Okay, so, I’m about to out myself as not terribly logical. But my confession is about laundry, so somehow I feel like you may forgive me. Here goes: I buy organic laundry detergent, but I still buy Bounce dryer sheets. I know. Does that make any sense at all? Probably not. (I can’t find an organic one I like as much.)
I feel better now.
If you, too, have a thing for Bounce, I have a deal for you: Amazon currently has a 2-pack of 120-count Bounce Outdoor Fresh dryer sheets available for just $9.32 shipped when you buy via Subscribe & Save. But if you’re offered grocery coupons on Amazon, you should also have an available $1.50 off coupon to clip (scroll down a little to find it), making it just $7.82 shipped, or around just $.03/sheet.
That’s a lot of static-free laundry, is all I’m sayin’.
Have you tried the Method dryer sheets? I love them. Can’t find them in stores, but readily available on-line.
Pretty Mir,
Is there a tutorial in your archives somewhere about Subscribe & Save, how to find the grocery coupons, etc. for someone who is too lazy to investigate fully? Look, I’m even too lazy to search the archives!
Thanks from someone who uses Amazon.com mostly to buy movies. 🙂
Wool dryer balls. I’m allergic to the scents in the dryer sheets, and the wool balls do a good job. There are directions for making your own on the web.
I like the Bounce Free and Sensitive. Amazon has a great price on 3 boxes, with a $1.50 coupon. Thanks
I had an additional $5 coupon so they came to $2,82!!! WooHoo….. Tx Mir.
I second the wool dryer balls. We never could find “green” dryer sheets that we liked either (even the method ones), so I researched and switched to the wool dryer balls. We purchased ours from Big Horn Mountain Alpacas and absolutely love ours. (It’s cute that they tell you which particular alpaca your wool balls came from, too. :~) ) Plus, they are so soft that I’ve been known to pet them when they come out of the dryer (yes, I am odd. Why do you ask?) I discovered this seller on Etsy and she was super-communicative, nice, and answered all the questions I had about the dryer balls, although I purchased from their own website at http://bhmalpacas.com instead.
If you purchase them, do research on the seller, etc. to make sure the balls won’t unravel from the way they were felted. I checked out a lot of sellers (some who wouldn’t answer questions about how they were made) to ensure we had some that would stand the test of time and wouldn’t come apart in the dryer.
Put me down as another big fan of Method dryer cloths, which are plant-derived and eco friendly. The rice mallow scented ones (technically for babies, but I love them for my clothes as an adult) are my favorite, and they do a lovely job on my clothes. I’m not sure the sales are quite as good, though….
My kids all have severe eczema, so……. dryer sheets = extreme itch in our house. I just put up with static for a while (my children actually enjoying zapping each other). BUT I am now a HUGE fan of wool dryer balls. I can even get scented ones (if made properly), and scents are usually a huge no-no for their skin. My laundry smells yummy, my clothes dry faster, and no static. There are bad ones out there, though, so make sure you do your research. Personally I love Bouncing Woolies. 🙂
Beth (and anyone else): I did indeed write a quick post explaining using Subscribe & Save before. It’s very easy and does not obligate you to future deliveries! You can cancel at any time (even right after you order). HTH.
