Clearance savings at Meijer

I’m one of those chumps who’s scouting for a new patio set right now from the dregs of the seasonal clearance, so great is my hope that I won’t need to spend a bundle next Spring to find what I want. So I was delighted to see that today Meijer‘s launched their end-of-season event, which includes deep discounts and free shipping on several patio sets.

Sure, there’s other stuff, too, but I’m thinking the $900 patio set for $350 shipped may be the best deal I find. (Um, if you don’t count the “team” garden gnomes which are half off. Because those are hilarious.)

Happy birthday, Old Navy!

Did you know that Old Navy has been online for 11 years? That’s a long time. I feel like they’re my baby, about to head off to middle school and learn how to make spitballs.

Whether or not it means that, it does mean that today only, you can use coupon code ONBDAY25 for 25% off your order. That excludes Everyday Steals and a few other things, but it works on sale items, which means you can stack up some real savings.

And that’s way better than a goodie bag full of novelty pencils, right?

One more day to be hip and thrify

They had a big sale for the holiday weekend, but Threadless didn’t want the fun to end—they’ve extended the sale one more day.

That means you have another 24 hours to scoop up $10 t-shirts with awesome designs and goofy sayings on them. At this point, my kids wear Threadless shirts almost exclusively. I love how there’s a shirt for every personality; right now my son mostly favors his “I bought this shirt and all I got was this shirt” one, while my daughter has been wearing her, “Forget a fountain of youth; what the world needs is a fountain of SMART” one. Spend $75+ and your order will ship for free, too.

Also, I love how they keep adding more non-shirt products. I’m saving up my pennies for one of those umbrellas. Love.

Today’s a good day to be a Tommy girl

Today (Wednesday, September 7th) only, you can save an additional 30% on your order at Tommy Hilfiger with coupon code LOZO30. Shipping is a flat $7.95 on all orders, or free if you order $150+.

Tommy’s regular prices make me gasp and grab the wall, and not in a good way. But you can use this code even on items already on sale, and so between existing discounts and this extra bump, I can see quite a few items that come down into the reasonable range. (And there are some cute things in the accessories section, by the way.)

Also, I’m totally tight with the Hilfigers. If by “totally tight” I mean that his first wife used to babysit for me and my brother back in the 1970s, and I do. (True story!)

Are you ready for… Advent?

Big thanks going out to Want Not regular—if slightly mysterious—reader M, who pointed out this morning that the Star Wars Lego Advent Calendars are back in stock at Amazon. Do note that these aren’t exactly on sale, but these will be impossible to find as we get closer to Christmas, so if you missed it last time and want one without having to trade a kidney on eBay, get moving.

Alternatively, they also have the Lego City Advent Calendar in stock for $5 less. You don’t get Yoda in a Santa suit in that one, though.

And no, before I had kids the idea of dropping $35 or $40 on an Advent calendar filled with sharp tiny pieces I would later step on had never occurred to me as a viable scenario. I’m ashamed. A little. But you haven’t seen my kid’s dimples—they defy logic and common sense. It’s not my fault!

Another month, another Kitchens of India deal

Oh, Amazon. How you woo me with your deals on Kitchens of India products! It’s not like they’re all that expensive to begin with, and then you offer me an extra 35% off when I combine coupon code KITCHNOI with buying via Subscribe & Save, resulting in such wonders as ready-to-eat meals for under $2 each and all the butter curry chicken paste I could ever need.

Wait. Was I complaining about this? Nevermind. I’m good (if a little hungry).

And a little post-holiday Lands’ End

Feeling that back-to-the-daily-grind letdown? I bet we can fix that with a sale over at Lands’ End! (I typoed that, originally, to “a salt at Lands’ End,” which is entirely different, and probably only good if you’re a deer.)

Anyway! Go shop, and then choose your code: Code BETTER11 with PIN 8515 gives you both free shipping and an additional $10 off your $50+ order, while code CLASSICS3 with PIN 9201 gives you free shipping and an additional $20 off your $100+ order.

I may have shopped this last sale already and should probably not be looking. Which means I’m probably not looking. Maybe.

Did you remember to Get More?

This is just your friendly quarterly reminder—if you have a Discover Card, make sure you remember to register for next quarter’s Get More promotion!

From October through the end of the year, you’ll qualify for 5% cashback on up to $300 in purchases on clothing, restaurants, and department stores.

It’s not a lot, I know, but if you use your Discover Card regularly (I do!), it’s a quick sign-up and free money in your pocket. And free money = more pretty shoes. I’m pretty sure that’s in the Bible somewhere.

Crocs got all fancy when I wasn’t looking

Apparently just surfing the Crocs site online hasn’t exactly been keeping me in the loop. Check out today’s 6pm.com spotlight on $25-and-under Crocs—there’s a whole bunch of styles there I’ve never even seen before!

And—now, don’t quote me on this, because you know how I feel about plastic shoes—some of them are… okay… they’re kind of cute, really. I know.

Now might be a good time to stock up for next summer, is all I’m saying. For your kids, of course. Or maybe you, too. I promise to try really hard not to judge.
