Get some edutainment
I know that PBS is educational, but I’m just geek enough to find their programming really interesting, too. Which is how the world ends up with words like “edutainment,” which sound incredibly stupid but gets the point across.
Anyway, this week you can cruise shopPBS.org to your heart’s content and receive $10 off your $59 order, automatically. So if you’ve been dying to pick up an entire series, or something, now might be a good time.
And money goes towards supporting PBS—no telethons necessary—so it’s hard to argue with the wisdom there.
Plus, babies still on sale!
Yes, I am not tiring of the joke I made last week about Kohls selling babies. I am easily amused.
Anyway, last week’s coupons are now expired (boo!) but there’s a new coupon out for everyone (yay!), whether you have a Kohls charge card or not. Just use coupon code YOURGIFT today (Wednesday, January 20th, 2010) only for 20% off whatever you buy.
Sadly, there aren’t any free shipping codes out right now, but if you spend $75+ you’ll get free shipping automatically. And returns at the store are always an option. Just a friendly suggestion.
Free green clean
Want to try a Clorox Greenworks product of your choice, for free? Just fill out a quick survey and your sample will be on the way.
You’ll forget all about it, and then there it’ll be in your mailbox. Like magic.
Time for cheap eats
Yes, it’s time for another Restaurant.com coupon, again—simply use code FEAST for 70% off your purchase, making a $25 dining certificate a cool $3 out of pocket.
Be sure to read the fine print; some restaurants have day of the week restrictions, and nearly all of them have a minimum purchase amount, but this is still a great way to save some cash on dining out.
Just think what you could do with the $22 you save! Why, that’s enough to eat out a second time!
Even better
Remember when I told you about thinkThin bars being on sale at Amazon this month? I didn’t even mention the thinkOrganic bars, because they’re even more expensive than the others. But looky here—today they’re the Amazon Gold Box Deal, at just $13 for a box of $15 organic bars.
Coupon code THNK8563 still works for another 15% off, so you’ll end up paying about $.74/bar for something that’s normally $2+ apiece.
Plus, I really don’t think you can put a price on diet-sanctioned chocolate. I mean, really.
Look, listen and play
Whether you need more tunes for your new MP3 player, or you want some discs to try out in your new DVD player, or you need a new game or three for that gaming system you finally got, Second Spin is always the place to scoop up pre-owned bargains.
I happen to think their regular prices are plenty awesome, but if you can catch a deal when they have a coupon going, so much the better. So here you go: Through January 21st, 2010, use coupon code 25SHIPJAN to take 25% off your order of $25+. The only problem you might have is getting your order up to the minimum—like I said, the prices there are very affordable.
They have most anything you might want, but in particular I’ll mention that they have a great selection of karaoke CDs. (I can’t be the only mom to a tween with a karaoke machine, can I? Misery loves company, you know.)
Kits full of clean, on clearance
Oh, Target, how do I love thee? I shall doodle pink hearts on you until Security asks me to please step outside.
Check these out: Right now there are four different boxed kits from Procter and Gamble full of health and beauty or cleaning items at 75% off. Each one was originally $50 and is now just $12.50!
Choose the one that suits your needs, from Dirty Dorm Clean Up Kit (hey, it’s cleaning products, I don’t think you have to live in an actual dorm) to the To Your Health Wellness Kit. Shipping is free on $50+, so you could stock up and not even have to pay for shipping. Remember coupon code URTYJLI8 for another 10% off, too.
Read the product lists to see what each one includes, but $12.50 for a 5+ pound box full of items you probably buy anyway is a steal.
Pack it up
Have some traveling planned? Be sure to pop on over to the Target Daily Deals—they’ve got a 21″ upright rolling suitcase available for just $30. Use coupon code URTYJLI8 for another 10% off and it’s just $27 to your door.
At that price, even if the baggage handlers destroy it after a couple of trips, it’s probably still a good deal.
I hate to be a girl. . .
… but despite being quite capable (if I do say so, myself), the few times I’ve had to use jumper cables, I’ve harbored a secret phobia about blowing up my car. Really. I know it’s ridiculous. And I know what order to put the clips on in. It’s completely irrational. But… there it is.
So it’s possible that my inner neurotic did a little dance of glee upon seeing this Car-to-Car 12V Jumpstarter on sale for just $12 shipped from Buy.com today—it plugs into the cigarette lighters! Perfect for a new driver, or for someone with an active imagination like myself.
Plus it’s a lot smaller than jumper cables, giving you plenty of extra storage space for whatever else you need. The best part is that there’s no need to pop the hood, no angst required.
My kind of chocolate
I admit it; I’ve not been the most gracious person in the world since embarking on this “lose 10 pounds in 10 weeks” plan I’m doing right now. Ahem. I’m working hard and complaining harder, you might say.
So it’s possible I got a little too excited when I saw that right now at Amazon, you can save an additional 30% on thinkThin bars, which happen to be—hello!—chocolate. Yeah, they’re protein bars, and yes, they’re natural and diet-friendly and such, but I generally hate protein bars and I kind of love these. (Yes, they’re gluten-free!)
Use coupon code THNK8563 to save 15%, plus buy via Subscribe & Save to save another 15% and get free shipping. All eligible products are already on sale, too. Check out the thinkThin Variety Pack—it’s already half off, so with the additional discounts, it comes out to just about $1.12/bar. (Edited to add: Wait, looks like they’re not offering S&S on that one. Phooey. Still not a bad price….)
