I’ll admit it: I ran out of Pamela’s Baking Mix about a month ago, and I’ve just been waiting for a deal to stock back up, in the meantime. It’s hard to justify spending $7 on a pound and a half of gluten-free flour when you can buy five pounds of regular all-purpose flour for $2.50, y’know? Not that I’m bitter. Much.
Anyway, Amazon is offering 25% off Pamela’s products in May, simply by applying 10% off coupon code PAMGFMAY and then purchasing via Subscribe & Save for another 15% off and free shipping.
I’ll be grabbing 12 pounds of the all-purpose mix (and storing it in the freezer, natch) for just $28 shipped, which comes out to around $2.35/pound. Still a far cry from wheat flour, but a lot cheaper than it would be, otherwise.
Have you tried their chocolate brownie mix? It’s darn good, just add water and oil, and voila! Fudgy, chunky, chocolatey, yummy, gluten and egg free brownies! (I did subscribe and save on cases of that a long time ago, I make a batch a week or so for my six year old.)
Agree, Jenn! I try really hard not to buy the sweets as I’m the only GF one (and I can make regular brownies for the kids and not be tempted to eat them). But.. yes. Yum.
Seriously? I’m beginning to think there is a secret plot to make us go broke. My family is new to the gluten free club with honorary membership in the dairy and egg free clubs as well. So not only am I spending tons of money on allergen-free foods, and giving away my pantry of allergen-full foods, but all the foods we’ll likely be consuming regularly are on sale this month so I’m stocking-up. I know it’s all for the best but this month’s budget summary is not going to be pretty!
Sorry for the rant. Mir, you’re very pretty for sending this deal my way!
The bread mix is amazing and WAY better than anything I’ve created for my self the last two years. AND the sale price of the bread mix 25lb bag is better than the price of ordering 200lbs and shipping it direct from pamelas. This is a great price! Though they don’t recommend freezing that flour mix.
Thanks for the tip! I scooped up both the baking mix and the bread mix. But since when does Prime shipping not apply to Subscribe & Save? It seems like a recent change (but I might be halucinating about how quickly those popchips were coming in April).
