Toys on your list?

Alright, let’s talk deal fatigue. It’s around this time of year that any 99% off!! sign screaming in my face fails to elicit even a cursory glance. It feels like everything has been on sale for forever and it all starts to blur together. I get it. You have to learn how to (quickly) suss out which deals are worth checking out.

For example, today in the Amazon Gold Box, one of the “Daily Deals” boasts “Save up to 30% on toys from Transformers, Little Live Pets, WWE, and more.” And my immediate reaction was basically “Who cares?”

1) I don’t particularly care for any of those toy lines (nor did my kids when they were little),
and
2) 30% off is for amateurs.

However, when you actually click through on that particular deal (which you might not do if you had that reaction and you weren’t me), you’ll quickly discover discounts much deeper than 30%—perhaps they mean it’s an additional 30% off?—and also tons of brands not mentioned in the title. Like, hello, Paw Patrol is a huge favorite of most little kids I know, and Skye’s Rocket Ship for under $6 is not only way more than 30% off, that’s actually a really good deal on a hot toy. And $9 for this Charizard card binder or $6 for this Pokemon X and Y one are the lowest price they’ve ever been, and any Pokemon fan with a card collection would be delighted with one of them.

Stuff like that. Moral of the story: Push through the fatigue. The deals are still out there!

Another LEGO deal? Another LEGO deal!

If your goal is to foster open-ended play and get as many LEGO bricks as possible for the least amount of money, here’s your deal: Right now tucked in amongst their Cyber Monday deals, Jet.com quietly priced this LEGO Classic Creative Building Set of 900 (!) pieces at just $24. (For reference: it’s currently $46.75 at Amazon.)

Now, the deal with Jet is that you’ll get free shipping on your $35+ order, so you’ll want to find something else to get to that threshold, but the good news is that they sell just about everything, so I’m confident that if there isn’t another Cyber Monday deal you want, you can find some dish soap or snacks you normally buy, anyway. And the more you buy, the more you save.

Way more than bags

I popped on over to eBags to see if there were any killer suitcase deals—and of course there are—but did you know they also carry clothing? I don’t know if that’s new or if I just missed it before, but they’ve got some doorbusters going on things like Patagonia and North Face outerwear, in addition to the usual suspects when it comes to spinners and backpacks and the like.

So-called “Steals of the Day” aren’t eligible for additional discounts, but most everything else can be discounted another 25% today with coupon code DEALS. Shipping is free on your $49+ order, otherwise it starts at $3.95.

Pro tip: You have some graduation(s) coming up next spring? Shop for luggage now. You’re welcome.

Need one great deal? Check here!

If you’ve got one Big Must Have Toy on your shopping list and haven’t found the right deal, yet, cross your fingers and head over to Barnes & Noble—in addition to an extra 15% off site-wide (use coupon code SHOPALLDAY), you can save 30% on a single qualifying toy or game, today only.

This can work out to a great deal on various LEGO sets (the extra 15% won’t apply, but the 30% off does) as well as tons of other high-ticket items. Check out the Sale section for the best deals, obviously, because the discounts work on those already-reduced prices.

Free shipping on your $25+ order, too.

Cyber Monday at the department stores

Bear in mind that we’re not going to see too many deals different from the ones that were available on Friday, but if you missed some (or have added items to your list), they’re worth checking out.

Kohls is no longer doing the Kohls Cash bonus they had last week, but there’s tons of doorbusters and coupon code BUYNOW20 gives you an extra 20% off, plus you can stack code MONDAY for an extra $10 off $50+, plus all orders of $25+ ship for free (or choose free store pickup).

Macy’s is also doing free shipping on $25+, plus you can use coupon code CYBER for an extra 20% off almost everything.

If JC Penney is more your thing, coupon code SHOPNOW8 is taking 35% off $100+ or 25% off, otherwise.

Bealls has their deals out, plus coupon code CYBER30 will save you an additional 30% and give you free shipping on $25+.

That should keep you busy for a while….

Maybe just keep these windows open

I cannot possibly catalog all of the deal goodness happening today in the Amazon Gold Box, so I’m not even going to try. I do like how for Black Friday they had only 2 out of 3 sizes of the Instant Pot on special, and today they went ahead and put the 6-quart Plus model on special, instead. Sneaky! But you know the drill: check out the Daily Deals, yes, but it’s the Lightning Deals where a lot of the magic will be happening.

Meanwhile, I’m still a little bitter that Woot isn’t Wooting Off in all categories, but that’s okay, because they’ve got rotating deals in the Holiday.Woot section, as well as rotating deals over in Wine.Woot and a coupon for additional savings on most stuff available at Shirt.Woot.

These are the two sites I’ll be watching all day, but I’m not telling you what to do.

All flavors of entertainment, discounted

Looking for a few stocking stuffers, or gifts for someone particularly hard to buy for? Look no further than FYE, where they’ve got everything from movies to games to all the merchandise that goes with ’em. And today they’re offering an additional 25% off just about everything, plus free standard shipping—just use coupon code NOV17CM to get the savings.

So… favorite new movie or album? They’ve got that. Funko Pops for the kids? Those, too. T-shirts with all your favorite pop culture characters? Check! Those retro gaming consoles that take me back to my misspent youth and high scores on Space Invaders? Yeah, listen, you’re just going to have to go browse for yourself. I cannot possibly tell you about everything they have going on over there.

Goooood Cyber Monday morning!

Good morning! Ready to hit up all the deals today?

Let’s kick it off with Target—today they’re taking an additional 15% off everything you buy with them, even the stuff already on sale.

So, for example, let’s say you want an Amazon Fire Stick. It’s marked down to $25 at Amazon and it’s also just $25 at Target… but you’ll save another 15% at Target, too. Just sayin’. And don’t forget that right now they’ve got free shipping and free returns on everything.

There’s obviously tons of deals to be had there. Happy hunting!

Heads up, Harry Potter fans!

If you love all things Harry Potter… well, please come sit by me. But you also may be interested to know that you not only want the following books, these prices make it an easy decision:

Harry Potter: A Journey Through a History of Magic just hit an all-time low price of $6.70 at Amazon, which is pretty impressive considering that it just came out last month.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them just dropped to its lowest price yet of $15.74, and it’s only been out for a few weeks!

And finally, if you’re looking forward to A Magical Yearbook: A Cinematic Journey: Imagine, Draw, Create (J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World), it’s currently at a guaranteed pre-order price of $8.60 (that’s 34% off list price, and if it goes any lower, you’ll get the lowest price). That’s a lot of supplemental Harry Potter love for your home (or gifting) library, and I am here for it.

And equal time for my other kid…

… because when I complained that I was running out of things to post (mostly because I’m tired, not because there’s a shortage of deals, today), my daughter rattled off several of her favorite stores and pointed out I hadn’t linked them, yet. Excuse me! Do you have a teenage or young adult girlchild, or are you more fashionable than I am (not that that’s hard)? You may like the following:

Today at American Eagle, just about everything is 40% off and ships for free, plus at Aerie they’re doing all undies at 10 for $35.

Over at Forever 21, you can use coupon code EXTRA30 for an additional 30% off most sale items, although everything is marked down (some of it up to 80% off), already. Shipping is free.

The physical stores seem to be closing all around us, but online at Aeropostale, everything is 60-70% off, though you’ll pay shipping if your order is under $50.

And finally, everything at Charlotte Russe is $20 or less, right now, and everything ships for free.

There you go—every possible source of crop tops and ripped jeans you could need.
