean’s Trilogy on Blu-ray back at $9.99 again.
That’s not quite your style? There’s a few more Blu-ray triple packs at $9.99 as well:
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Triple Feature
Austin Powers Triple Feature
Martin Scorsese Triple Feature
Twister/Poseidon/The Perfect Storm
The Lost Boys Triple Feature
Perfect last-minute gifts or stocking stuffers. (If you have Prime, they’ll arrive for free by Saturday.)
(Also the Austin Powers one would be a good Yankee Swap gift. Yeah, baby.)
Markdowns on Hobbit LEGOs
Typically you’re not going to see much in the way of markdowns on “current” LEGO sets, like, say, when there’s a new major motion picture version of The Hobbit out. And yet, there’s a few markdowns happening at Amazon on the following sets, even though they’re still full-price on the Lego Shop site.
So yay, Amazon price-adjusting monkeys, for early discounts! Note that these are hardly bargain-basement discounts, but they are discounts on new sets, which are rare.
LEGO The Hobbit Riddles for The Ring for $8.97 (25% off)
LEGO The Hobbit Escape from Mirkwood Spiders for $21.97 (27% off)
LEGO The Hobbit Attack of the Wargs for $37 (24% off)
I snagged the Shelob Attacks set on a Lightning Deal a few weeks back and am kind of itching to pick up a few more sets. Uh, totally because my kid is a LEGO fiend, of course. Not because I figure that if we have some extra Gollums around I can steal one for my desk.
Stop looking at me like that.
Erector sets marked down at Amazon
For this particular batch of markdowns I feel compelled to preface with “caveat emptor”—I don’t usually post items with poor reviews, but I’ll leave it to you decide if you feel like taking the risk, here. Certainly these newer sets (which include plastic pieces) are not the heavy all-metal sets we grew up building with, and I don’t doubt that for younger kids, the assembly can be difficult and unforgiving. Would you be willing to purchase, anyway, at the clearance price? That’s up to you. Read the reviews and decide for yourself.
That said, take a look:
Erector Space Chaos – Dark Pirates Raider for $4.80 (52% off)
Erector Space Chaos – Silver Force Raider for $4.99 (50% off)
Erector Space Chaos – Dark Pirates Bomber for $5.91 (61% off)
Erector Extreme Model Set Dragster 80 pieces for $7.46 (50% off)
Erector Space Chaos – Dark Pirates Commander for $9.49 (68% off)
Erector Space Chaos – Silver Force Destroyer for $14.99 (67% off)
Erector Extreme 3 Model Set – Power Motor – 160 Pieces for $15 (50% off)
Look at it this way: Unlike the set I grew up with, what are the chances of needing to give your kid a lecture about lockjaw with these? Pretty low. And if you’re too young to get that reference, get off my lawn.
For your D&D freak
If you still need one more gift for the nerdtastic gamer in your life, Amazon currently has the Dungeons and Dragons: Castle Ravenloft Board Game available for $28.59—its lowest price ever.
This is a highly-rated board game for D&D devotees, and… I can’t tell you much else about it, other than that the picture on the box made my little nerdling light up like a Christmas tree. (I do not pretend to understand, I’m just glad he’s found a hobby that keeps him happy.)
My love for food storage continues
Regulars ’round here know that I have an unabashed devotion to all things Lock & Lock when it comes to food storage, but for things I don’t need to tuck into a lunchbox, I do prefer glass storage.
And we all know you can never have enough food storage around, right? Right!
Today One Kings Lane has a kitchen boutique with a variety of borosilicate glass storage containers with Lock & Lock-style lids. (Also ones with regular lids. But I really do love that snap-on ones for leakproofability—totally a real word—and ease of getting on and off.)
So merry Christmas to me, I guess. Now I’ll have plenty of containers for leftovers!
Last chance to Kohls for Christmas
There’s still time—you can shop at Kohls through midnight (Eastern) tonight and still get your order in time for Christmas delivery.
Everyone gets $10 Kohls Cash for every $50 spent, plus everyone gets automatic free shipping on orders of $50+. Kohls charge card holders can still use coupon code RUDOLPH30 for an additional 30% off, plus coupon code SHIPGIFT4KC for free shipping on any size order. No Kohls charge? You can still use coupon code STOCKINGS for 15% off your order.
Don’t miss the Dream Deals—special bargain prices they’re only offering online. Surely someone in your life needs some Angry Birds boxers in a tin. Or something. (I may or may not have just remembered that the pajama elves forgot to buy slippers. I plead the 5th.)
