Nook your books, for less
Been on the lookout for a great deal on a Nook Color? Buy.com has refurbs in stock for just $139.
Me, I’m perfectly happy with my black-and-white Kindle. But my youngest has a Nook and deeply appreciates being able to read his books or play Angry Birds. Heh.
Anti-vampire lighting
You know that the writing over at Woot always delights me, but today I am still chuckling over their description on Home.Woot for a 4-pack of darkness-sensing CFL bulbs.
I don’t know about the whole vampire thing, but if you wanted energy-efficient lights that automatically go on when it gets dark, this seems like a decent deal. And if you have vampires around, well, I’m guessing it’s an even better deal.
A few deals to keep you busy
Due to unforeseen circumstances, I’m going to be away from the computer for most of today, looks like. Here’s a few deals to keep you busy while I’m gone:
There’s goodness aplenty in today’s Target Daily Deals; whether you want a half-price Sonicare toothbrush or want to peruse the entire inventory of Home Sale items (pick one to get free shipping and an extra 10% off—this includes deeply discounted patio furniture), there’s a deal there for you today.
You know Wednesday means Kohls, and today you can use coupon code SMS7873 for an extra 20% off any order. Redeem your Kohls Cash, and enjoy free shipping on your $75+ order, automatically.
This one’s a little convoluted, but bear with me: If your kids love those Clif Kids fruit ropes, go take a look at this 18-pack of strawberry ropes, here. If you click on “12 new from $8.41” in the right-hand column of More Buying Choices, you can scroll down and locate an offer of $8.41 from Amazon Warehouse, and that’s eligible for Prime or Super Saver Shipping, too. (It’s a great deal, so I suspect it’ll sell out quickly. Congrats to those of you who manage to nab it!)
There’s a huge outerwear blowout going on right now at Lands’ End, and you can use coupon code FREEZE and PIN 1710 for free shipping on any order.
I’ll get back here as soon as I can, but don’t you dare pay full retail for anything in the meantime.
Children’s Place will suck you back in
Listen, I am trying not to post deals from them every darn day, but lately they’ve just been extremely generous with the discounts, and what can I say—you know I’m a sucker for those good deals.
So. Today—Wednesday, January 25th—if you shop Children’s Place you’ll get a double bonus. First, all orders are shipping for free today (woo!), automatically. Second, today only you can use either coupon code T9F2012 or U9F2012 for an additional 25% off your order.
Really, at this point, all that’s left is for them to just give the clothes away.
If you’re a Clinique gal
Today Clinique is offering free shipping on every your $50+ order, no code necessary. (The offer changed, sorry for the confusion!) Don’t forget you can get free samples with every order, and right now they’re offering a free Mini Super City Block (SPF 40!) with any $30+ order when you use coupon code SUPER, too.
I’m not a Clinique user, myself, but I have friends who swear by their products. If you’re buying it anyway, may as well save yourself the shipping!
An offer you can’t refuse
Well, technically I guess you could refuse, but if you’re looking for a great deal on the Godfather movies, you’re not going to want to. Right now Amazon has the The Godfather Collection on Blu-ray available for just $35 shipped—its lowest price ever.
You get all three Godfather movies, plus a slew of bonus “featurettes.” Plus, you know, Brando, Pacino… these are classics. (Plus, if you have teenagers in your house, there’s nothing like a little Godfather action to remind you that things could be worse.)
Mix and match the zany
They’re having another “Zany Sale” over at LittleMissMatched, with prices slashed up to 70% off. Plus, you should take a look at all of the crazy offers they have running right now, too.
Like… they’re having a sweepstakes where you could win the first ever LittleMissMatched bicycle. Pretty cool, right? And then they have new dolls with tiny LMM clothing, too, and those are adorable.
Personally, though, I prefer this offer—which is 100% real: If you purchase 3,333 socks from them (at a cost of $15k), they’ll give you a free Fiat. That’s right, if you have a lot of feet to outfit, they’ll just throw in a polka-dotted car. I can’t stop laughing.
Grab your Kindle, Downton Abbey fans
Jennie Walters’ Swallowcliff Hall trilogy of books is being called “Downton Abbey from the servants’ perspective,” and you can snag all three books in their Kindle versions on Amazon today for a special price: Polly’s Story, Grace’s Story, and Isobel’s Story are all just $2.99 apiece.
I have not yet been sucked into Downton Abbey—though I hear it’s fantastic—because I already watch too much television as it is. I may just snag these books, instead.
It’s T time!
Starting today you can save up to 75% on the clearance happening over at Threadless. Hooray!
I have created a couple of monsters at my house, by the way. Ever since I bought my kids their first Threadless t-shirts, now they don’t want anything else. Good thing they have these sales.
(And if a couple of shirts for me happen to fall into my cart… well… Mama’s gotta get dressed, too. I am particularly fond of my Seuss Army Knife sweatshirt. Hee.)
A little something for you?
It looks like they did a new round of price reductions this weekend at Last Call, bringing their “are you kidding me with that price?” prices solidly down into the “I’d only have to sell one kid to afford that” range.
Kidding! I would never sell my children. (I doubt anyone would pay me anything for them.) Also, if you’re willing to dig, some of the prices in the clearance section are actually quite good.
To top it off, coupon code FSANN3 will give you free shipping on any order, just in case you need that extra justification. You’re welcome.
