Saturday deals

I’m not here, I’m off camping. Except that I’m not, because I came down with something nasty, so I’m at home while my entire family camps without me. Not that I’m bitter, or anything. Wah.

Don’t mind me; I’ll just be here in bed. You go shop. No, really, it’s fine.

Old Navy is having a 15th Birthday Bash, with tons of hot items just $15 and under. Make it even better—use coupon code ONBDAY15 for another 15% off!

Today is the last day of the Anniversary Celebration at Overstock.com, which means today is the last day for free shipping on everything and the last Screaming Deal, and they’re ending on a high note—today’s deal is a Garmin Nuvi 255 for $130 shipped. (For reference: The same unit is on sale at Amazon for $150.)

Target’s featured Daily Deal today is an adorable pet bed set, perfect for your favorite pampered pooch. (What? I have no idea how that ended up in my shopping cart. I would never spoil my dog….)

There’s too many deals to list at 6pm.com this weekend; get ready for winter with the Columbia specials, or scoop up the season-end savings on swimwear. And Keen shoes as low as $25? I wish I could quit you, 6pm.

Shopping for music, DVDs, or video games? Through October 15th, find everything you want at Second Spin (home of great prices on gently used media), then use coupon code OCTB2G1 to buy any two items and get the third absolutely free.

Toys R Us is celebrating Bricktober with discounts on all Lego products, plus they’ve got a Columbus Day Sale going this weekend, so it’s a great time to scoop up some of the stuff your kids are dying to get this holiday season. Just sayin’.

I always kind of forget about Sierra Trading Post for a little while and then I go over there and I’m all, “Oh! Right! I love this place!” Through October, use coupon code ALOCTOBER9 to save 15% on your $100+ order, or 20% on your $150+ order.

I am going back to bed. Try to stay out of trouble while I finish feeling sorry for myself.

Friday’s going into the woods

We’re going camping this weekend, which means that tonight I’ll be sitting around a campfire, telling my kids to please, for the love of all that’s holy, just stop touching each other. Doesn’t that sound magical? I may need some good Amazon Friday Sale mojo before we leave, just to… ummm… give me luck.

The 10-piece Earth Pan set is back, this time at $115 shipped. This is a great alternative if you want a non-stick surface but are worried about the chemicals in conventional Teflon coating.

And if you just want uncoated Calphalon, the ubiquitous everyday pan and stockpot are back in the Friday Sale for your bargain purchasing pleasure.

I don’t know why this umbrella-shaped photo holder delights me so, but it’s one of my favorite gifts to give. Today it’s $17 shipped and eligible for the 4-for-3 promotion, so if you buy four, they’re just $12.75 apiece.

Need a handy filler item for your order, to get free shipping? There’s a 3-pack of Elmer’s glue sticks for $1.24 or a 3-pack of Scotch Magic Tape for $2.64. (The best part is the “Related Items From External Websites” part way down at the bottom; doesn’t everyone who spends a few bucks on tape go on to buy Versace eyeglasses?)

I know that school already started and also that my middle schooler would simply die if I tried to get her to carry something like this, but nevertheless, I may have to borrow someone’s kindergartener so that I can justify the purchase of this lunch box. So cute!

I’m sorry; I couldn’t not click on something listing itself as a Magical Lingerie Magical Panty. Sadly, I can now report it’s merely a padded pair of panties. In case you need more booty. And on behalf of women everywhere with more than enough booty, I would like to offer up some of mine to those less fortunate. I mean, as long as we’re being magical and everything.

Today’s Gold Box Deal is a fancy Garmin wrist watch GPS with heart monitor, the perfect gift for a cross-country running enthusiast. Or for someone with heart issues who gets lost easily. Either way.

And don’t forget to check out October’s 50 MP3 albums for just $5 each, because it’s a great way to bulk up your music collection on the cheap.

I know I still owe you contest winners from yesterday, and they’re coming, as is another contest for tomorrow. I’m just… ummm… running a little behind. And possibly I packed the winners with the marshmallows. I’ll check.

