Get your running shoes on
I have to point you over to Joe’s New Balance Outlet this morning, for a couple of reasons. First, everything ships for free today. (I mean, I guess it did all weekend, but I just now noticed. Sorry about that!)
Second, their Daily Deal today is the Walking 850 shoe for just $29.99. Now, granted, it’s only on sale in the black, but I own these shoes and they are the most comfortable walking sneakers I’ve ever had. Plus they’re super-lightweight, and the mesh means my feet don’t overheat in ’em, even in the Georgia sun. I think thirty bucks shipped for those is a great price.
Of course, there’s a ton of other shoes in the “final markdowns” area that are $30 or less, too. Decisions, decisions….
Family Fun, fantastically cheap
One of my favorite magazines, Family Fun, is available at Eversave today! Just $5 for one year or $10 for two years. (You may see it in the sidebar for your location, or switch to “Online” as your location to find it.)
This is the one kid-oriented magazine I continue to get, even though my kids are now quite a bit older. I like their recipes and find it to generally have a good assortment of ideas and articles. And for five bucks, it’s a no-brainer.
Clearance is my middle name
You know I can’t resist a sale at Amazon, and when it’s a big clearance event, well, I’m on it. Check out their giant Labor Day Clothing Clearance going on right now—prices go all the way to 75% off, and there are some sweet deals to be had.
They’ve got an extra 25% coming off of select sale shoes going on, too. So you can complete the outfit.
That’s what Labor Day is for, right? Big sales? Hey, where are you going…?
Dining savings, early in the month
The way it usually goes with Restaurant.com is that the big coupon codes don’t happen until the end of the month. And really, most of the time that’s fine, but I’ve noticed that some of the restaurants work on quotas, which means they’re all sold out before you reach that 80% off coupon.
But this is your lucky day, because right now you can use coupon code RDCSALE to save 80% on your purchase, before certificates sell out for the month! That means you can snag $25 worth of dining for just a cool $2, which you probably have sitting in your dryer in change right now. (I’ll raise you a couple of hard candy wrappers, too, but I don’t think Restaurant.com accepts those as payment.) Do your shopping now, dine later, and enjoy the savings.
Labor Day hits Calvin Klein
I’m a fool for Calvin Klein. And not even just because they tend towards vanity sizing. Heh.
I just like their stuff. And I like that I can get designer quality that doesn’t necessarily cost an arm and a leg. (Read: I like that I can usually find their stuff at TJ Maxx.) Anyway! Today they’re taking 40% off everything on the site, automatically—even sale items. Heck, even final sale items. That means big savings.
It’s today only, so don’t miss out.
Today’s an a-Peeling day to shop Eversave
Remember the free $10 you nabbed to shop at Eversave a little while back? If you haven’t spent it yet, go check out today’s Saves—one of the “bonus Saves” in the sidebar is that $18 will get you $40 to spend at Peeled Snacks. If you have that $10 to spend, it’s only $8, plus today only you can apply coupon code LABORDAY for an additional $2 off. So we’re talking $6 for $40 to spend. (Pssst! If you can’t seem to find it? I’m seeing it as a Bonus Save for Atlanta.)
I absolutely love Peeled’s products—organic fruit snacks; what’s not to love?—but blanche at their prices. (Not saying it’s not worth it, just saying I’m cheap.) When there’s a deal like this, I snap it up. My kids get real fruit in their lunches even in the dead of winter, and I don’t have to take a second mortgage to do it. Total score.
Create a challenge on your Wii
I’m thinking that the Create game for the Wii—currently just $6.99 at Amazon—sounds like it’s right up my kids’ alley. Reviews are mixed; it sounds like people either love it or hate it (because they claim it’s too hard). But for $7, I’m willing to chance it.
That was a nice find on a Sunday morning.
A few deals to start your day
I hope you have exciting plans for this Labor Day weekend. Mine are terribly exciting. I just… can’t remember what they are. I think I’ll sit on the couch and watch some terrible television until I remember.
But! You might want to go shopping, and I live to serve.
This weekend Home Decorators Collection is offering free shipping on your $299+ order, and that includes items in the outlet. Some nice deals to be had, there.
Longtime Want Not friend Patti is also a Longaberger rep, and wrote in to let me know that there’s a 30% off Factory Store sale going on this weekend. If you love Longaberger, go pay her a visit.
I can’t quite imagine needing 150 Ziplocs, but if I did, I’d go buy this Ziploc 1-quart 50 bag 3-pack at Amazon, because it’s marked down to $11.56, then you save 15% when you buy via Subscribe & Save and another 10% with coupon code ZIPLOCMO. It comes out to just $8.67, or just under $.06/bag. Crazy.
Absolutely everything is an extra 25% off at Eddie Bauer this weekend. You know how I love Eddie.
Power Hours are currently going on at Kohls, and everyone gets free shipping on $75+. Also, everyone can save an additional 15% this weekend with coupon code THANKS2U. It’s Kohls Cash time, too, so you’ll earn $10 for every $50 you spend.
Not to be outdone, Macy’s has a giant sale going on as well, with an extra 10% or 15% off everything with coupon code FALL.
They’re having a $35 And Under event over at Loft, plus all sale items are an extra 40% off.
That should get you started. Have a wonderful Saturday!
