It’s nearly the end of the month. . .
… and that means it’s time for even bigger savings at Restaurant.com! Yep, through March 31st, 2008, you can take 60% off your purchase with coupon code GENIUS. (Because you are, you know. Also, you’re pretty.)
Snap up those $25 certificates for just $4, and let the good times roll. Just a warning, though—you’ll be out of excuses for why you can’t go out on a date, now. Even once you pay the sitter, this is cheaper than just the meal alone. What are you waiting for?
It’s almost planting time
I have a confession to make. I… am afraid of my garden.
We moved here last summer, you know, and so I waved my hands and declared it too late to plant anything. Fiddle dee dee, I said! (Well, not really.) Next year, I said!
But now it’s next year and I don’t know if you’ve ever been to Georgia, but I find myself pining for the nice sandy loam I had in New England. The ground here is made of clay. Weeding requires a Herculean effort. I’m not sure I have the stamina to actually plant anything. And don’t even get me started on what this lovely red clay is doing to my children’s clothes.
Nevertheless, every March my thoughts turn to all the wonderful things I could plant, and I find myself thumbing through the nursery catalogs with a glint in my eye. Here—maybe I could plant vicariously, through you! That’s it! Go check out the Spring Hill Nursery One Cent Sale, why don’t you. Every plant in that category is buy one, get the second for a penny. Perfect. Plus, you can make it even sweeter: through March 26th, 2008 (that’s tomorrow), use coupon code 414465 to take $20 off your $20+ order. Order $20 worth and just pay shipping ($7.95).
And then send me a picture of your garden. Please.
Goooooood morning!
Having some cereal for breakfast? If you go fill out this form, you could be having Total Cranberry Crunch for breakfast someday soon, for free. (Yeah, it’s just a sample. But did I mention that it’s free? The only thing I like better than “free” is “free food.”)
Some days it really doesn’t take much to make me happy, you know.
Let’s try that again
Okay, so, I posted that last deal and it died just about five minutes later. Hmph. Darn Amazon on their “price adjustments.” Let’s see how long this one lasts:
Need a set of bunk beds? How about these Powell Ontario pine twin bunk beds for $139. Shipping is $33.09, which still renders the whole thing over $400 cheaper than Amazon’s regular price.
Okay, someone time how quickly this one disappears, now. Heh.
Funky dishes, cheap cheap cheap
(Sorry, sorry, I went on a field trip with my daughter’s class this morning, and so have fallen down on my duties here. Will catch up this afternoon! Promise!)
Okay, so, I am sort of in love with these Oneida round retro leaves dishes, and that link there takes you to a service for 8 that’s marked down to just $29.99 with free Super Saver Shipping. That’s a great deal on a set of stoneware, if you’re in the market for dishes and like those.
But wait (she said in her best Ginsu announcer voice)—there’s more! Buy those dishes, or indeed any Oneida service for 8, and you can get a Sasaki envy green 18-inch art glass platter for free using coupon code DZY3GJ3G. I don’t know if that platter is something I’d spend the current $59.99 on (oh wait, yes I do: No), but I’d take it for free, sure.
Check ’em out if you’re so inclined.
I’m not convinced this is a good thing
You know I love free samples, right? And lord knows as I move closer and closer to that next landmark birthday (I am of course referring to 29; ahem) I’ve been searching for make-up which is both affordable and helps me to look as young as a feel rather than as old as I actually am. (The irony here, of course, is that 99% of the time I wear no make-up at all, because A) I work from home and B) I am lazy.)
Anyway, this free sample of Maybelline mineral powder liquid foundation may or may fit the bill for my own personal usage, but if their splash page is to be believed, it makes your face blend in to a wave of foundation. I’m scared.
But I’m still going to try it, because it’s free. (Note: They don’t ask you what shade you want, either, so this one may be worth exactly what you pay for it. Heh.)
