Fairy relaxing

Whoa. I’m usually not a big fan of character-branded stuff for kids, but I have to say that this Disney Fairies kid-sized recliner is pretty sweet… especially if you buy it direct from Amazon, where it’s just $45 shipped (look in the “more buying choices” column if it doesn’t default to Amazon as the seller).

Pretty sure that would extend your Mom Prime membership, too. Sweet.

Kohls Cares, on clearance

For some reason I’m having difficulty linking to this selection of items directly, but if you don’t mind a little direction, I’ve got a good deal for you. You know how Kohls periodically does specially-priced merchandise for their Kohls Cares fundraisers? Every now and then that stuff goes on sale.

Type dana buchman cares into the search box on Kohls and you’ll find an assortment of Dana Buchman merchandise licensed to Kohls for breast cancer funding/awareness, and it’s all on clearance right now. $4 sunglasses; $2 water bottles; jewelry, and more. It’s a nice way to stock up on good generic gift-y things, if you’re in the market.

Unfortunately, 20% off coupon code SECRET204U cannot be applied to Kohls Cares merchandise for further discount, but you can still use coupon code SHIP4FREE to ship any size order for free.

I can’t resist a cardigan, it’s true

Perhaps I was related to Mr. Rogers in another life, but I am a sucker for a cute cardigan. Through one over casual clothes to pull your outfit together! Bring one to pull on over your dress to stay warm and still be cute! They’re just terribly versatile. Or maybe I’m just kind of boring. Either way.

Anyway, I can’t help noticing that at the same time that Ann Taylor Loft has made their sale items an additional 50% off at the same time that they’ve moved a bunch of cute cardis to the sale area. Coincidence? Or a sign? I leave that to you to figure out.

Spend $100+ and you can use coupon code TEACHER20 for an additional 20% off your order. (Note: This will combine with the additional savings on sale items, but will cancel out any other promotions, like their current 40% off regular-price tops promo.) Free shipping on $125 (after coupons), too.

Happy cardiganing!

Science is cool (and cheap)

Take a look over at Kids.Woot today—they’re selling 3-packs of Thames & Kosmos “Little Labs” sets for just $13 + $5 shipping. It looks to me like this deal came about because the packaging has changed (Woot is, obviously, selling the old labeling). For example, here’s the Physics Set on Amazon, where it (and the other kits) will run you between $13-$15 apiece.

So $18 for three is sounding like a pretty great deal to me, plus the shipping stays the same no matter how many you buy, so go ahead and get one of each bundle—six kits, total—for just under $31, or just about the cost of two kits from Amazon.

I’d say get these for the gift closet, but you know I’ll love you a little more if they’re for your own budding geeks.

Cheap dinner could equal free entertainment

So, you know, I think it’s plenty rewarding that Restaurant.com routinely has 80% off coupons, yielding $25 of dining out just $2 out-of-pocket. It’s hard to argue with 92% off not being, I don’t know, enough.

But they just had to go and make it one better. Check it out: use coupon code BONUS for 80% off your order between now and the end of the month, and you’ll not only get those $25 dining certificates for just $2 apiece, you’ll also be entered to win one of ten Xbox 360® with Kinectâ„¢ systems they’ll be giving away! Crazy, right? One entry per certificate purchased, up to a max of 25 entries per person.

If that doesn’t give you the urge to dine out, nothing will.

Today’s a good day for tea-lovers to Rue La La

So, remember when I sent you to sign up for Rue La La so that you could get $20 of free credit? If you’re a tea geek, today may just be the day to go redeem your credit—they’ve got an entire section of Tea Forte offerings at a discount, many under $20.

Fancy teas are one of my favorite gifts to give, probably because it’s one of my favorite gifts to get, but the sort of thing I rarely spend the money on for myself. To be able to grab a fancy set on the cheap like this? Well, I might be tempted to just keep it for myself. Just sayin’.

Kohls on a Monday?

Whoa, Kohls is getting all wacky, today—it’s not even Wednesday, and they’re rolling out the savings.

Looks like today and tomorrow, everyone can use coupon code SECRET204U for an additional 20% off everything and code SHIP4FREE to get free shipping on any size order.

And if you have Kohls Cash left over from the last order period, you can redeem that through tomorrow, too. Play it right and you could be getting stuff for free, looks like! Every Monday should be like this….

Body Shop beautiful

Alert (and pretty!) reader Rebekah mailed me bright and early this morning to point out today’s Body Shop Groupon—spend $20, get either $40 or $45 towards any in-store Body Shop purchase. (If you spend it by May 30th, you get the higher amount.)

Now, you know how I feel about actually visiting a store in person. But for these kinds of savings, I may make an exception. I mean… the school year is nearly over… and nothing says “Thank you for wrangling my kid” like body butter. Heh.

Happy Easter from Children’s Place!

I hope y’all had a wonderful day, whether you celebrate the miracle of chocolate-covered peeps or not. (Oh hush. It is too a miracle.)

For you late-night Sunday shoppers or just early-morning Monday types, here’s a little something to add to the Easter festivities: Today and tomorrow, Children’s Place is offering free shipping on every order, automatically. Combine that with 15% off code A6D2011 and you’ll be stocking up on whatever the kids need at some very affordable prices.

Which leaves you all the more time to raid their Easter baskets, too. See how great that works out…?
