I’m not sure what the big deal about laser levels is. I mean, when I want to hang stuff on the wall, I just whine until my husband does it for me. No level required!

Amazon currently has the Strait-Line Self-Leveling Crossed Line Laser marked down to just $9.95 (free shipping eligible). Reviews are largely positive, and it’s the cheapest I’ve seen one of these. And most guys I know would find this an awesome stocking stuffer.
Though I have to say, the whining method is good, too.

In my house (built 1890) I’m not sure if this would even do any good. Nothing, and I mean nothing, is square. The 2 by 4s actually measure 2″ by 4″, too.
I picked up two, one for husband and one for Dad. Now they have no excuses for not building some custom shelving for the Playroom!!
