Good Cyber Monday morning!

Good morning! I am having some trouble focusing on the deals, just yet, because my (nearly adult) children seem to think I should be feeding them and packing lunches and loving on them just because they were gone for most of last week. Hmph! (Well, they’re right. But they’re leaving soon, don’t worry.)

The first deal to pique my interest today: Everything in the Amazon Warehouse Deals section is an extra 15% off at checkout today. That’s a nice little perk on items already marked down. Remember that often items from the Warehouse are simply returns or damaged boxes—this is where we’ve picked up a lot of big-tickets items on the cheap.

Start with that, and I’ll be back shortly.

Here’s your Cyber Monday warm-up

I think I’ve recovered from Black Friday, finally. Here’s a few deals to tide you over until tomorrow:

One of the Daily Deals today in the Amazon Gold Box is up to 75% off outerwear for the whole family. There are some crazy good deals in there, especially for the kids. (Rugged Bear parka/snowpant sets for under $30!)

Schoola is still offering $20 credit on sign-up for new members, and whether you’re new or not, through tomorrow you can use coupon code DELIGHTED for half off just about everything. Shipping is free, too.

Target is still continuing with their daily deals—and there’s a ton of ’em—plus if you spend $100+ on decorations you’ll save $25. (Sometimes the somewhat late bird actually gets the worm.)

What tomorrow will bring… I don’t really know, yet. We’ll see!

One more electronics deal

I’m about the knock off for today, very soon (has this day been 20 hours long, or was it just me??), but I just scored one last great deal I wanted to share. There’s a ton of great Black Friday deals over at Panasonic, though you may have to dig a bit. Some things are already marked down, some say “APPLY COUPON CODE BLACKFRIDAY!” and it’s just a surprise how much gets taken off (hint: a lot).

One of my kids really needed some new headphones, and so I snagged a $40 pair for $10, which is fine by me. But they’ve got headphones, cameras, TVs, massage chairs (what?), all kinds of stuff. Worth a look for sure.

Shipping is free, too. And they take Paypal!

If you need a little of this and that…

… you should probably go online to Cost Plus World Market rather than going to the store, because if you’re anything like me, being in the store causes complete overwhelm. (I like it there, mind you. I just become paralyzed by choice.) Besides, today they’re doing 50% off nearly everything online, whereas in the physical store it’s Buy 1, Get 1 Free, instead. This is a better deal if you don’t need two.

Shipping isn’t free until $100+ (use code JINGLEBELL), but it starts at just $4.95. Use coupon code SAVEBIG10 to save an additional 10% and offset that shipping cost.

I love their holiday stuff, but also all sorts of their various tchotchke things, too. It’s all cute! And then I can’t decide!! Which is why I never go in the store, anymore.

Get your outdoorsy gear

How could I have almost forgotten three of my favorite stores for rugged clothing and all manner of outdoorsy things?? This is what happens when I get up early and have 15 windows open on my desktop at once, I guess.

Check it out: Take 30% off everything at Eddie Bauer today with coupon code SNOWBALL. Get 10% off at LL Bean with coupon code THANKS10 plus get $10 for every $50 you spend. Both stores are offering free shipping on every order, too. Finally, at Lands’ End, use coupon code BLACK with PIN 2727 for 50% off outerwear and 40% off everything else. (Code works on sale/clearance, but you’ll need to spend $50+ for free shipping.)

I’m off to see what we might need….

The best stocking stuffer, period

In this age of connectivity, the only thing sadder than everyone staring down at their phones instead of talking to each other is… when your phone’s battery dies. Or so my teens would have me believe.

We have gone through all kinds of power bricks and back-up chargers ’round here, and the reality is that those little “stick” batteries just don’t hold much charge. They’re good in an emergency, sure, but they don’t really deliver in terms of going the distance.

Check this out: Right now Amazon has this Aukey 20000mAh Portable Charger available for $29.99—pretty reasonable, already—and you can use coupon code QBI8OGMD to take another $12 off, making it just $18. That’s crazy cheap for a charger of this caliber, and according to the reviews it will hold enough juice to fully recharge your phone 5-6 times.

This is perfect for anyone, but especially your favorite Snapchat-addicted teen whose phone is always “nearly dead.” Enjoy being a hero on Christmas morning.

Black Friday, Nordy’s-style

The ever-vigilant Elz poked me on Twitter to suggest that folks head over to Nordstrom today for some great deal, particular in the kids’ department. Personally, even with the sales (they’re doing an extra 25% off almost everything, plus shipping is free), they’re still a bit rich for my blood. But that’s okay, because for me (and maybe you), there’s also Nordstrom Rack, which is even cheaper, and the clearance there is an extra 30% off today (reductions already taken; prices are as marked) and free shipping. That’ll work for me.

Essential reading

I’m sorry, but if you don’t have a copy of The Essential Calvin and Hobbes in your house right now, you have to buy it. I’m pretty sure it’s a law. Especially when it’s marked down to just $7.27 (its lowest price ever!) and—if you haven’t used it yet—you can apply coupon code HOLIDAY30 for another 30% off, making it just over $5. Where else can you spend $5 and get this kind of joy??

Go. Get it before the price goes back up.

Black Friday department store deals

Here’s your round-up of what’s happening at the big stores today (and not a one requires you to leave the house):

It started earlier this week, but Black Friday is still going strong at Kohls, with free shipping at $50 and code TURKEYTIME taking 15% off your order of even deeply-discounted items. The deals are too numerous to count, but if you’re in the market for kitchen items (small electric, cookware, etc.), this is a great time to scoop up some savings. Remember you’ll get $15 in Kohls Cash for every $50 you spend, too!

Over at Macy’s, they’ve got Web Busters, they’ve got free shipping at $50+, and they’ve got an additional 20% off with coupon code THANKS.

If it’s Bon-Ton you like (and I do, although you have to check the prices carefully—good sales, yes, but ridiculous “regular” pricing), they’re offering free shipping on every order with coupon code FREESHIP, 25% off sale items with code DAT25PNOV15, and $60 off your $100+ men’s or women’s coat purchase with coupon code ZDATCOATN15.

Today’s deal at Target is a 20% off coupon for some shopping next month (what, like you’re not going to be back at Target next week anyway?) if you spend $75 today. And that’ll be easy, because just about everything is on sale, including a nice BOGO 50% off on popular toy brands (hello, Minecraft).

The only problem here is deciding where to shop first.

Happy Black Friday on your favorite clothing brands

Okay, well, maybe they’re not your favorites, but they were my staples for the kids for years—today save big at the Gap family of stores:

At Old Navy, everything is 40-60% off, automatically. At Gap, code BLKFRIDAY takes 50% off everything, and over at Banana Republic, BRFRIDAY takes half off sweaters and 40% off everything else.

Remember that the sites share a basket, and you’ll get free shipping on $50+ from any combination of purchases. And if you’re struggling to meet the minimum, well, remember that you can always return items in-store.
