I shared a deal here a while back where Amazon Warehouse stuff had additional discounts, including some very highly-rated vacuums, and that’s when I got myself a new vacuum, which I am now shamelessly, deeply madly in love with. (So much so, that I am willing to end that sentence in a preposition.) I ended up with the SharkNinja TruePet on a ridiculous deal, and now I am a newly-converted Shark devotee.
All of this is to say that my nerdy little heart may have skipped a beat when I saw that Home.Woot is featuring deals on a variety of Shark vacuums today, even though if I buy another vacuum right now my husband may have me committed. Of particular note is the refurbished Shark HV301 Ultra-Light stick vac, which is a perfect option if you live in a small space or if you want a supplemental vacuum in a larger space. (Yes, I have a stick vac in the kitchen so that I don’t have to get out the big vacuum every time I’m baking and end up spilling flour on the dogs.) (Er, I mean, I am the picture of tidiness, but you never know.)
Home.Woot’s price today on these is just $69.99. (For reference, this costs $125 new from Amazon, and has an overall 4.4/5 star rating with nearly 4,000 reviews.)
So, uh, I can’t snag one of these, but maybe you need one. Or maybe I should go do some cleaning with my current stick vac and see if maybe it breaks…? (I kid! I would never. Probably.)
Thoughts on how this would do with long human hair? Three girls in this household, four when the college girl is home, and I spend so much time cutting hair from the roller of our Kirby…
So, I don’t have THIS vacuum, which means you have to take this with a grain of salt. But: I used to have to cut hair off the roller of our Kirby. All. The. Time. My new Shark (not this model) has a roller that pops out for cleaning, which I was excited about (no more cutting!), but I’ve actually never popped it out, yet. If I just pull on the nearest clump, it seems to all come off the roller in one fell swoop. I don’t know how or why, but it does.
I have the HV301 stick vac and also long human hair, and I shed constantly – I actually burned the roller brush motor out last month because I didn’t clean it between completing the living and dining rooms and going to vacuum the bedroom. Enough was wrapped around that the roller couldn’t spin, and by the time I finished the bedroom the motor melted a little of the plastic housing….
I was able to buy a replacement roller/motor piece (the bottom part of the vacuum) for not TOO expensive, but I was annoyed with myself for needing to do that. I just make sure now that I check the roller after each room (super easy – lift the door, pop the roller out, check, put it back) to hopefully prevent that from happening.
It’s been the perfect vac for my smallish house otherwise.
