Your dose of Black Friday culture
Sure, everyone else is out there muscling around for electronics and such, but all you really want is a great deal on your favorite educational DVDs. Or maybe just Mythbusters. Whatever. I don’t judge. Here’s a few ways to get your Black Friday on and feel a little highbrow while you’re at it:
The A&E Store’s Black Friday Deals are up to 60% off regular price, and include Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth, so, you know, that may be worth a look. Shipping on $59+ is automatically free.
The History Channel Store’s Black Friday Deals include limited quantities of items up to 50% off. Shipping on $59+ is automatically free.
And last (but not least), the Discovery Channel Store’s Black Friday Deals mean great deals of up to 70% off your favorites, and shipping is free on orders of $75+ with code FREESHIP. (They have some very cool kids’ toys in addition to the regular assortment of DVDs.)
There. Don’t you feel more cultured, now?
Black Friday Threadless
All day today, all tees are just $9 apiece at Threadless. Where else are you going to find awesome shirts proclaiming things like “Meat is Murder. Tasty, tasty murder,” or “Magic is just stuff science hasn’t made boring yet,” I ask you? Noplace, that’s where else.
Santa loves to stick Threadless shirts in stockings at our house. Santa has an excellent sense of fashion humor.
Let the mayhem begin!
Gooooooood morning! Ready to get a Black Friday high from the comfort of your computer screen? I sure hope so. I’ve got my coffee and my computer and… um… my dog. She is very concerned about finding the best deal, dontchaknow.
A few suggestions to start out your day:
The Target Daily Deals contain both a super-fast wine chiller (great gift for your favorite wine snob) and a Dyson vacuum. Actually, all of their deals today are good ones. And that’s not even touching their Black Friday specials, either. Go, team Target! Don’t forget; whatever you buy there, spend $50+ and come back and click through this link before checkout to get an additional $5 off.
The Early Bird specials are up at Kohls, with free automatic shipping on $100+ and Kohls cash for every $10 spent. Use code TURKEY15 to take 15% off, no Kohls card necessary!
Check out the doorbusters at Macy’s today, and use coupon code THANKS to get free shipping on your $99+ purchase.
More coffee and more deals are coming up! (I am going to be completely unbearable by noon. I’m just letting you know.)
Well, it’s already Friday somewhere
And that somewhere is apparently Overstock.com, where Black Friday is already in full swing. There’s some fabulous deals to be had.
I’m not going to lie, though—I’m headed to bed. I’ll be up bright and early tomorrow to track the madness, never fear.
If you missed the Best Buy iPod Touch deal
I am so full I think I might pop. Trying to burn off all of those calories surfing the deals is perhaps not working as well as I’d hoped, but it seems to be working in your favor….
So I know there was a big deal at Best Buy earlier on an iPod Touch, but it sold out pretty quickly. Don’t fret! Try this one on for size: Right now at Amazon, buy an 8GB iPod Touch for $180, get a $30 Amazon gift card for free. So you’re essentially paying $150, because heaven knows there’s always something you can find to buy at Amazon.
Hope that helps those of you who were bummed about missing the other one. Also? I hope you are also very full today—both heart and stomach.
Best Buy Black Friday doorbusters, today
Here’s another get-in-online-now, sleep-in-tomorrow chance: Best Buy already has their doorbusters up, and there’s some incredible deals—check out the Wii games! (I may or may not have snagged Raving Rabbids TV Party for $10. Let’s just say I squealed a little when I saw it.)
And a GPS deal as an appetizer
I swear I’m headed back to the kitchen, but looky here—if a GPS is one of the reasons you’re planning to head out at o’dark thirty tomorrow morning, save yourself: Target has a TomTom GPS bundle for just $97 with free shipping. (For reference: It’s $160 at Amazon.)
Once you’ve added it to your cart, come on back and click through this link to get another $5 off, too.
Happy trails!
As a warm-up to Black Friday
I’ll be stalking the Amazon Black Friday Week toy deals today, not the least of which because as I post this, they’re counting down to a lightning deal on a “disgusting science” kit.
My stuffing’s in the crock pot, my husband’s peeling potatoes, and the dough for the rolls is rising. I think I can sit here for seven minutes to potentially snag that if the price is right.
We love us some science, ’round here. (Also, we love disgusting. Don’t judge.)
[Edited to add: Lightning Deal price on that kit is $9.99. Get ’em before they’re gone!]
Once the turkey’s in
Happy Thanksgiving! I wish everyone a day of fun, laughter, gratitude, and pie. (Mmmm… pie.)
You’re probably a little busy today, but if you find yourself with a few minutes to spare, the weekend doorbusters are already going at Old Navy. Plus, today (Thursday, November 26th) only, you can use coupon code ONTENOFF to take $10 off your $50+ purchase.
Just in case you need a new winter coat while you’re waiting for the turkey to finish, or whatever.
Flip for this deal
Been looking for a 120-minute Flip camcorder for under $100? How about this Flip Ultra 2nd Gen model for $89? There’s a bunch of special offers, too, like $10 off if you pay with your Discover card, and 55 free prints, and some other things.
I pink puffy heart my Flip. You’ve got to love a camcorder that’s sort of like a second cell phone in your purse (weight and shape), so you can whip it out and catch those unexpected moments. It’s great for future blackmail.
