And now the laundry begins
We are home. Home home home home home! Yeah, I’m a little excited. (Related: I do not recommend the New York to Georgia drive in a single day with two kids and a dog. We all survived, but it was looking dicey there around about 10:00 when we were still in South Carolina.)
Anyway, now all I have to do is… wash everything in the world. That’ll be today’s task, and it will let my washing machine know how much I missed it.
If you will be doing a lot of laundry, maybe you’d like to check out this $2 Tide coupon on Amazon, which can be combined with Subscribe & Save on many items for the best savings. Just a suggestion.
Of course, if you really love doing laundry, feel free to come on over here and help me.
Welcome to 2012!
Well, the new year has arrived. I, for one, feel completely different. But that may have something to do with being trapped in a car all day today for the 900 mile journey back to Georgia. Who knows?
To celebrate the new year, 6pm.com is offering an assortment of items for—you guessed it—$20.12, today. Worth a browse, for sure.
Of course, if you’re stuck in a car like I am, maybe pop a Dramamine, first.
On a bicycle built for two
Happy new year! I hope no one is reading this, and you’re all out partying. (We are enjoying the last day of our vacation trip, plus celebrating both my son’s and my father’s upcoming birthdays; I am currently taking a break between kids-going-to-bed and second-round-of-wine.)
I’m absolutely in love with this Winther Mini Viking Pushbike for Two that’s currently down to just $35 shipped from Amazon (from seller Colossal Sales, as Amazon’s direct price is still $97). Such a cool little ride-on for siblings or friends, and clearly built like a tank.
Maybe it’s not an appropriate deal for New Year’s Eve, or maybe it is—maybe in 2012 you resolve to foster togetherness! In which case, there you go.
Playtime for kitties
Personally, I’ve always felt that dogs are pets and cats are hairy furniture, but I know many people feel differently. Ow. Stop throwing things at me.
Anyway, if you’re into cats, perhaps you’d like 20 cat toys for $6 shipped from Amazon, because that’s a lot of toys for not very many dollars.
Now, if Amazon comes up with a grab bag of 20 kitties for my dog, that‘d really be something.
Coffee and a movie
Hey, did you miss me this morning? I’ve been busy continuing on in our fine family tradition of having multiple health crises while away on “vacation.” So I really wanted to be here scoping out the deals this morning, but taking my kid to the ER won out. (She’s fine. Anyone want some strep? We have plenty.)
Anyway, now that we’re back and loaded up with antibiotics and juice, I’m looking around for things I’d rather be doing. Like going to Starbucks and a movie! Today you can grab a $20 Starbucks gift card and two movie tickets through Fandango at Plum District for just $28. So it’s not a huge savings, but if you’re going to the movies and Starbucks anyway, for me it’s basically a free ticket-and-change at the movies.
And it’s a much better bargain than strep throat.
‘Tis the season (for the sniffles)
If you need to stock up on tissues—and who doesn’t, right now?—take a look at this 6-pack of Puffs Family Boxes at Amazon. It’s just $7.75 shipped when you buy via Subscribe & Save (cancel any time to prevent redelivery).
I’m pretty sure that in amongst the presents we’ve already packed up several months worth of germs while visiting family. I think I’ll go order those tissues right now.
Last day to cozy up to Eddie, too
Not to be outdone, today is the last day of the so-called Biggest Sale of the Year over at Eddie Bauer, too. No coupons or free shipping, unfortunately, Use coupon code BAUER1210 for an additional 15% off their low prices (thanks, Golden!), and maybe you got a gift card for the holidays, or something.
Buy me a sweater while you’re there, okay? I’m still cold.
Winter’s End at Lands’ End
Personally—particularly as we’re up north right now, where (it must be said) the thermostat seems to be set to “bitter cold”—I don’t believe Winter’s End is coming any time soon, but hey, if Lands’ End wants to have a sale, I’m certainly not going to discourage them.
Plus, I could use a sweater. Or twelve. (Seriously, how do you live in this climate? I’m freezing.)
Ship any order for free with coupon code NEWYEAR and PIN 5878. But hurry—the coupon expires at midnight tonight!
I keep getting sucked in
It looks like once again there’s a 10% off coupon code for 6pm.com. Today (Wednesday, December 28th, 2011) only, use code 6PMRMN122811SAM for an extra 10% off your order.
I almost got through an entire day without looking over there. Almost.
So very Vera
The Winter Sale is on over at Vera Bradley, with savings of up to 40% on select styles and colors.
Shipping is automatically free on your $100+ order, too, so it’s a perfect time to justify getting just more than that one bag you’ve had your eye on. (Um, for gifts, I mean. Obviously.)
I was paging through just now and marveling at how their offerings have expanded over the years. Now you can get the bag and the matching glasses and a watch and a plate and sticky notes and and and and…! I think that might be overkill, but to each their own….
