Deck the halls with Decorator deals
If you’re looking for holiday decorations or just general home decor, don’t forget to stop by Home Decorators Collection today to check out their 500+ deals at half off and with free shipping (prices drop in cart).
It was not my intention to actually buy anything, today, but did I buy this Eat Here sign for my kitchen just because it was half off? Yes. Yes, I did.
Not sorry.
Stock up at Jet, too
If you’ve never shopped Jet.com before, think of it as a warehouse club where you save more when you spend more. In addition to whatever deals they already have, the more you spend, the cheaper everything is. You have to pay attention to what you’re buying, of course—some prices are great, and others, less so—but there’s definitely deals to be had, especially on groceries, if you’re willing to look around a bit.
(This is usually where I stock up on dorm food like Pop-Tarts and Easy Mac cups, by the way.)
Anyway, if you have shopped with them before, you know they’re notorious for having coupons only for new users. But today only, everyone can use coupon code GMA30 for 30% off almost everything (some exclusions apply, and it’ll say on the product page if an item is ineligible), for up to an extra $30 off.
If you don’t need groceries, well, they have lots of other stuff, too. I’m off to look around….
Don’t forget the little stuff!
I know you’re busy holiday shopping today, but with just about every online retailer doing discounts, don’t forget about the “regular” stuff you might need, too.
Today at Rite Aid you’ll get 30% off most everything and free shipping on $35+ with coupon code BLACKFRIDAY and your Plenti card, while at CVS that same BLACKFRIDAY code will get you 30% off and free shipping on any order. Both stores are running plenty of specials, and both stores have a slew of Buy 1 Get 1 deals on things like cold medication and vitamins and that sort of stuff you always need.
I’m working on my youngest’s first aid kit for college. This let me pick up a bunch of essentials on the cheap.
And a couple more department stores
Not to be outdone, right now Dillard’s has their Clearance an extra 50% off, and Bon-Ton is chock-full of doorbusters, plus they’re offering free shipping on every order with coupon code FREESHIP. Coupon code THANKS25F16 also gives an additional 25% off some sale prices, but there are a lot of exclusions, so pay attention to those while you shop.
Love Tervis? Bon-Ton has several styles of Fiesta Tervis tumblers marked half-off. And other stuff, of course. But Tervis deals always seem popular.
(It’s only 10:00 am and I’m ready for a nap. Please send more coffee.)
Black Friday for the trendsetters on your list
If you have a teenage female on your shopping list, chances are good that you’re looking for some hip clothing deals. (Chances are also good that if you use the word “hip” within her earshot, she’ll roll her eyes at you. But that’s neither here nor there.)
Two stores to check out today, if you have such a person on your list: First, Charlotte Russe has marked the entire store down to $20 or less, and there’s a bunch of Buy 1 Get 1 deals, and everything ships for free, today. Second, American Eagle has 40% off just about everything today, plus free shipping, plus Buy 1 Get 1 on most of the stuff that isn’t already 40% off.
I feel old when I shop at these places, but it makes my kid happy, so I guess I’ll just deal with it.
Time for Ts
It wouldn’t be Black Friday without a big sale at Threadless on all manner of wacky t-shirts, and no worries, they delivered. There’s something for everyone on your list, with a huge assortment of $10 shirts, plus 30% off everything else.
Spend $50+ and your whole order ships for free with coupon code HOLIDAYSHIP16.
(Threadless shirts are my go-to gifts for teenagers, by the way. Everyone loves weird t-shirts.)
Doorbusters galore at the department stores
Your best bets today for a wide array of one-day-only deals? That’s easy.
Target has 20 pages of doorbusters, heavy on the video games and consoles (many of which are on sale with a bonus store gift card, too) and other toys.
Kohls has all of the usual suspects up in the sale—small electrics, Fiestaware, clothing and more—and you can use coupon code NOVSAVE15 for an extra 15% off, and you’ll earn $15 Kohls Cash for every $50 you spend. There’s even some doorbusters with bonus Kohls Cash (check out that Shark vacuum on the splash page, for example).
Macy’s, much like Kohls, has pulled out all the stops with their doorbusters. This is the best sale of the year for kids’ outerwear, for example, but plenty of other stuff, too. Coupon code THANKS will take up to 20% extra off there on top of non-doorbuster sale prices.
I mean, you could be fighting the crowd at any of these stores, but isn’t it nicer to just sit on your couch in your pajamas and get the same deals…?
Woot your Black Friday
A Woot-Off on a Friday is unusual, but only if it’s not Black Friday, which today is. Today it means they’re Wooting Off all day long at Home.Woot, Electronics.Woot, Computers.Woot, Tools.Woot, Fashion.Woot, Sport.Woot, Kids.Woot, and—everyone’s favorite!—Wine.Woot (motto: wine and also other random things).
One $5 shipping charge covers you for the entire day, no matter how many orders you place. The trick today will be that they’ll have a ton of good deals, but sprinkled amongst them will be a smattering of great deals (if history is any indication), and those will sell out fast. I’d keep a window up and check back frequently if you don’t want to miss anything.
Happy Black Friday!
Goooooood morning! I’m up bright and early (thoroughly confusing the dog who sleeps in our room, though he didn’t seem to mind once I fed him…) and I’ll be spending the day here finding the best deals possible. Play your cards right and you shouldn’t need to leave the house all day.
I’ll start, as always, with the Amazon Daily Deals and Lightning Deals, and so should you, because this is the one day of the year where the deals will knock your socks off. Why, for starters, they’ve got this 6-quart Instant Pot available all day for just $68.95 shipped (lowest price ever by a good $10, and about $50 off the average price).
The other thing I’ll be watching all day are the hourly Mystery Deals at 6pm. In addition to those, their steepest discounts, everything ships for free today and coupon code BLACKFRI takes an additional 15% off almost everything.
Let’s get started.
Now that’s a teddy bear
Have you been wanting to get a larger-that-normal teddy bear for someone on your list this season, but haven’t quite made it all the way to the 93″ monstrosities they sell at Costco for $200?
I’ve got you covered: Right now Toys ‘R’ Us has this 42″ Animal Alley Teddy Bear for $39.99—which isn’t bad at all—plus free shipping. But apply coupon code BLACKFRIDAY and the price drops to just $19.99 for a 3-and-a-half-foot tall bear. I mean, I don’t know where you’re going to put it, but that’s going to be a pretty exciting gift for someone small, I’m guessing.
Don’t want the bear? That’s fine. You can shop some of their other Black Friday specials early, today, and if you spend $19+, shipping is free. I bet they have something else you want.
