When in doubt, shop for shoes

I really am not shopping for shoes these days—it tends to cut into the number of hours I spend watching terrible daytime television while waiting for people to come Do Things and Make Things Better (pro tip: hospitals are depressing and you should avoid them!)—but if I was shopping for shoes, it’d be nice to know I had options.

There’s always 6pm.com, of course. Today’s featured deals are heavy on shoes, sure, but there’s quite a few clothing bargains in there as well, if you’d rather.

Right now at Famous Footwear you can take 20% off nearly anything with coupon code FATHERSDAY12, and if you’d rather print that one out to take to the store, you can do that, too.

Shoebuy is offering an extra 25% off almost anything right now with coupon code EMLSURPRISE25, and over at Shoes.com you can use code 25SALE for an extra 25% off items already on sale or clearance.

It turns out that shoes will not make everything all better, but we can still make sure they’re fun to shop for, right? Right.

More music discounts at Amazon

You did snag your free $2 MP3 credit yesterday, right? If that wasn’t quite enough to keep your iPod happy, just hop on over to Amazon Local today—one of their deals is a free $4 credit towards any album priced at $7.99+.

(For me—Atlanta Northeast—this was a “Nearby Deal” listed across the bottom of the screen, but for some areas it’s the featured deal right at the top. Just go to your Local page there and if it’s not the main attraction, look lower on the page.)

Half price music? I’m on it.

Here, go get some free tunes

It’s Get You Some Free Music At Amazon time once again! Just go visit the MP3 Credit Redemption Page and enter code MP3S4ALL to get a $2 credit towards the music of your choice.

But hurry—this credit expires when the clock strikes midnight on June 15th. Get it while the getting’s good!

And Vicky’s having one, too

Can I call Victoria of Victoria’s Secret Vicky, do you think? She seems like she would be a Vicky. If she’s a real person, anyway.

Not to be outdone by foaming hand soap (there’s a dirty joke in there, somewhere, but I’ll leave it to you), the Victoria’s Secret Semi-Annual Sale is on right now as well. Just about everything’s on sale, and you can use coupon code 20SPLASH for an extra 20% off swim clearance, too. Spend $100+ (on anything) and you can use coupon code SHIPVS12 for free shipping.

I actually like a lot of their swim options, or maybe it’s just that I would like to look like their swim models. Hard to tell.

Hello there, semi-annual sale!

Smell more better, as my kids say. (Funny, grammar has never been a real sticking point with them.) The semi-annual sale is on over at Bath & Body Works, and that means up to 75% off all the good-smelling soaps, lotions, and other yummy things you might want.

Add coupon code HELLOSALE20 for an additional 20% off everything in your order, too. Shipping starts at $5.99 and goes up from there; generally during these sales I find the sweet spot is somewhere around $35ish and above in terms of the extra coupon canceling out the shipping cost.

Pick up the cheap stuff now, stock the gift closet, and look like a genius when the holidays roll around next winter.

All the Battle of the Apes you can get

This is turning out to be the Summer of Blu-ray Deals at Amazon. I love it! Or maybe I just have a thing for old movies.

(Did you snag the Alien deal a few weeks ago? That is proving to be a very welcome diversion for us these days. Scary movies are a good distraction.)

Anyway, I could make a joke about Father’s Day and your favorite primate (ba-dum dum!), but I’ll let you figure that one out on your own. I’ll simply point you to this Planet of the Apes Blu-ray collection, all five movies in a single set for just $24.99 shipped from Amazon. (Er, shipped if you have Prime. If you’re using Super Saver Shipping, you’ll need to find an item for a penny or something else you need to get you to the free shipping threshold.)

Really, what’s better than talking apes? Okay, maybe vicious aliens. But you’ve already got those, and this runs a close second.

Love it twice as much at Loft

Someone was asking me recently for a sale alert for Loft, and I was all, “Oh yes, I’ll let you know!” And then I forgot who it was. Was it you? I hope it was you.

Anyway, as you may have guessed, now would be a good time to scoot on over there. All sale items are an extra 50% off, automatically, when you add them to your cart. There’s tons of in-season options available, too, including most of their bathing suits.

Shipping is free if you spend $125+, otherwise it’s a flat $8.95. And don’t forget that if you have a local Loft, you can always over-order a bit and return to the store, provided you’re not trying to return anything marked “Final Sale.” Just a handy tip.

BOGO beauty, shipped for free

If you check out today’s Target Daily Deals you’ll see it’s more than the usual five items. Today their spotlight deal is Buy One, Get One Free on select beauty items (there’s nearly 100 eligible items), plus your purchase will, of course, ship for free because it’s a Daily Deal.

There’s everything from nail polish to picture frames (filled with hair ties, but still), and surely with prices like these there are a couple of things you “need.”

You’re looking pretty today, Kohls

Well hey there, Kohls, you’re like a breath of fresh air on an otherwise rotten day. I know it’s been a while since you ponied up the good coupons, but today everything’s different, right? Right.

There’s still time to order for Father’s Day, by the way. Just in case Dad was unaware that you shop at Kohls all the time, anyway.

Everyone gets free shipping on their $75+ order, and earns $10 Kohls Cash for every $50 spent. If you have a Kohls Charge Card, stack coupon codes JUNE30 for an extra 30% off and code JUNEFS4MVC for free shipping on any size order. No Kohls Card? You can still use code NEW6441 for an extra 10% off, but really, why don’t you have a Kohls Card??

[My kiddo is back in the hospital so posting is going to be light for the foreseeable future. Talk amongst yourselves and hug your babies, okay?]

Mmmmm… pita chips

The truth is that I don’t miss bread all that much since giving up gluten, but what I really do miss is the endless variety of crunchy, snacky things which contain wheat. (Yes, I snack on tortilla chips. But… meh.) One of the things I miss like crazy is Stacy’s Pita Chips in all their various, delicious varieties, because those were yummy with hummus. Or cheese. Or straight from the bag.

If you’re eligible for Amazon grocery coupons, check it out: You can get $6 off various Stacy’s products right now when you clip the coupon. Combine that with items already on sale, and available further discounts when you buy via Subscribe & Save, and suddenly you’ve got a party’s worth of pita or bagel chips on the cheap.

I’ll just be over here with my corn chips, feeling slightly bitter. No, no, it’s fine.