Got any Drugstore Dollars?

I’ve you’ve shopped at Drugstore.com any time between July and now, it’s time to redeem your drugstore.com dollars!

Personally, I shopped there before for Align probiotics and now they’ve got an instant $5 off coupon available on the same, so I can go redeem my Drugstore Dollars and save some more, so I think I’ll do that.

Alternatively, you could check out their October Sale or shop their Halloween Store, where things like costumes ship for free for a limited time.

Don’t let those dollars expire, whatever you do. That’s free money, right there.

Shoes are always good, right?

Forgive me Internet, for I have sinned. It’s been several days since I last posted a shoe deal. I think. This week is kind of blurry, frankly.

Anyway, over at 6pm.com today there’s Asics at 65% off if you’re the type who buys new shoes so as to get more fit, or check out the $20 Aerosoles (huge selection) if—like me—you’re the type to buy new shoes to possibly draw attention away from the fact that oops, you are not nearly as fit as probably you could be. Ahem.

Italian, er, Spanish for “bargain”

I don’t know about you, but I cook with quite a bit of olive oil. Amazon often has markdowns on giant tins of it, but I’m sometimes hesitant to hop on those deals because even I—devoted lover of fat in all its forms—can only use so much oil while cooking for a family of four.

But this month’s deal on Zoe olive oils offers great pricing on liter-sized (or smaller) containers, so I know I’ll actually be able to use it all before it goes bad. The prices have already been reduced, plus use coupon code ZOEOIL25 for another 10% off and then buy via Subscribe & Save for another 15% off and free shipping.

The only problem I’m having now is deciding which one to get. Arbequina? Cornicabra? Where’s that Australian guy from The Food Network who swoops down on people in the supermarket when you need him??

Deep thoughts about camcorders

The very pretty Katie writes:

I need some help. I am going to get a camcorder for my hubby for Christmas. Do you have any recommendations? The primary use is to videotape my child being funny so we can black mail him later. Like at Prom. I know you have posted stuff about the Flip, are there any others? Should I wait until closer to get a better deal?

The answer to “are there any others” is “of course there are.” The reason the Flip is so popular and gets so much press is that:
1) It’s relatively inexpensive.
2) It’s small.
3) It’s idiot-proof.
4) The quality is astonishingly good for a device of its size/price.

We own two Flips. I pink puffy heart them. But let’s do a little more investigation…. read more…

Wishing for great prizes?

They’ve done it for nine years previously, and now for the big 10th anniversary they’ve brought it back again—don’t forget to check out the Amazon Wish List Sweepstakes to find out what sort of fantastic goodies you could win this year!

All you need to do to get started is have a wish list. Easy peasy.

More than jeans

Right now at Lee Jeans, they’ve got Fall items marked up to 30% off, and you’ll automatically get free shipping on your order of $30+.

I’ll admit it; I used to think of Lee as kind of making… well… Mom Jeans. But some of their new styles are really cute, and they make my very favoritist cargo pants in the entire world.

And “favoritist” is totally a word when you’re talking about well-fitting pants.

A trip in the Wayback Machine

Let’s just assume that I’ve already grumbled about walking to school uphill in the snow both ways for miles without shoes, and furthermore that I’ve told you to get off my lawn. Okay. Now we can talk about how, long ago, StarCraft, WarCraft and Diablo were the coolest computer games around.

If you or someone you love is in need of a hefty dose of nostalgia that includes either aliens or orcs, you’ll want to check out today’s Video Game Deal of the Day at Amazon; choose from three different Battle Chest packages of PC gaming in the flavor that strikes your fancy.

If you’re truly a geek, you’ve already played them. But maybe you want to do it all again. Or maybe you just want to get all old-timey for the first time.

(My favorite part is the “Attack!” cry on WarCraft. Makes me giggle every single time.) (Oops! I’ve said too much!)
