Saturday deals

Happy weekend! I hope you’re doing something awesome today, like putting the finishing touches on the cake you’ll be jumping out of tomorrow. (What? I think that would be an awesome Father’s Day gift….)

Here’s a few deals if you’re in a shopping mood:

Today’s Amazon Gold Box deal is the Toy Story Trilogy combo pack, with Blu-ray, DVD, and digital versions of all three movies. You can get the whole shebang today only for $45.

The Big Big Sale (seriously, they call it that) is on at Hanna Andersson, and you might have to hold me back… I’m seeing those adorable twirly dresses for $12 and up. (I love me some Hannas.)

$2.95 shipping is still going on at 6pm.com, today, and I’m seeing Crocs for kids on there for cheaper than you can get them at the Crocs outlet. (Among other things, of course.)

This weekend you can take 20% off any single item at Victoria’s Secret with coupon code 1HOTSUMMER. I’m a little disturbed by that being the code for, say, a sexy bra, but I’m willing to overlook that for the savings. Heh.

And don’t forget to restock your dining certificates from Restaurant.com—right now you can use coupon code DAD for 70% off, making $25 worth of dining cost just a cool $3 out of pocket. If you’re not interested in saving $22, I don’t even know you anymore.

It’s an excellent day

The sun is shining, the birds are singing, we’re back from camping and I had a real! shower!, and I have no complaints about today whatsoever. Grab some coffee and let’s see if I can make your day similarly awesome.

Not even the Amazon Friday Sale can damper my euphoria (no matter how much coffee they load it up with). If you have little ones, be sure to check out the Plum Organics and Gerber Graduates offerings, there—both are marked down but have additional coupons and Subscribe & Save available for added savings.

Have you checked out this month’s batch of 100 MP3 albums for just $5 yet? It’s a great way to beef up your music library on the cheap.

$2.95 shipping is back at 6pm.com fora limited time, and today they’re featuring hard-to-find sizes and widths along with deals on Clarks, Nike, and more.

I certainly wouldn’t recommend this one as an impulse purchase, savings or no, but if you’ve been looking for a patio set, check out today’s Big Steal at Meijer—it’s a nice-looking 7-piece aluminum table and padded chairs set for just $399 shipped (regularly $999).

The one-day sale is on at Macy’s, with an additional 25% taken off clearance and all kinds of online-only deals.

There’s an available half-price Groupon for Threadless, today—$10 gets you $20 to spend, though it’s not valid on sale items. This would be a good one to scoop up if there’s a shirt you’re dying to get and you don’t want to risk it selling out before the big sale.

Go forth and save, and enjoy your Friday.

Another Old Navy Groupon

Do not that this is for in-store use only, but you can snag $20 to spend at Old Navy for just $10 at Groupon, today.

This one also has a shorted expiration date; after July 30th it’s only worth $10, which means you wouldn’t lose any money if you hadn’t spent it by then, but you wouldn’t get the $10 savings, either.

So basically if you’re planning to hit the actual store in the next six weeks or so, this one’s for you.

There’s still time for Dad

(Apologies for the late start and what will likely be light posting, today—our campground had a “little storm” last night that knocked out power, and we’ll be on the road for most of the day now that we have packed up half the dirt and tree branches in Georgia along with our stuff.)

While we make our way home, don’t panic about not having found the perfect Father’s Day gift just yet. Amazon still has an impressive assortment of Father’s Day gifts with free 1-day shipping available, so you can still save the day. Plus they’re running a sweepstakes, and we all know the only thing better than cheap stuff is free stuff!

Of course, you’re probably so on top of things, you don’t need this sort of Hail Mary, but I’m just putting it out there. Just in case.

Use the Force at Williams-Sonoma

Whoa—take a look at the right-hand side of the main page at Williams-Sonoma today. They’re offering free shipping on over 500 items, and if you click there you’ll see that many of them are Star Wars themed goodies like cookie cutters or—about eight rows down on that first page—a half-price vintage Star Wars lunch tin with coordinating sandwich cutters.

I’m not saying these are necessarily ideal Father’s Day gifts, but I bet there’s a little boy in your life who would be pretty tickled if you used this opportunity to stock up.

Then again, maybe that special man in your life really has been wanting a Darth Vader spatula. I don’t judge.

Take care of your teeth, Sonicare style

If you’ve been waiting for a great deal on a fancy toothbrush, this may be your week. Right now drugstore.com is offering an additional $10 savings on the Sonicare Essence, bringing the price down to just $29.99 for this highly-rated model. (For comparison: it’s still $40 at Amazon.)

You only get one set of teeth to last you your whole life, you know, so you should treat ’em right. That doesn’t mean you should save an extra $10, though.

You know what Wednesday means

Yep, it’s the big one-day sale at Kohls. Hey, Kohls—I’m not sure that “one-day” means what you think it means, when you have the same sale every Wednesday, plus you have a bunch of other sales all the time, too, but whatever. I like Wednesdays with you, even if your understanding of adjective use is a little skewed.

Today’s your last day to use coupon code DADSDAY30 for 30% off your entire order when you pay with your Kohls card, plus stack code FREE4MVC for free shipping on any order. No Kohls card? Shipping is automatically free on $75+, plus you can use coupon code NEW6679 for an additional 10% off your order. And all of that is on top of today’s specials, natch.

It almost makes Wednesday not so bad, this sale.

Ship those silly socks for free

Free shipping is back at LittleMissMatched, but for a limited time only—you have through June 20th to apply code SHIP123 for free shipping on any order, big or small.

Their adorable flip-flops are currently just $5.99/pair. Love those. And did you know they have baby clothes? Check out the sale section for some incredible bargains on stuff so cute it’ll make your teeth hurt.

Aaaaack!

This is what happens when I go camping: They go and have a Woot-Off (and a Kids.Woot-Off) and I nearly miss it because I’m doing things like walking the dog and eating cheese with my husband. (What? We enjoy cheese, particularly when there are no children here to eat it all.)

I’m trying to be vigilant, here, but sometimes there are marshmallows to be toasted and naps to be taken. I hope the remaining few hours of Wooting bring you joy while I try to keep the dog from lunging at squirrels….

Food storage, half price and locked tight

Today you can snag a great $25 for $50 deal at Groupon on various and sundry storage items at Lock & Lock (warning: thanks to the Groupon, the site is running pretty slow right now).

True, if you do an everyday comparison of prices between their company site and the discounts at Amazon, it might not seem worth it. But Lock & Lock runs a couple of incredible sales each year, and the Groupon won’t expire for a year—buy it now and wait for one of those sales, and you could score big.

I shamelessly love the little Lock & Locks for packing lunches; those lids batten down every time and never get loosened no matter how much they’re jostled in backpacks.
