Also, they enjoyed smelling like flowers

Yet another Presidents’ Day special, this time dedicated to the past presidents’ penchant for dousing themselves in sweet-smelling potions.

… what?

Anyway! Today (February 21st, 2011) only, use code DAYSALE at Perfumania to take 25% off and get free shipping on any order. And yes, they carry just about any perfume you could possibly want, but they also carry all kinds of hair and beauty products, too.

Code cannot be applied to items already on sale, unfortunately. On the other hand, they carry my favorite curly hair product (Tigi Curls Rock Curl Amplifier) for less than Amazon, even before the code… which means I can stock up on the cheap. Thank you, Mr. President(s)!

[Edited to add: Woo! Looks like you can stack code SPECIAL for another $10 off $50+, too. Nice!]

The presidents were wild about home goods

It never fails to crack me up that Presidents’ Day is a great day to buy things like throw pillows. Why is that? I guess I’ll just go with it.

So here’s some good news, if you’re wanting some pretty things: Today’s the last day to take 70% off the already-reduced clearance prices at Designer Living, with coupon code PDAY70. That’s the kind of savings that makes my heart go pitter-pat, people.

Do bear in mind that this is a site with a lot of very fancy wares; some of the 70% off prices are still well beyond what I, personally, would ever spend. But there are some really good deals to be had on the less chi-chi items. (Tip: sort by price!)

Shipping is a flat $7.95 on every order, or free on $75+.

I neither condemn nor endorse these

Look; despite my rather rabid anti-processed-food stance of today, there was a time when my youngest ate little more than Pop-Tarts. So I get that sometimes desperate times call for desperate measures, and even that sometimes you just have to fall face-first into some delicious chemically-processed sugar. I get it.

That said, this 8-pack of 16-count frosted chocolate fudge Pop-Tarts is a lot of Pop-Tarts. But at just $13.81 shipped when you buy via Subscribe & Save, it’s just about the cheapest way I’ve seen to get ’em.

The good news is that nothing in those little individual foil packets ever goes bad, so if it takes you five years to get through these, they’ll still be fresh. Or maybe that’s “fresh.” Whatever. Enjoy!
