I make my own granola. There, I said it. Call me a hippie if you like. But the thing is, sometimes we run out and I don’t have time to make more, because it turns out that making granola is not the highest thing on my list of priorities.
Anyway, this means that I still like to try ready-made stuff, periodically. Just so I know where to turn for a back-up. Zoe’s wants to give you some free granola if you’re willing to give them your opinion, and I’m pretty sure your opinion is worth at least a bowl of cereal, right?
I love homemade granola, but I frequently get distracted and burn mine. Then the birds get a treat.
What do you put in your granola?
Oh, boy! Someone who wants to talk granola! (Hey, it doesn’t take much to make me happy….) Rolled oats, sunflower seeds, flax meal, honey, walnuts, coconut, raisins, dried cranberries, and whatever else I have laying around that looks good. Hee. 😀
Thanks! I’m not hippie enough to make my own, but I am hippie enough to enjoy eating it.
Thanks. I love granola and I even make my own – but not in the summer when its eleventy-million degrees out.
So then you just toast all those ingredients and you’re done? I’m very interested in hearing about this. I would love to learn how to make granola.
We go through trail mix/granola like there is no tomorrow. I would love a very good Granola For Dummies recipe and explicit directions (hint, hint, hint)
Granola is easy! Don’t fear the granola!
I started with Alton Brown’s recipe, and have since discovered that it’s VERY easy to modify. In fact, my buddy Chris posted her recipe after she and I spent some time comparing notes. 🙂
Ok, I signed up for the free granola, but now I’m thinking I need to make some too 🙂 Thanks for the recipe links AND the link to the Zoe’s site.
Talking about free (but not about granola) I received a 4 lb box today from UPS chock full of great samples–Flat Earth fruit crisps, Blue Diamond almonds, Quaker Mini-Delights, a full-sized bottle of Italian dressing, a bunch of make-up and body care samples, and two totes. I don’t remember signing up for this stuff, but I know in my heart of hearts that you must be responsible for my happiness. Talk about PRETTY!
i love granola. i do not make my own, but have bought great varieties at our local health food store.
Heidi, sounds like you got an Oprah tote!
