Imagine if—as a busy mom—you could just pick up some extra memory for yourself, like a little something to plug in so that you not only manage to work a full day, get the kids’ homework checked and shuffle them to various activities, but you also remember to make dinner. Wouldn’t that be great? (I usually manage everything on that list but then get back home and realize I forgot to cook anything. Oops!)
Well, I don’t really know of a good way to expand that kind of memory, but I do know that right now at Buy.com you can pick up a 2-pack of 2GB thumb drives for $19.99 shipped. It won’t get dinner made, but they are pretty handy.

Hey hey hey, it’s Restaurant.com time again! Today only, use coupon code COUNTDOWN to take 70% off your order. And as if $25 of dining for a grand total of $3 wasn’t enough, you’ll also receive a code for $15 off any order at deLaFlowers! (There was some confusion the last time there was a bonus code; the code will appear on your confirmation page in the lower right-hand corner within 24 hours of purchasing.)
I still need to use my $20 Dale & Thomas code from the last time I bought a certificate, but I sure did have fun topping off everyone’s stockings on Christmas Eve with bags of gourmet popcorn from my last great buy there….

Hey, I think today is a special day. Hrm. Let me think. Well, it was already Christmas. And I’m pretty sure it’s not Easter yet. Wait, I’ve almost got it…. Huh. No idea.
Okay, anyway, Macy’s is having another big sale in honor of whatever holiday it is that’s coming up. Just thought you might like to know.
(Yes, I’m still on the road. Yes, I’m getting a little punchy.)

We’re off on the second leg of our trip today, so I’m about to get back into the car. Because lord knows I have not spent enough time in the car lately.
While I’m sleeping (and probably drooling; you’re welcome for that mental image) in the passenger seat, here’s some goodies for you to check out today.
This isn’t a very exciting Overstock coupon, but if you’re shopping there anyway, you can take $5 off your $100+ purchase through that there link.
The Big Chill end-of-season sale is on at Altrec, and through January 6th, 2008, you can still use coupon code hohoho20off to take another 20% off your purchase.
Need sneakers? There’s a big Adidas sale going on at Endless, and you can buy there or save even more by pricematching at Zappos.
There’s all kinds of clearance at Family Christian, plus you can use coupon code 1179794 to take an additional 25% off your order through January 2nd, 2007.
Finally, if you haven’t had your fill of Coldwater Creek lately, take 70% off with coupon code WLH4178.

(I am speaking, of course, of the things you can count on in life.)
(Notice that I did not include “getting sick while on vacation” on that list, even though I am. Harumph.)
Anyway. You do not care about my sad tale of woe, but you do care about the Amazon Friday Sale. Which is fine. Trust me, the Friday Sale is more interesting.
Unfortunately, I’m not quite up to going through it for you today, so you’re on your own. Go buy yourself something nice (provided it’s deeply discounted, of course).

Just a quickie for those of you who have a local Target store—their Christmas stock should be going to 75% off today (Friday, December 28th). That will include all of the standard things like lights and wrapping paper and such, but it will also include anything that came in Christmas packaging or was specifically ordered for Christmas (but maybe isn’t blatantly Christmasy). If you decide to hit your local Target and want some unexpected deals, look for things like paper towels and napkins with winter prints, gift sets of personal care items, red- and green-wrapped candy, and pajamas with a holiday theme.
Sometimes the store forgets to move some of those things to the special holiday clearance section, but the markdowns are done in the main computer. So if you find something that you suspect may be marked down, go ahead and scan it to check the price.
You’re welcome.

I believe in life, liberty, justice, and the pursuit of really clean teeth. Just ask anyone.
Once upon a time I asked my dentist if those fancy electric toothbrushes really work, and he told me that they absolutely do… provided that you shell out the money for a good one. Me, I have an Ultrasonex that I got on a great deal, and my teeth are pretty happy.
One of the latest and greatest in the war against plaque is the Oral B Triumph 9900. Right now it’s down to $99.99 (regularly $150) at Amazon, and there’s also a $10 rebate available.
What’s more, if you spend a total of $129 on select Braun and Oral B products
, you’ll receive a $50 certificate towards a future Amazon purchase. That’s not even counting all of the money you won’t have to give the dentist this year….

I’m sure at least one of you got a gift card to Eddie Bauer this week. (I wish I had gotten one. Not because I didn’t have a marvelous Christmas, but because I have noticed—via my incredible powers of observation and deduction—that it is entirely too cold here in Massachusetts. I am enjoying our time here with family, but I will be happy to get back to Georgia, is all I’m saying. Some EB fleece is sounding pretty good right about now.)
Anyway, their Ultimate Winter Sale is on, and there’s plenty of nice warm, fuzzy stuff to choose from. (And some stuff that isn’t fuzzy. But did I mention how cold it is here?)

Have a music box collector in your family? Now’s the time to stock up for next year; the Christmas items at San Francisco Music Box are on clearance, plus you can ship any size order for free with coupon code CCFS8. (Code is good through March 31st, 2008, and will work on anything, not just clearance.)
Really, the only challenge here is figuring out how you’ll remember what you already bought, when next year rolls around.

Computer virus free, that is. If anyone knows of how to avoid getting a cold for an entire year, I’m all ears.
Anyway, the best way to stay virus-free on your computer is to buy a Mac. Obviously. But if you’re not doing that, for some reason, I suppose you might want to pick up a copy of McAfee Total Protection for up to three users. It’s just $9.99 shipped from Buy.com today. (Looks like it runs about $40 on Amazon.)
[Insert your favorite Mac vs. PC commercial here. Heh.]
