Looking good, Teddy!

Okay, so, you know how every year Amazon teams up with Gund for a limited-edition holiday bear, and you get it by spending $100 or $150 or something on qualifying toys? (Maybe you didn’t know that, but it’s a thing, and because it’s a Gund bear it’s usually really nice—I always try to get one for Toys For Tots.)

Anyway, I don’t know about you, but I’m rarely dropping that kind of money at Amazon all at once. I’m more of a $20 here, $30 there type. But now I can get the bear, anyway—because if you buy this $150 Amazon gift card you get the bear for free!

Now, if you’re buying those kinds of cards for others, then let’s please be good friends because you’re awesome. If you’re not, though, you can absolutely buy that card and use it yourself. And then you have a cute bear to keep or give or donate, too.

Once more, with feeling (and 30% off)

One more time: If you haven’t signed up for Schoola yet, when you do it through my referral link, there, you get $20 spend (and so do I, which is nice). They have a wide array of gently-used clothes for little ones all the way up to teens/adults, right now they’re offering free shipping on every order, and coupon code COZY30 will take 30% off everything except new-with-tags items through November 22nd.

We’ve had pretty good luck with Schoola—the few disappointments were quickly made right by their customer service—and I do enjoy paying a whole lot less for the clothes my children are going to love for 5 minutes and then shove under their beds. (And in the meantime, I’ve snagged quite a few lovely designer items for myself, too.)

Get K’NEX-ted

(See what I did there? Little play on words for my own amusement. I’ll be here all week.)

If you have kids who love all things LEGO and building, chances are excellent that you’ve got some K’NEX sets on your holiday shopping list. Prices are already starting to drop—right now at Amazon, this 618-piece tub is just $20—pretty good—and this 705-piece set is down to just $16.88 (its lowest price ever). Get ’em while they last!

Get ready, get set…

Don’t look now, but sales are already starting to pick up, and we may be seeing even better prices on some items this week than next. ‘Tis the season!

Like today, Macy’s is doing one of their One Day Sales—not unusual for them—but they’ve brought out a bunch of Web Buster prices as well as a bunch of so-called Late-Breaking Specials. Better still, right now they’re offering free shipping on $25+ instead of their typical $99+, which makes it a lot easier to grab the one or two things you really want.

As for what, exactly, is on sale? Well, a better question might be what’s not on sale. There’s plenty of deals in every single department, looks like. I’m still looking.

These are totally the droids you’re looking for

If you have small Star Wars fans in the house, I’m about to make you (or at least them) very happy.

Right now Amazon is running a “20% off select boots” special, which is nice, but some non-boot items have slipped in there. Like these R2-D2 Crocs, which are definitely not boots, but are amazing and adorable. At $18.50, they’re already cheaper than you’ll find ’em anywhere else, but even better, coupon code 20BOOTUP takes another 20% off, and then they’re just $14.50.

Sure, they may not be ideal winter footwear, and they’re not boots, but a deal today could be a whole lot of joy and happiness in the spring. Or good house shoes for the winter. Whatever.

If you’re grabbing something at Amazon…

… why not throw this 12-pack of creamed corn in your cart (it’s an add-on item at just $3.96)? I like to add it to homemade cornbread batter (yum), but it’s a perfect Food Pantry donation item, too. The price is a no-brainer. I’m going to get a couple to donate and probably one for us so that I can listen to my teenagers complain for the next six months that “the pantry is full of corn!”

[Edited to add: Well, that was fast. Seems like it’s gone now Argh.]

Not your grandma’s Crocs

Oh, sure, when Crocs first started gaining popularity, we all cracked jokes about plastic clogs and felt smug, even as some of us (read: me) had a beloved pair set aside for working in the garden. But now Crocs come as clogs or sandals or shoes or even boots—basically a whole array of footwear, and they’re not even all made of that weird foam stuff.

So! If you love Crocs (or just want to see what they’re up to now…), today’s a good day to shop: they’re offering an additional 50% off already-marked-down styles with coupon code EXTRA50. Shipping is automatically free when you spend $24.99+.

And if you have little kids who wear their summer shoes, this is an especially good time to stock up if you’re willing to hedge your bets on what size they’ll be wearing next year.

Spread a little Disney magic

Have little ones to shop for who looooove all things Disney? Hop on over to all the deals over at Disney Store and take special note of their special on fleece throws right now—they’re half-price (just $10), and you can get free personalization with coupon code FREEPZ. This is especially great for those kids with unusual names.

There’s also Buy 1, Get One for $1 on plushes, too. Is it wrong that I want Anger from Inside Out for myself? (Maybe don’t answer that….)

Get free shipping on your $75+ order with coupon code SHIPMAGIC, too. Otherwise shipping starts at $4.95.

If it’s Wednesday and a holiday…

… it must be a turbocharged Kohlsday!

There’s Doorbusters galore, plus you can stack coupons like crazy to save big on top of that. Everyone gets $10 in Kohls Cash for every $50 you spend, and everyone gets free shipping on $50+ or free shipping to your local store. Spend $25+ and you can use coupon code VETERANS10 to take $10 off.

Better still, if you have a Kohls card (and if you ever shop at Kohls, have a Kohls card, because you get all the best coupons that way!), you can stack that code along with TURKEY30 for 30% off and code SHIPMVC for free shipping on any size order.

Even if I only end up using a sale like this to stock up on socks for the kids, or whatever, I always end up buying something. The savings are just too good to pass up.

$11 for 11/11

Today is 11/11, and in addition to being fun to say, it means that if you spend at least $11 at Schoola today, you’ll get an $11 credit sent to you on December 1st for a future purchase.

If you haven’t tried Schoola yet (if you haven’t, why not??), signing up through my link will get you a $20 credit to spend on your first purchase. (What’s better than free money? Nothing.) Buy gently-used clothing for your kids, or pick up some cool clothes for yourself. Several of my favorite sweaters came from Schoola, and when the tell-tale white mailer arrived, my kids were mad that it was clothes for me instead of them. Right now they’re offering free shipping on every order, too.

Will I spend $11 today to have $11 next month? I believe I will.
