Because Dad likes… that stuff

Any attempt to quantify What Dads Like always makes me laugh (ditto What Moms Like or really any sort of What [fill in the blank] Like), because who says all dads (or moms or extra-terrestrials) like the same things? They don’t. But I do appreciate the effort.

With that said—hopefully you now have a grain or twelve of salt ready—One Kings Lane has a boutique today called “The Dapper Dad.” Yes, it’s got quite a lot of golf-themed items in it. However, it also has a lot of vintage or vintage-feeling items of all sorts, and whether you’re shopping for Dad or yourself, I see quite a few nifty items in there.

I particularly like all of the beer stein options. Apparently your dad likes being sloshed.

It’s Clinique bonus time!

Been waiting for a new bonus offer to stock up on your Clinique favorites? It’s time! The current bonus is free with your $23.50+ purchase (such a weird number… there must be some $23 product they don’t want you buying just to get the bonus), and of course shipping is free if you spend $50+.

This adorable cosmetic bag comes stuffed with de-puffing eye massage gel, repairwear wrinkle/UV damage corrector, moisture surge intense skin fortifying hydrator, lash doubling mascara, an eye shadow duo, and one chubby stick moisturizing lip color.

As if that‘s not enough, coupon code VIP will also add a rinse-off foaming cleanser mini to your order, too. Clinique freebies always feel a little like winning the lottery….

A is for apple, J is for jacks

I ate a lot of Apple Jacks as a kid (and could sing you the commercial jingle at a moment’s notice), but of course I grew up and became a hippie-slash-food-nazi (depending on which of my children you ask), and I don’t buy them for my offspring. Because I’m mean.

Nevertheless, I’ve been assured that all of the other parents buy them for their kids, so if that’s true, here you go: Right now you can order a 3-pack of Kellogg’s Apple Jacks cereal in frustration-free packaging (uhh… because it’s awful when your cereal comes in complicated boxes?) for just $5.51 shipped when you buy via Subscribe & Save.

That’s under $2/box, though you really can’t put a price on being a nicer mom than I am.

Getting my foaming hand soap fix

Is everything on sale at Bath & Body Works right now? Maybe not everything, but pretty close. Hand soaps are 4 for $15 or 6 for $20, and all Signature Collection items are buy 3 get 2 free.

Here’s the icing on the cake: Spend $25+, and you can apply coupon code SPRING25 to ship your entire order for just $1. A measly dollar! You’d spend more than that in gas just thinking about going to the store. (Uh, don’t ask me how that works. I’m not a physicist or anything.) SPRING25 has expired; try TWENTY25, instead, for 20% off your $25+ order.

Happy shopping!

It’s a frame-up

Ooooh, check out the Umbra boutique today at Fab.com today—there’s a plethora of cool photo frames, and they all ship for free!

Yeah, I know it was just Mother’s Day. But that means Father’s Day is right around the corner. Just sayin’.

A super day for sandals

Today’s a great day to hit 6pm.com for sandals for the entire family—they’ve got a kids’ boutique of sandals under $25, and one for the grown-ups of under $50 options. As always, everything ships for free.

Also as always, every time I click on a “kids” sandal, they only seem to have it in infant sizes, but that’s the way it goes sometimes….

Foods you never thought of

True, before I had children, I never imagined I’d be buying something called “fruit rope,” nor did it occur to me that such a thing might be delicious. But we all know that parenthood has a way of changing your perspective. Heh.

Right now Amazon has this 24-pack of Clif Kid Organic Twisted Fruit Ropes available for just $11.39 shipped when you buy via Subscribe & Save, or around $.47/each. They’re made with all-natural everything, and my kids pretty much think they’re candy. I have yet to get that sort of response from, say, an actual apple.

Lunch in style next year

School’s nearly out for the summer for us (I know, I know; the school schedule in the south is silly), but I am always on the lookout for things to make packing lunches easier. Today I’m smitten with the Sistema shop featured in today’s Fab.com deals—colorful, modular lunch containers in various shapes and sizes (even special salad containers with built-in dressing cups) will make those packed lunches more festive.

And yes, before you ask—I do mostly use Lock & Lock to pack lunches, but I couldn’t resist a few pieces from here. Heh.

Snag new sandals at Sierra Trading Post

I haven’t been over to Sierra Trading Post in forever, and I’m not sure why not—every time I go, I’m all, “Oh, hey, I love this place!”

Right now they’re having a big sandal sale—check the graphic on the lower left of their main page—and my link should give you an automatic additional 20% off your order. Spend $100+ and use coupon code SITEBIG512, instead, for 20% off and free shipping.

If you’ve never shopped STP before, they’re a delightful mix of camping gear/clothes and high-end brands. It’s the perfect place to snag overstocks or last year’s models of things like Tevas and Keens for a lot less.
