Still a few hours left to snag the softness

My apologies for not getting this one posted sooner—this is what I get for spending the day traveling—but for the remainder of today (Monday, September 6th), Soft Clothing is offering 15% off and free shipping on all orders with coupon code laborday.

If you have a kid with sensory issues or if you just plain like super-soft cotton clothes for the kids, check ’em out. Their stuff is adorable, as comfortable as your favorite pajamas, and reasonably priced, too.

(Also: Honey, I’m home!)

While I get back home

I hope you’re all enjoying the holiday weekend! I am going to be traveling for most of Monday, so just wanted to pop in and say I’ll be back a bit later in the afternoon than usual.

In the meantime, I don’t know how I missed seeing that 6pm.com is offering free shipping on your $100+ purchase for the holiday. What a truly wonderful excuse to pick up something pretty, yes? Yes.

And then even have Danskos on sale. It’s practically like Christmas.

Ye Olde Great Big Labor Day Round-Up

It’s a holiday weekend, and that means limited-time savings in all sorts of places. Here’s a few sales/specials to check out:

LittleMissMatched is offering 20% off your $50+ order with coupon code LDS20.

Aeropostale is taking an additional 30% off clearance with code LDCLEAR.

Old Navy is offering 20% off $100+ or 25% off $125+ with coupon code ONSAVEBIG.

The Labor Day Sale is on at Sierra Trading Post, and coupon code ALVSEPT2KX takes an additional 20% off your order. Furthermore, entering Easter Egg in the “Special Instructions” section at checkout will get you free shipping, too. (Free shipping will not be reflected at checkout, but will be verified as part of your confirmation email.)

The clearance at Bare Necessities has been marked down another 50%, for the holiday weekend only.

Enjoy discounts along with free shipping on $99+ at Macy’s this weekend—just use code LABORDAY.

(I may add some more to this list tomorrow. Have a great weekend, everyone!)

Fly away, Friday

Gooood morning, and welcome to the best holiday weekend of the year. No one expects any presents, you don’t have to set food on fire (unless you want to), and you can rest secure in the knowledge that someday soon you won’t be quite so sweaty. Yes, Labor Day is my favorite. Also, I’m going on a trip, and as we all know, every holiday is better with strangers rifling through your luggage. Heh. (Oh, TSA, I kid. Please don’t strip-search me.)

Anyway! It’s a good weekend for shopping, too.

The Amazon Friday Sale is continuing its slow decline, but if you’re a Nutella freak (I’m looking at you), you might want this 5-pack of Nutella for $15.49 shipped. Yum. Also, they haven’t yet done away with the 100 MP3 albums for $5 each feature, which I believe still changes monthly, as it appears to be a different selection than last week. Hooray!

Today’s deals at 6pm.com include both Keen and Teva—in case you want to scoop up sandals for next year—as well as some drool-worthy Charles David options and also Skullcandy headphones. Because nothing looks better with a pair of killer stilettos than… earbuds. Ahem.

Right now tons of stuff is on sale at Boscov’s, and if you click through to “Dresses and Suits” and then “Summer Dress Sale” you’ll find a whole slew of dresses under $20. Shipping is a flat $8 unless you spend $50+, at which point shipping is free. Boscov’s often requires a bit of digging, but I’ve gotten some great stuff there before.

Shop at Gap today and you can use coupon code GPLABORDAY for 25% off your order. Wait until the weekend, and the same coupon will take off 20%. On Labor Day it takes off 15%; the day after, 10%; and then on Wednesday you have my permission to punch the person who came up with this promotion squarely in the nose. You’re welcome.

Kohls is doing their big Labor Day push today and tomorrow, with coupon code SPREE4ME giving free shipping on $100+, plus THANKYOU15 will give you another 15% off.

I’m working on a list of other Labor Day sales of note, and am hoping to put that up later today or tomorrow at the latest. That way you can take advantage of all the savings while I’m off being vacationy. Which is totally a word.

Free shipping? Okay, then

There’s usually some sort of reduced shipping on a certain-size order kind of promotion going on at Disney, but right now they’re running a very rare promotion—free shipping on any order. Just use coupon code FREESHIP (I bet it took them a long time to come up with that) through the holiday weekend and it’ll all ship for free.

There’s a few restrictions but I poked around and couldn’t find anything that was excluded; possibly they sell a few really heavy things where you’ll still have to pay a surcharge? Who knows. Listen, I’m buying things like t-shirts, not anvils. Works for me.

You’ve got the cutest little BabyLegs

BabyLegs didn’t exist when my kids were babies, and I’m just a little bit bitter. What’s not to love about adorable leg-long legwarmers that eliminate the need for pants on chilly days for the diaper set? Nothing, that’s what.

If you check out their Labor Day Sale, they’ve got a bunch of 3-pair bundles for just $15 each. Apply coupon code BLNEWS for another 15% off, making it $13.50 for the trio.

Through tomorrow (September 3rd), coupon code KING5 will take 50% off anything else (but not the bundles). Shipping is currently free.

These make great shower gifts, or just great sanity savers if you have a Houdini Stripper baby. Not that I ever had one of those. Ahem.

There’s a suitcase in my shoe

Normally I head on over to 6pm.com for shoes, or maybe even clothing, but today one of their featured discounts is actually American Tourister. Yeah, the suitcases. Worth a look if you’re shopping for one.

And this is normally where I would insert a comment about all of the pretty shoes on sale, too, but I just read that another oil rig exploded in the Gulf, so I’m kind of out of witty comments at the moment….

Make your kids happy, help other kids

Right now they’re having a Halloween Clearance Sale over at the St. Jude Hospital site, which means discounts for you (they have a few toddler costumes for just $5 each, as well as other goodies), plus all proceeds going to a fabulous organization to help sick kids. If that’s not justification to shop, I don’t know what is.

(Thanks for the tip, Meghann!)

More ways to save right from home

It’s true, I’m totally digging Soap.com, truly, madly, deeply, because there’s little I enjoy more than the simulated experience of walking up and down the drugstore aisles without actually having to go to said drugstore. (Plus they sell cheap protein powder that’s weird-chemical-free, so there’s also that.)

It’s their first big coupon event, just in time for Labor Day. Now through September 7th, shop away and use code LABORDAY5 for $5 off your $50+ order, LABORDAY10 for $10 off your $75+ order, or LABORDAY15 for $15 off your $100+ order. And if you’re new to Soap.com? Forget those and use code WANT4632 for 15% off any size order.

2-day shipping is always free on $25+, and don’t forget that they share a basket with Diapers.com, too, where they’re having a Fall Sale as well.

It’s all the savings and convenience of a Big Box store, while you’re still in your jammies. Love.

One for you, one for them

I (as I’ve discussed here before) am not much for new games on the Wii, because I firmly believe that God invented the Wii so that I could drive off the edge of the world in Mario Kart. But sure, okay, occasionally I’ll branch out, and my kids, of course, enjoy playing a variety of games.

Lately my son is obsessed with one called A Boy and His Blob, which I gather is a remake of an original Nintendo game. Whatever it is, it’s hilarious. Said blob can transform into just about anything his boy might need, and what is more entertaining to a kid than that? (Answer: Possibly flatulence, but not much else.) Anyway, Amazon is currently offering it through Hubbagames for just over $13 (even though it’s still $30 via Amazon itself), and it’s a really fun one, so I thought I’d mention it.

Meanwhile, if buying something for the kids makes you want a little something for your gaming fun, too, today’s Video Game Deal of the Day at Amazon is any version of Guitar Hero 5 for just $10. $10 for 85 new songs to rock? That’s a no-brainer.

Rock on, my friends.
