Pants for him (and other stuff, too)

(In case you’re wondering, yes, I do have about 50 browser tabs open right now…. I keep thinking I’ve found everything I meant to look for and then I think of something else.)

The following stores carry both men’s and women’s clothing, I just happen to frequent them mostly for the guys, and mostly for pants. But they’ve got all kinds of stuff, including gear.

For the first time I can remember, Eddie Bauer is not only offering 50% nearly everything today with coupon code DEALS, they’re giving you free shipping on every order.

I just nabbed some dress pants for a song for my skinny teen over at Dockers, where code BLACKFRIDAY takes an additional 40% off even clearance items.

At Levi’s, they’re doing “Indigo Friday” (get it??) with an additional 40% off everything with code INDIGO40, plus free shipping on all orders.

There, now I can close 3 tabs….

Looking for LEGO?

There were many, many years when a Christmas without LEGO would’ve been unthinkable in our house. Truth be told, I kind of miss it. (I don’t miss stepping on pieces, though. Just the excitement part.)

I’ve got a couple of LEGO deal options for you today: First, there’s all kinds of deals on LEGO happening today at Toys ‘R’ Us online (meaning you don’t have to go to the store on Black Friday, praise the heavens above), and it looks like in addition to free shipping on $29+ there, all LEGO construction sets are shipping for free.

However, you may be able to do even better than those deals—it turns out that Toys ‘R’ Us is also a Rakuten seller, and although they’re offering the same prices over there, Rakuten also has coupon code BF20 for an additional 20% off there, today. The one catch is that I can’t seem to figure out what gets you free shipping on the Rakuten sets. Some of the pricier ones seem to ship for free, sometimes putting three in your cart gets you free shipping… it’s hard to tell, is all. So look around at both sites and see where you can get the better deal.

Also, may I then suggest a pair of slipper with a study sole? You’ll thank me later.

Don’t forget the socks!

Everyone finds some awesome socks either in the stockings or under the tree on Christmas morning, right? It’s not just my family?

Black Friday is happening at Happy Socks right now, and that means 40% off and free shipping. These are pricier than Big Box Store socks, yes, but (in my experience) better made, plus they come in a never-ending assortment of unique designs. With a deal like this, I can justify a few pairs just to help Santa out.

Bonus: It’s not just socks! they have super cute undies, too.

Department store deals roundup

Do the department stores have deals today? (Are you new here?) There’s doorbusters, coupons, and all kinds of goodies at just about all of them. Here’s a sampling of some of the deals you won’t want to miss:

Of course it’s all been on sale at Kohls all week, but in case you somehow missed it, they’ve got the usual suspects: doorbusters, 15% off, and $15 Kohls Cash for every $50 you spend. Best deals: A variety of small kitchen electrics practically free after rebate.

Over at Macy’s they’ve got a 20% off coupon plus a ton of doorbusters. Best deals: Need new sheets? They’ve got tons of discounted sheet sets.

There’s tons of doorbusters at Bon-Ton, plus coupons on the site for $60 off your $100+ coat purchase and free shipping on $25+. Best deals: If you don’t want to have to muck around with rebates, they’ve got a bunch of small kitchen electrics priced at $10, no rebate necessariy.

If you love Dillard’s, they’re doing bonus beauty buys, 40% off Christmas decor, and more. Best deals: Their Clearance items just went to an additional 50% off.

You know there’s tons of goodies to be had over at Target, and between the doorbusters and the “spend $50, get a 20% off coupon to use later” promotion, you probably don’t need any help shopping there. Best deals: Oh lord, I don’t know. Everything? Maybe this Hidden Figures DVD for $4 because it’s an amazing movie and would make a great stocking stuffer.

That should keep you busy for a bit. I’ll keep looking!

Time to get your awesome Ts

Love novelty t-shirts? Black Friday has arrived at all our favorite places!

Right now you’ll get 50% off at BustedTees using coupon code BF2017, until 3:00 p.m. today (at which point the discount drops to 40% off).

Over at Threadless, all t-shirts are $12 today, and you’ll get 40% off everything else, too!

There’s a Woot-Off happening that includes Shirt.Woot, which means there’s a new shirt every 1-30 minutes depending on how popular it is. You’ll pay $5 to ship, but once you’ve paid it once, that ships however many Woot orders you place through Cyber Monday.

