Woot up your Tuesday
More reasons to love Olay
Here’s a tip from my stepmom (thank you!) that I wanted to pass along: Through September 16th, spend $50 on Olay products and get $20 back! (Download the rebate form, fill out, attach receipts, and send.) That’d be a nice add-on to some of the Olay deals I posted a couple of weeks ago.
Possibly even better, right now the Olay Professional Pro-X Clear Acne Protocol is available at Amazon for $30.66—already cheaper than I see it anywhere else—and it drops to just $26.06 if you buy via Subscribe & Save, plus I see a $1 coupon to clip on the page. So you get it for $25, and then there’s an available $15 rebate on just that (download here). For that one you have until the end of October, too, so plenty of time.
Decorate for even less
You know I’m already a huge fan of Home Decorators Collection for finding cute home accessories on the cheap, but for the next few days, shopping them is even more inviting—through September 15th, save $20 on your $100+ order, automatically. There’s also an offer running for 20% off all seating, cabinets and tables, though it’s not clear to me if those two combine (I don’t think they do).
Check out the Outlet for the best deals, of course, and note that many items ship for free. That includes several Martha Stewart Living patio sets I’m eyeing.
Some of my favorite things came from HDC, no lie. I always have to hold myself back when they have one of these sales. Because really, there’s only so many pieces of accent furniture a person needs. I suppose.
One more time
Why not start off the week with yet another free shipping day at Children’s Place? There’s probably something you forgot to grab last time, after all.
Coupon code Y7E2011 saves you an additional 15%, too.
The clearance is pretty well cleaned out, by now, but maybe you want to get a jump on the new arrivals. Though I find the clothing there odd and alien. Long sleeves? Long pants? I have a vague recollection of being able to wear these odd garments, but it seems so unfamiliar….
Surprise Saturday at Banana Republic
Surprise! Today Banana Republic is offering 30% off with coupon code BRSATURDAY.
Some restrictions apply, but it appears to work on sale items, so there are definitely deals to be had.
Unrelated: I’ve been having some site issues, lately, and apologize for the intermittent downtime. Apparently my server is very appealing to hackers in Czechoslovakia. Yep, I’m just that cool.
The Magic Eraser deal is back
If you missed this the last time it came around—or if you’ve used up the ones you already bought—you can scoop up a deal on a 8-pack of Mr. Clean Magic Erasers at Amazon right now. The $9.00 price drops to $7.65 when you buy via Subscribe & Save, plus there’s a $.50 coupon to clip, so the end result is $7.15, delivered to your door.
I do love me some Magic Erasers. Now I don’t even have to ask what’s on the wall, I just clean it up. (C’mon. If you have kids, you know what I’m saying.)
It’s an Eddie pants bonus
It’s true that I’m still mourning the apparent end of the Amazon Friday Sale—where did it go? Is it ever coming back?—but, much like that little toaster from the movie, I am bravely soldiering onward without my weekly dose of deals on coffee and baby food. Or something.
Hey, if you need some pants over at Eddie Bauer, though, now’s a good time to shop; through the weekend, by any pair of pants, and you can use coupon code FALL25 to save 25% and get free shipping (savings applies to your entire order).
It works on sale and clearance items, too, so you can pick up some cheap pants and then enjoy the savings on everything else, too. Sweet!
I mean, it’s no five pages of T-discs and K-cups, or anything, but still not a bad way to start your Friday.
If you have Rue La La credit to use…
… make sure you take a peek at the available boutiques over there, today. They’re doing a “Final Sale” in two acts (two separate boutiques; one yesterday, one today), and what it means is a whole bunch of leftovers marked way down.
So what that really means for you is that they may not have your size or the color you want in stock, but if they do, the price will be amazing. I saw a couple of things that were close to 90% off.
It’s kind of like playing bargain roulette, except that if you don’t find something good, nobody gets shot. Wait. Okay, I take it back; it’s nothing like roulette. It’s, uh, just a really good sale. With no guns at all.
Stop looking at me.
Movie night doesn’t get any cheaper than this
Have a local Blockbuster Express? Sure, $1 for a DVD rental is pretty cheap, but this is Want Not. We can do better than that. Hop on over to Groupon, today and snag 5 1-night rentals for just $2 (saving $3), because you are just that smart.
(Also? Pretty. Don’t forget pretty.)
Use the money you saved to spring for the big box of Sour Patch Kids! Oh, wait. Maybe that’s just me.
Get a jump on the toy sales
It’s not surprising that Amazon’s having an End-of-Summer Toy Sale Event, of course, but I’m pleasantly surprised to see that it’s not all water pistols and slip-n-slides, either.
Even better, did there used to be toy coupons at the bottom of that page? Because I don’t remember seeing them before, and there are some great discounts to be had, there. Like, check out Scrabble Alphabet Scoop, which is already a deal at under $20, but now has an available $5 off coupon, as well! That makes it half the price of any of the other offering buying choices. Sweet.
Of course, we know that December is when the crazy toy deals really start rolling out at Amazon. Consider this a little warm-up.