Mmmm. . . Harrison Ford
Er, um, I mean, gosh don’t you just love the excitement and suspense of the Indiana Jones movies? Because they are fine cinema? And not at all because Harrison Ford looks like he might make a delicious snack? Yes, of course. That’s what I meant.
Anyway, if you’re a fan of Indy (whether for his adventures or his good looks), you might want to scoop up the Adventures of Indiana Jones widescreen DVD set over at Deep Discount, because you can get the original trilogy for just $23.11, shipped. Yummy.
Saturday deals
Must make this quick, as we’re back to the soccer field today to mark the beginning of the spring season. Picture me looking thrilled. Ahem.
The response was so overwhelming, Threadless decided to extend their Spring Cleaning Sale until March 26th, plus the first 5,000 people to use coupon code spring08 will receive $5 off their $50+ order due to some site downtime they had earlier this week. Me, I cannot resist the $9 shirts… we had a big box of ’em arrive earlier today. I pink puffy heart Threadless.
This weekend you can take $20 off your $250+ Overstock order through that there link. Coupon expires around noon on March 24th, 2008.
Endless is no longer doing the -$5 overnight shipping, but their siren song continues; as always, overnight shipping is free, and now you can save $20 on select orders of $100 in women’s shoes or take 20% off orders of two pairs of select men’s shoes. Both promotions are running through April 6th, 2008.
Right now you can enjoy free shipping on each and every order at ChampionCatalog.com, through April 8th, 2008.
This weekend Jos. A. Bank is taking 40% off of everything, so if the man in your life needs a suit or other snappy attire, now’s the time to shop.
For a limited time, Ann Taylor Loft is offering free shipping on all orders, plus coupon code 80200012 will take $25 off your $50+ order.
And if it’s candles you want, Illuminations has a 25% off coupon available through March 31st, 2008. Just use coupon code 999201353 at checkout (thanks, Jamie).
Enjoy your weekend! If you celebrate Easter, well, have some chocolate for me.
Not that I’m counting
Hey, it’s Friday! That means that my son has had his torture devices in his mouth for five days, which means we only have… um… thirteen month and twenty-five days to go in this phase of treatment! Why, we’re practically there! (Dude, is it too early for a drink…?)
Okay, so: You need to go buy something at the Amazon Friday Sale so that I have money to pay the orthodontist because there’s some great deals to be had. Ahem.
Mother’s Day is coming up (Father’s Day, too)… and remember when I said these Philips digital photo frames were the best but would always cost a lot more? 60% off, baby. I’d snap up a couple of those right quick.
This Calphalon commercial 9-piece set is down to just $139.99 (plus there’s some special offers available when you buy a minimum amount), which has me wondering if I could “accidentally” drop some of my Circulon this morning, because dang. (Prefer nonstick? Check out this Analon set, instead.)
I am sort of in love with these mod espresso shot glasses despite the fact that a shot of espresso would wind me up so tightly my head would probably shatter.
Look, cheap shoes for the guys! And you can even pricematch at Endless—not so much because you’ll save a lot more (you won’t) but because then you get the speedy shipping and free return, if you want it.
I am mesmerized by these chairs. I don’t know why. I’m not even talking about the price; the chairs themselves look like they belong in some sort of futuristic house where everything is cubular.
Oh look, for your bistro! (I don’t have a bistro. I have a gazebo. But now I sort of want a bistro.)
Have a great Friday, everyone!
Get positively medieval
It’s not often I get to come tell you that something is an incredible deal at Nordstrom, so please take a moment to recognize the auspiciousness of this occasion. Heh.
This is a buy-it-now-for-Christmas sort of thing, but the Melissa and Doug Medieval Castle is currently $49.50 (half off) and, well, it’s wicked cool. (The same item is currently $80.95 at Amazon.)
Shipping is about $8. I don’t think we’ll see that one any cheaper any time soon. (And it’s not even all girly and pink, either.)
