The Body Shop Black Friday + Mistletote
Savvy shopper and Want Not regular Theresa shot me a note to let me know that the Black Friday specials are already live at The Body Shop, and you can spend a little and save a ton.
First of all, they’re having 3 products for $30, which is already up to about half off depending on what you choose. Second, once you spend that $30, you’re eligible to buy their “Mistletote” for just $25, even though it’s loaded with $120 worth of products! Third, coupon code joy10 saves you another 10%, and stackable coupon freejoy gives you free shipping.
That’s potentially $180 worth of yummy products shipped to your door for about $50. Very merry, indeed. (Thanks for the heads up, Theresa!)
Get a MacBook Air for a Black Friday price
Oooohh… I should be helping with dishes, but first I had to come tell you about this one: Amazon has the latest version 11.6″ MacBook Air available for just $850 shipped! My money says that’s cheaper than it’ll be at Apple tomorrow during their sale.
Even as a dedicated Mac person, I resisted buying an Air for a long time. I got mine last year (I have the previous version of this machine) and I have to say: I love it so much. I take it everywhere and it’s light and pretty and works just like my desktop at home.
Okay, I’ll stop gushing about my Mac, now. Thanksgiving dinner was pretty good, too.
Children’s Place Black Friday is live
Yet another retail establishment refuses to wait until tomorrow to get their savings on: Children’s Place is offering 30% off everything until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, plus free shipping on every order, when you use coupon code TURKEY.
This is the sale I use to pick up things like hats and gloves. Skipping the shipping and getting the extra savings means I don’t have to beat myself up about having forgotten them, earlier. Heh.
Totally Fab
There are some great deals on kid toys today at Fab.com—makes me wish mine were still little!
(Rolls are on their second rise, now. But I have to start peeling potatoes soon. Apparently we’re having an all-starch Thanksgiving….)
It’s already Black Friday at OfficeMax
If you’re taking a break from meal prep (like me; I’m waiting for my rolls to rise!), you may be delighted to know that Black Friday has come early to OfficeMax—you can snag their deals online right now.
They include cheap printers, laptops (a Toshiba Satellite for under $300!), and more… definitely worth checking out if you’re in the market for some new tech this year.
(I’m so glad I had to wait for my dough.)
40% off and free shipping? I’m thankful!
If you need a little Black Friday warm-up, you can find it over at American Eagle; today and tomorrow everything ships for free automatically, and coupon code 72429831 takes an additional 40% off your order (works at Aerie and 77 Kids, too)!
Heck, at this rate, there may not be any shopping left to do on Friday. (Hahaha! Just kidding. Relax.)
Possibly Skylanders are Pokemon on steroids
Listen, I’ll be the first one to admit that I am possible too 1) old, 2) unhip, and/or 3) dumb to entirely understand what, exactly, this whole Skylanders game (warning: site has sound) is about, but I do know that my kids are talking about it like it comes covered in chocolate and laced with cocaine. It’s sort of like all the things my son loves about Pokemon and the Lego Wii games all wrapped up in a new game that works with Super Special Action Figures. (Man, this company has got my kid’s number.)
Anyway, the list price is evidently $70 for the game bundle and $10 for each extra figure. But right now Amazon is running a Skylanders Promotion where you can get the bundle for $50 and 2 more figures for $10. I’m not sure we’ll see a better deal than that before Christmas, though anything’s possible.
My husband just suggested we get it for the kids along with a weatherproof casing for the Wii so they’d be forced to play with it outside. Hee.
Zelda or Just Dance with gift card bonuses
Oooooh, here’s a nice little pre-Black-Friday bonus for you: Today’s Deals of the Day at Best Buy (scroll down to “video game deals”) include the option to grab either Just Dance 3 (Katy Perry version!) or The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword with a free bonus $10 gift card. Shipping is currently free, and their prices match Amazon’s ($30 for Just Dance and $50 for Zelda), so if you have more shopping to do at Best Buy—or would like the free card for a stocking stuffer—this may be the way to buy.
I am sorely temped by Just Dance 3, as there is truly no better future blackmail material than one of these games and a video camera. Heh.
Happy Kohlsgiving!
Sure, tomorrow is Thanksgiving, but today—inbetween baking pies, and telling the kids that if they don’t stop complaining you’ll give them something to complain about (okay, that last bit may just be me)—the deals are already starting at Kohls. You’ve earned Kohls Cash before, but right now you’ll earn $15 Kohls Cash (instead of the usual $10) for every $50 spent.
Shipping is free on your $50+ order, and everyone should be able to use coupon code GOBBLE15 for an extra 15% off. [Edited to add: Looks like everyone may be able to use NOVFB20 for 20% off, instead, actually. Woo!]
There will be additional sales prices going into effect tomorrow and Friday, yes. But this is a good way to get some necessary shopping done before the rush, and I’ve found Kohls to be excellent about price adjustments and/or taking back duplicate orders if you reorder something to get it cheaper. So take that as you will.
A Bath and Body goody for the nightowls
Hanging around at this time of night? I’d love to offer you a cookie, but I’m fresh out. How about this, instead:
Through midnight, Bath and Body Works is offering a Buy 1, Get 1 Free deal on their Signature bath items. But you can actually apply coupon code F115065 on top of that for a free item when you buy 1, which effectively makes both items free. Pay only shipping, which should be $5.99 for two full-size items.
I love their body cream, which I am forever buying for my gift closet and then… stealing to use myself. (Hey, they brought back White Tea and Ginger, which is just yummy. Don’t judge me. At $3/apiece I’m not even going to feel guilty.)
