Flowers for your love

Groupon’s doing another big national deal, this time one that’s very timely: Today you can get $40 to FTD for just $20! That means a cheaper way to buy your sweetie flowers. Or to send flowers to a friend far away. Or, heck, at this price, even flowers for someone you don’t even like all that much.

Of course, once you have your Groupon, using my FTD link automatically gives you 20% off your order, and I don’t know if the two can be used together, but I’m certainly going to find out. Ahem.

If you love Dove

(I’m talking about the health and beauty brand, not the bird. Or the ice cream. Just so we’re clear.)

It’s another chance to save big by buying the stuff you normally pick up at the grocery from Amazon, instead. You pay less, you don’t have to leave the house, and the next time you run out for milk, you get to feel all smug and self-satisfied as you watch your fellow shoppers trying to compare brands and sizes and such on stuff you had delivered for free.

Right now Amazon is offering an additional 15% off qualifying Dove products with coupon code DRGEUI2S. Find the ones available on Subscribe & Save to get another 15% off and free shipping, too. (Like this 2-pack of 24-ounce CreamOil body wash that comes out to about $10 shipped, significantly cheaper than it goes for at my local store.)

There’s about six pages of eligible products—just make sure you’re buying directly from Amazon to use the coupon—so chances are good you’ll be able to find something you need.

5 hours to save at Kohls

It’s a flash sale! (Just like a flash mob, but with less music. And fewer people. Actually, it’s nothing like a flash mob. Forget I said that.)

Starting right now (11:00 a.m. Eastern) and going just five hours (until 4:00 p.m. Eastern), Kohls is offering everyone the chance for extra savings: Use CUPID15EST for 15% off any purchase, or use CUPID20EST for 20% off your $100+ purchase. Either code can be stacked with code SWEET75 for free shipping on your $75+ purchase.

Right now they’ve got one of their 2-day sales going, plus you can still redeem your Kohls Cash from the last period if you haven’t already.

I had to double-check when I saw this, but nope, it’s not even Wednesday. Kohls is, like, getting all wacky. (Yes, this is what passes for excitement in my world. Don’t judge.)

Hey hey, it’s gonna be a good day

Is it wrong that I tend to judge how likely it is that a day is going to be a good one by whether or not there’s a coupon available for Lands’ End? It might be, I admit that. But if it’s wrong, I’m not sure I want to be right. Just sayin’.

So here’s the deal: Today (Tuesday, February 8th) only, shop Lands’ End and get free shipping on any order, plus get $20 off your $75+ purchase! Just use coupon code THINKSPRING and PIN 1966. It works on Overstocks and Lands’ End Canvas items, too.

Awesome, right? I mean, how can you have a bad day with that happening?

A little music to start your day

Need some new tunes? Just hop on over to Amazon and enter promotional code VDAYMP3S for a $2 credit towards any MP3 purchase you want to make.

It won’t cover an entire album, but it’ll get you started. Or get you a couple of tracks you’ve been dying to grab.

Besides, it’s basically free money. If you’re turning down free money, you’re on the wrong website.

The excuse you need not to shop for the kids

I don’t know about you, but it’s typical for me to surf over to a store with intentions of buying myself some new shirts—and I can neither confirm nor deny that this happens while I’m wearing a shirt I’ve had since, say, college—and about three clicks in I realize they have some super cute stuff for the kids, and before I know it, I’ve got a cartful of things for them and absolutely nothing for me.

Today (February 7th) is the perfect day to hop on over to Old Navy if this sometimes happens to you, too; today only, coupon code ONBIG30 takes 30% off your entire purchase of adult items. See, you have no choice but to shop for yourself! The kids’ stuff doesn’t qualify!

(Um, the kids’ section is having a pretty good sale. But ignore that!)

Consolation for Pittsburgh

Sorry, Pittsburgh, but the Steelers weren’t able to pull it out during last night’s game. That’s a bummer. To soothe your disappointment, Groupon has an awesome deal for you today: Anyone can grab today’s Pittsburgh Groupon for Love Stamped, and pay just $17 for $35 worth of personalized jewelry.

These Groupons can’t be redeemed until February 10th, so it’s cutting things too close for Valentine’s Day, but perhaps it’s time to pick up a little gift for yourself, anyway. No holiday necessary for that!

Sims in the sky

Every now and then, the Easter Bunny puts Nintendo DS games in the kids’ Easter baskets. I think that my kids are probably plenty old enough to understand the score on the big bunny, but the thing is, I am fairly anti-DS (only let them play on long car trips), so they know it can’t possibly be me buying them games, so…. You see the dilemma brilliance there, yes?

Of course, the Easter Bunny is also cheap, like someone else you know. Ahem. So he always goes for something about $10 or less. He’s looking at MySims Sky Heroes right now, down to just $9.99 at Amazon with great reviews. (Other platforms are down to $20, in case you prefer Wii or something.) I think it might just look great next to a chocolate bunny, is all I’m sayin’.

Saturday deals

Good morning! Just a few quick deals to have with your coffee, and later we’re going to have a contest. Woo!

For the hardcore Harry Potter fan, you’re going to want to snap up this Harry Potter Pop Up Book, currently nearly 70% off at just $11. (I do hate it when they list these as being for little kids, though. Pop up books are fragile!) That’s a giant… uhhh… is that Buckbeak? It’s big. Heh.

Also at Amazon: If you’re a fan of the Annie’s Homegrown Shells and White Cheddar, right now it’s $15.50 for 12 boxes shipped, when you buy via Subscribe & Save. (Yes, this is significantly more than the blue box stuff. It’s also not atomic orange, and usually costs about twice this much. So.)

This weekend is the big Wear Red sale at Macy’s, with free shipping on your $99+ purchase and an extra 20% off most stuff with coupon code WEARRED.

Over at Kohls, it’s a big weekend sale (shocking!) as well as time to redeem your Kohls cash. Everyone can use coupon code CC224TWY for an extra 20% off your order, too. Shipping is $.99/item or free on your $75+ order, no code necessary.

Did you snag one of the Barnes and Noble Groupons? There’s still time to get one! And if you already have, you might want to check out today’s Barnes and Noble Deals of the Day to get the most bang for your buck.

Don’t forget to check back for a sweet chance to win, later today.
