Peanut buttery

I know peanut butter is a dirty word (er, pair of words) in many of our schools these days thanks to the prevalence of nut allergies, but if your family eats peanut butter and is trying to stay organic/natural without sacrificing delicious, this may be of interest.

Through the end of the month, Amazon is offering special savings on Justin’s Nut Butters, which are all-organic and not only come in kid-friendly flavors like cinnamon or chocolate, but also come in handy squeeze packs for eating on the go, too.

Unfortunately, many of the options are sold out, but of what remains, it looks like everything’s already marked down by 23%. Then use coupon code JUSTIN77 to save another 20%, and buy via Subscribe & Save to get free shipping and save another 15%! So, for example, 30 portable squeeze packs of cinnamon peanut butter end up at your door for $9.69—that’s just $.32/pack.

I have a friend who keeps these in her van and tosses them at surly children when their blood sugar is low. I bow to her genius.

  1. I was reading and thinking, “why would I ever need squeeze packs?” Your friend rocks. Would be handy for camping too now that I think about it.

  2. The squeeze packs are also good for lunchboxes, if your kid is allowed to pack it and they like it on apples/pretzels/celery/whatever. 🙂

  3. The tone of “if your family eats peanut butter…” sounds a little like, “if you’re into kicking puppies…”

  4. Ooooh, this sounds like another great thing for the Disney trip. And, unlike the fruit crisps (which sadly were not a hit), my local coop stocks them so I can try before I order.

  5. HEY! I invented the idea of peanut butter in a squeeze pack 15 years ago when I was in high school! Sadly, I did not patent my genius. And then I gave birth to a little peanut- and tree nut-allergic child. *Sigh.* Where’s the justice?

  6. Thanks! I think these will be a diaper bag / park snack wonder. Getting sick of handing them granola bars.

  7. Thanks! We’re going on a 3 week road trip in 2 weeks. I’ve been stocking up on all the good deals you’ve been posting for portable snacks – this rounds out my stash quite nicely.

  8. I bought the honey/peanut butter flavor. It will be excellent for lunches and vacations. I have seen it at World Market before, but never this cheap!
