Tanga me this
How much am I loving the options at Tanga this morning? So much. Long-time readers will instantly recognize that the “Keep Calm and Eat Bacon” shirt was obviously made for me (ha!), while both the laptop cooling pad and armrest organizers are just the sort of ugly yet utilitarian things I’m likely to have around.
And if none of that floats your boat, the $18 subscription to Taste of Home magazine drops to just $4 for the entire year when you use coupon code TASTE. Just so that there’s something for you tasteful folks, too.
(But really, how funny would it be if I got that shirt for my vegetarian kid? I mean, sure, there’s the $7 for the shirt, and then the added money for extra therapy, but still. Totally worth it.)
Your girls will thank you
Yes, I’m talking about those girls—ladies, right now you can save an additional 25% at Maidenform with coupon code LIFETIMESTYLE25, through the end of the month. There’s a sale going on, too.
That means you’re out of excuses for not having a couple of decent bras and/or why you’re wearing panties that have elastic hanging out of them. Seriously. Do yourself a favor. I promise you’re worth it.
Shipping is free on your $75+ purchase, too. Let your tattered underthings go.
Energy savings in the Gold Box
Today’s Amazon Gold Box holds a high-end Honeywell programmable thermostat for $50 shipped. It has a touchscreen, which of course makes it extra fancy.
In all seriousness, if you don’t have a good programmable thermostat, jump on this deal. The average household will save close to $200/year on energy costs by using a thermostat like this (assuming you set it up properly), so this is one of those things that truly pays for itself in very short order. And yes, there are cheaper ones, but Honeywell is pretty much the gold standard.
Why yes, I am passionate about thermostats. That’s… not weird at all.
Wii with a bonus
Remember back when if you wanted to buy a Wii, it was $249 everywhere, world without end, good luck finding it on sale? Yeah, those were the good ol’ days. (What? No, I’m not bitter about spending that. Much.)
Right now Amazon is offering the Mario Kart Wii console bundle in either black or white for just $134.96 shipped, which is already pretty much a crazy good price. But your purchase will also get you a $20 promotional Amazon credit to spend later, so it’s like the whole shebang is just $115, which is just kind of crazy.
Good thing I’m not bitter.
Woot if you love Dyson
If you’ve been dying for a Dyson (but dying over the retail price…), be sure to hop on over to Woot today. They’ve got refurbished Dyson DC14s for just $185 shipped! There’s even two different colors. (Fancy!)
Note that these refurbs come with a 6-month warranty direct from Dyson, or you can purchase an extended warranty through Square Trade. Just something to consider if you’re feeling a little iffy about buying a reconditioned item.
Personally, I’m waiting for a deal on one of those bladeless Dyson fans. And I don’t even need one, it’s just that every time I see the commercial I wonder how it works. Heh.
Hello, Pretties!
Oh dear. I swore I wasn’t doing any more shopping today. Honest. But, um, I didn’t know it was Friends and Family time at Last Call by Neiman-Marcus, and I’m not made of stone, people.
Take 30% off everything with coupon code FRIEND. And you can stack that with code FRIEND50 for free shipping on your $50+ order, too.
I’m trying to be strong… but… resolve… weakening….
This is more my speed
So after the last post (where I spent more time than I will admit paging through those Juniors clothes and thinking, “Could I get away with this?”) (Answer: No. I’m 40. So absolutely not.) I knew it was time to find something more befitting of my, erm, mature status. Heh.
And look—Eddie Bauer is currently have a sale, and today and tomorrow every order ships for free with coupon code FALLFREE. This makes me happy.
Not as happy as if I was still young and thin enough to wear those Junior’s clothing options, but I’ll take it.
Pretty clothes, even better prices
I’ve been stalking the clothing options at Amazon this month, because they’ve been having a bunch of sales. This one isn’t necessarily great for me—I’m feeling a little old, browsing it—but I’m seeing a lot of stuff that my teen daughter would totally swoon over. It’s an assortment of Dazly brand clothing at 70% or more off retail, and all of those options are eligible for free shipping and free returns through the Amazon Clothing Store.
This seems to be a pretty nice brand, at some fairly bargain-basement prices. And with free returns, it’s worth taking a look.
I’m a sucker for the kitchen
Among other things, today’s Rue La La boutiques include a “Completing the Kitchen” assortment. Some very nice gadgets in there, at discount prices.
Just sayin’. And not just because I finally bought that Vacuvin coffee storage set I’ve been eyeing for a year. Ahem.
(Don’t forget their new policy where you pay shipping just once, and all your orders ship for free for the next 30 days, too! That’s downright dangerous.)
Yep, it’s Wednesday
Y’all know what Wednesday means, right? It’s time to shop at Kohls!
Today is the last day to earn Kohls Cash in this period, plus today’s the One-Day Sale. And coupons? We’ve got coupons! Everyone gets free shipping on their $75+ order, plus coupon code SMS4371 saves you another 10%. If you have a Kohls charge card, use coupon code TIME4FS for free shipping on any order, plus today is the last day to use code SAVEWITH30 for an additional 30% off.
Also? I’m just going to say it: The new Jennifer Lopez stuff is actually pretty cute, and not nearly as trashy as I expected. Heh.
