I’m a sucker for old-style glassware when I visit thrift stores, but more often than not I end up passing on good deals because what am I going to do with, say, just a couple of spice jars? That’s a cheap way to get stuff, but it’s hard to make a whole set.
So I may be a little over-excited for this one: Right now Amazon has these Anchor Hocking glass gallon-size candy jars available for just $5.96 apiece when you buy directly from Amazon (look in the “More Buying Choices” sidebar to the right). These usually run about $20 apiece, and this is Amazon’s lowest price ever.
These are great for storing all sorts of things. And they’re so pretty! I feel certain that Licorice really wishes we had one full of dog treats. And I would hate to disappoint her.
Whoa, that was fast. Can’t find the deal, even in “more buying choices”. Oh, well.
Looks like they’ve already updated it – the main screen shows “Buy New from $5.96” but when you click through the Amazon price is over $20. 🙁
Dang it! Sorry about that, folks.
Got some at the Evil Empire (Wal-Mart) and we use them on my son’s desk to store crayons, colored pencils, and markers. They were about $6, if I recall.
I see the cheaper price still.
I just bought 4 at the cheaper price. They will however only ship mid-Septemer! Thanks pretty Mir. 😉
I just ordered four at the deal price, too, but I had to look in the other options. It says 1-2 months for shipping, but I’ve been looking for a great price on these for a little bit. Thanks, Mir!
