More undies, swimsuits, and such
Seems like we’ve had a lot of lingerie deals, lately. I guess the retailers know ’tis the season to clean out the closets and discover that our panties are fraying. (Oh, is this not something we should discuss in polite conversation? My apologies. Let us never speak of it again. Right after this coupon.)
So anyway, you have until March 25th—which is just a couple of days away because ack it’s nearly April already—to shop at One Hanes Place and use coupon code 612318 at checkout to receive 20% off your purchase. They’ve got a full array of unmentionables as well as bathing suits and socks and t-shirts and, really, all kinds of stuff. Worth a look, for sure.
[Though I’m certain you didn’t clean out your bra drawer and replace as needed, only to discover a week later that you’d completely neglected to stock up on new underwear. Only someone totally absent-minded would do that. I am not naming any names, on the grounds that I might incriminate myself (or my underwear drawer).]
Extra savings mean more shoes
In addition to the regular daily sales available at 6pm.com today, it turns out that they’re having a big March clearance sale. (That loud “squee”ing sound you heard a few minutes ago? That was me….) Unfortunately I’m having trouble linking to it directly with my affiliate link, but if you go through the general link there, there’s a box right at the top of the page that says “Last Chance Clearance Sale.” That’ll take you to all the goodies.
Now, um, I have to go find myself some pretty new shoes get back to work….
Hop to it, bunny
It’s not that I’m suddenly realizing that it’s almost Easter and I need to start thinking about Easter baskets, no nononono. It’s, um, just that I’m looking at toys. For no reason. Yes, that’s it.
A couple of Amazon finds from this morning, should they tickle your fancy (for Easter or otherwise):
For girls, this Candy Ring Maker is down to just $5 and gets surprisingly good reviews.
And for boys, this Bakugan Bakurack is just $4. I am not even going to tell you what I paid for the one my son got last year. I’m just going to sit over here and weep quietly.
And while this Squiggles book claims it’s for ages 4-8, I don’t know, I gave some of the Doodles books (same series) to my kids over Christmas and they love them. I don’t think you outgrow drawing! This one is huge and down to under $8.
I guess I’ll let the bunny know about these sales, then. Move along, nothing to see here.
Dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee
You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension. A dimension of sound. A dimension of sight. A dimension where the Amazon Gold Box Deal is the entire series of the original Twilight Zone on 28 DVDs for just $112 shipped. A dimension where you own all 156 episodes, including that one with the weird guy on the wing of the plane that no one else can see, but you know it’s real.
You have entered… the bargain zone.
Dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee dee….
I scream, you scream
It’s Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry’s today, which means that you can go get a free scoop at any participating scoop shop between noon and 8:00.
I may even take my kids in for a scoop. That is how nice free ice cream makes me.
Extra extra savings? I’m there
Okay, so, today’s the last day for the current sale promotion at Sierra Trading Post, which means it’s the last day to stack up both promotional savings and coupon savings.
First, they’re offering an extra 15%-20% off select items, automatically, plus at least 50% off all Spring shoes. Second, you can use coupon code ALMARCH2KX to take 15% off $100 or 20% off $150, and that works on top of today’s discounts. That’s, like, well, a whole lot of savings if you play your cards right.
Plus it’s a good way to convince yourself that Spring truly is coming. Because I hear it really is.
For your little mermaid
Oh, my—the Company Store Sale of the Day includes adorable mermaid gear (raincoat, boots, and coordinating backpack).
They’ve also got some great prices on their Medici bedding, but that’s not nearly as fun as little girls dressing as mermaids. Sorry.
Charge on the go
I always think that having one of those independent phone charger gizmos would be a good idea, but then I wander off and see something shiny and forget that I wanted to get one. Oops. But today Buy.com has an iPhone Power Station for just $10 shipped, and I’m finding it sort of tempting. It’s slim! You can recharge it with your computer! Works with any iPhone or iPod!
And perhaps the best part of all: “Ships from and sold by DrHotDeal.”
I don’t know who DrHotDeal is, but it would make me giggle to buy something from him. Just sayin’.
Holiday accessories?
Normally I wouldn’t look twice at something like this, but I can’t help thinking that at this particular price point, it might be cute for Easter baskets (or even to put away for stockings for next Christmas): Today Graveyard Mall has 4-packs of Disney batteries for just $.99 each, and if you order four of them (and nothing else) they ship for free.
Yeah, they’re probably terrible batteries. Yeah, they go inside the toy and aren’t seen again. Still, for a buck, they’re kind of adorable.
Nerf your Wii
I don’t condone violence. And in general I don’t buy my kid toys I consider violent. But I’ll confess to having a soft spot for Nerf toys, because—let’s face it—sometimes you just want to get out a little bit of aggression and shoot something. Ahem. If there’s going to be shooting, I prefer it to involve foam rather than any sort of facsimile of real guns or suggestion of shooting real living creature with something that will make them do more than say, “Ow.”
So with that long, rambling preface, I present to you: The Nerf N-Strike Elite EX-3 Blaster bundle for the Wii, currently just under $20 shipped at Best Buy. Fit your wiimote into that baby and shoot away, in a fast-paced game that works off their energy but never suggests they should actually be using firearms. Plus, you get an actual Nerf shooter, too, so when the kids are naughty you can shoot them.
Oh, did I say that part out loud…?
For comparison, the bundle is currently around $30 at Amazon, so I’m digging this deal quite a bit.
