Let’s call it shoe justification

I’m not saying that if you don’t shop at 6pm.com today that there will never be any other worthy shoe deals, or anything, I’m just saying that today is the last day of their reduced shipping ($5 instead of $7), and that they have a ton of clearance as well as deals on Columbia, Keen, Dansko, and more, today.

In other words, I’m saying that it’s a really good justification to get yourself a new pair of shoes on a cold, rainy afternoon. What kind of friend would I be if I didn’t share that kind of enabling with you? Exactly.

Hit the drug store… from your desk

Sure, Amazon’s usually my drug of choice, but I do occasionally venture to other venues for my shopping needs. Today (March 31st, 2011) only, use coupon code FUN15 at Walgreens to save 15% on anything except electronics, diapers, and baby formula. It’s a friends and family thing, but we’re all friend here, right?

Shipping is free on your $25+ order, and there’s plenty on special already, so enjoy.

Nutty about cashews?

These won’t ship until next week, but for the price you can probably wait a few days—Amazon has 2 46-ounce tins of cashews available for just $16.34 shipped when you buy via Subscribe & Save.

That’s nearly six pounds of nuts, and a crazy-good price. Did you know you can keep nuts fresher longer by storing them in the freezer? Handy tip to have if you get in on this one… unless you regularly eat several pounds of nuts at a time, in which case… ummmm… congratulations?

Yeah, this post went right off the rails. Sorry about that.

The sooner you shop, the more you save

The remainder of this week will see savings at Children’s Place, but the deal is that your potential discount goes down, the longer you wait. Sneaky!

So: don’t wait. Shop today and save 25%, using coupon code J6D2011. Tomorrow you’ll only save 20%, and the day after, a mere 15%. But I’m guessing you can find the time to get over there for a quarter off.

Big sale at the Creek

Remember when Coldwater Creek seemed to have a big sale every other week? Those days seem to be over, but they do still roll out some pretty good savings once in a while.

Right now their big Spring Sale is on, with savings of up to 70% off regular prices. Then you can also take an additional $25 off your $100+ purchase with coupon code NZA2045, on top of that.

I remain confused that there are so many cute things on the Coldwater Creek site when my local Coldwater Creek store appears bound and determined to carry only geriatric-wear, but I’m not complaining. There’s better sales online, anyway.

Cereal, oh cereal

Yet another chance to stock up on cereal via Amazon, on the cheap!

I know I’ve linked it before, but this promotion ends in a couple of days and it looks like they’ve done some recent price-tweaking; check out their assortment of eligible Kellogg’s cereals, where coupon code KELRTEC2 saves you an additional 10% and buying via Subscribe & Save saves you another 15% and gives you free shipping.

There are multiple options where the cereal comes out to under $2/box; for example, after discounts, 4 big boxes of Raisin Bran Crunch work out to $1.61/box, delivered.

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, you know.

Get the kids some new spring kicks

Got a kid (or two or three) who needs new shoes? Today and tomorrow (March 30th-31st), the more you buy for them at Piperlime, the more you’ll save.

Buy two pairs of kids’ shoes, save 20%. Buy three pairs, save 25%. Buy four or more pairs, and save 30% on your entire order. Just use coupon code SAVINGS to get in on the deal. There are some brand exclusions (not that I don’t try to use coupons on Merrells every single time…), but aside from those, the coupon works even on items already on sale. This is a great way to stock up on those annoyingly expensive little shoes at a great price!

You know what Wednesday means

Wednesday can only mean one thing: Crushing despair that the week is only half over. Wait, that’s not it. No! Wednesday means it’s a big one-day sale at Kohls (by which we understand “one-day” to mean “for this particular day,” of course). In addition to the sale and clearance merchandise already on tap, for today only, all kinds of things are marked half off.

Stack your savings, friends: Everyone gets free shipping on $75+ and can earn $10 of Kohls Cash for every $50 spent; Kohls card holders can also use coupon code SAVEATKOHLS for an additional 30% off and code MVCFREE for free shipping on any order. No Kohls card? That’s okay, you can use coupon code THANKS4256 to take an additional 15% off your order, anyway.

Easter falls what seems ridiculously late this year, but maybe for once I won’t be scrambling to outfit the kids. This is a good sale to pick up pretty dresses and wee little ties and such.

Great gift options for your kids

So I was checking the Target Daily Deals this morning and thinking that their featured deal—a Kodak waterproof mini camcorder for $55—was a pretty good pick if, say, you have a tween who wants a video camera, but you don’t feel like they’re ready for something like a Flip. But then I went over to Amazon to make sure it was a decent price (and had good reviews), only to discover that Amazon has it for just $48. So I guess if you’re interested, buy it there.

On the other hand, if you’re a big meanie, the Target Daily Deals also contain… a singing Justin Bieber doll. You have no idea how tempted I am to buy that for my nearly-teen for her upcoming birthday. The look of horror on her face would totally be worth it. (If you do shop Target, coupon code TCA23BMA should still be working for an additional 10% off.)