Obviously they have tons more than just shirts over at Society6, but the shirts (and everything else) are 25% off today with coupon code BLACKFRIDAY.

Keep your eye on the Gold Box (spoiler: Instant Pots)

It wouldn’t be a big deal day without all of the deals in the Amazon Gold Box, and the Lightning Deals are flying fast and furious in there, too.

But perhaps the best news is that when I asked what everyone was looking for this shopping season and a ton of you said you wanted Instant Pot deals. Ask and ye shall receive! Today at Amazon the Gold Box holds lowest-price-ever deals on both the 8-quart Instant Pot (down to $82, plus I’m seeing a Warehouse Deals option with damaged packaging for just $70!) and the 3-quart Instant Pot (down to $49).

Alternatively, if you—like me—are still on Team Slow Cooker, check out this 6-quart Crock-Pot Express for the all-time-low price of $50.

And here’s a Lightning Deal tip, too, in case you didn’t already know: Amazon recently made it so that you can’t isolate just those flash deals in a browser, but you can still view just the Lightning Deals in the mobile app if that’s your preference.

Rocking it out with the Gap family of stores

Black Friday has hit the Gap stores, and I am thrilled—I have an Old Navy gift card I’ve been waiting to use. On the one hand, I love the shared basked across stores where the minimum shipping amount can be combined between brands. On the other hand, I hate that I have to get to a $50 minimum to get it. But today, it’s a $50 minimum not counting automatic savings, which means I’m not having any trouble getting to $25 and that sweet free shipping. Woo! Also, I bet you can gauge the relative fanciness of each label based upon how they’re doing Black Friday.

Alright, here’s the lowdown:

Everything is automatically 50% off at Old Navy. Magic!

On the other hand, at Gap you’ll have to apply coupon code BLKFRIDAY for your 50% off (whyyyyyyy, Gap?), but then you can also apply coupon code JUST4YOU for an additional 10% off. (Y’all, Gap’s just being difficult.)

Over at Banana Republic, the 50% off savings are automatic, but only on regular-price merchandise, because they’re Banana Republic.

And finally, at Athleta, you can use coupon code BLISS for just 20% off, which is not too bad when you consider they almost never have codes.

I’m spending my card and getting my kid some jeans, because I’m wild like that. But you do you.

Lands’ End does Black Friday right

Hooray for the best sale of the year at Lands’ End! Today only, take 50% off your entire order there with coupon code FRIDAY and PIN 2565. The discount does work on Sale/Clearance items, but be aware that it does not work on anything labeled “Buy More and Save.”

Shipping is free on your $50+ order, and don’t forget that you can always return items at your local Sears store. Y’know, just in case your order ends up being close to $50… just throwing that out there.

Gooood morning! Happy Black Friday!

Good morning, shoppers! I’m up, Duncan is fed (I am not allowed to do anything until His Highness has had his kibble), and I’m ready to scope out the deals.

First up: Free shipping is back at 6pm.com, and today only, you can use coupon code 10BLACKFRI for an additional 10% off their already ridiculously low prices.

It doesn’t look like they’re doing hourly $24 mystery deals today (sad trombone), but there is a crop of “Mystery Deals” you can click to reveal which are exceptionally low pricing.

Alright, let’s get this party started.

Conservatives, cover your eyes

You know how Facebook often serves you ads for things and you think “Why on earth has it decided I would like this?” Or maybe that’s just me. My point is: often the things that pop up on my screen hold no interest for me whatsoever.

But! Today I got an ad for sparkly pens that say SMASH THE PATRIARCHY on them. And this made me laugh. And so I found myself clicking through to Wildfang, and I realize this site is not for everyone, but it is absolutely full of fun feminist gifts and edgy clothing. Too bad I’m done shopping for my daughter, because she would probably like one of everything, there. Anyway, if your people are irreverent and passionate about women’s rights, this is your next stop for stocking stuffers. Trust me.

Their Black Friday Sale is already underway—25% off everything—and shipping is a flat $5 or free on $50+. If you’re feeling spendy, the clothes are also amazing (though still a little out of my price range). I may just have to settle for some pens and a “Wild Feminist” pennant, though.
