Don’t forget to stack those savings!
Now that we’re into November, surely you’re checking the Amazon Lightning Deals with more regularity, right? Lots of good stuff coming down the pike.
Also, next week is Veteran’s Day, so Amazon is getting a jump on that with a sale on most apparel—you can take an extra 20% off with coupon code 20VETERANS. But did you know that if there’s a Lightning Deal on a clothing item which qualifies, you can also use the coupon, and the 20% comes off of the original price before the Lightning discount?
For example, right now these adorable microfleece pajamas for women are on a Lightning Deal for $20, which is nice, but not great. (Are they really $48 normally? Do people pay that for pajamas??) But with the coupon, they come down to just over $10, which is a great price for warm jammies.
And here’s another tip: You can buy more than one size/pattern on Lightning Deals, too. I may have just gotten a couple pairs.
It’s an online tent sale
About once a year they do a huge clear-out sale over at Oneida, and it’s on right now. They’ve got about 150 items marked at least 70% off, plus you can use coupon code TENT20 for an additional 20% off. Shipping is automatically free on $59+, too.
It’s not just silverware—there’s tons of glassware, storageware, etc.
This is always a very dangerous sale for me. My husband seems to believe that we have plenty of measuring cups, already, but see, he is mistaken, because I don’t have that one with a lid, yet. You can see my dilemma….
There’s still time!
Don’t have a Halloween costume? Check out this assortment of Halloween costumes at Amazon with free 1-day shipping! Many are deeply discounted, too. I wasn’t going to dress up, but this Maleficent costume is less than $15 in my size… sooo… no promises. (Hey, if nothing else, I could totally wear it to my kid’s high school graduation in the spring, right?)
Anyway… you’ll have to dig a bit, but there’s great options, and you’ll have ’em in time for trick-or-treating.
Everybody siiiiiing!
Am I the only one who plays the Woot-Off song on the site every time they’re wooting off? C’mon, you do it, too. It’s catchy!
Whether you listen or not, they’re wooting off all day long at Woot, Home.Woot, Electronics.Woot, Computers.Woot, Tools.Woot, Sport.Woot, Accessories.Woot, Kids.Woot, and Wine.Woot (motto: sometimes wine but also other crap a lot of the time). That’s a lot of wooting.
As always, items will appear for 30 minutes or until they sell out, whichever happens first. $5 ships all the orders you make for the entire day, too (excluding anything from Wine.Woot, because… actually, I have no idea why. Wine.Woot just likes to be different.)
Woot-Offs are dangerous shopping days for me, but on the other hand… the thrill of the chase! The rush of the deals! The absurdity of the stuff that shows up on Wine.Woot! It’s all good.
Kinetic sand deals
I’m pretty sure the first time I encountered kinetic sand was in one of those fancy mall stores… Brookstone, maybe… and they had a display out front and my kids and I ended up stopping and playing with it for much longer than I should probably admit. Because it’s sand but it’s also sort of like clay and it’s weird and wonderful and very, very zen to poke around in.
Of course, then I looked at the price and went on my way. Hahaha!
Today one of the Deal of the Day offerings at Amazon is 40% off Spin Master toys, which includes a variety of kinetic sand kits. (There’s a bunch of themed offerings, but if you just want the most sand for your buck, go with the 2 pound bucket for $11. That’s its lowest price ever and the most sand in any of the kits.)
It would be weird if I had a bucket of sand on my desk, right? Just theoretically.
Stock up at Children’s Place
Time for another wardrobe revamp for the little ones, or maybe you’re ready to get some holiday finery shopping done? Children’s Place has you covered—right now every order ships for free, and coupon code TREAT50 takes 50% off nearly everything.
I know they’re always having some sort of promo, but really, half off and free shipping makes it a no-brainer.
And, uh, just in case the elves bring pajamas for Christmas at your house and your “little darlings” are now not-so-little… don’t forget that their fleece pajamas also come in adult sizes. (They’re $30, which means they’re just $15/pair with the coupon.)
Look, kids! Parliament! Big Ben!
Sorry, I lied about Parliament—it’s just Big Ben. LEGO Big Ben, that is, down to just $19.98 at Amazon (about a third off, and the LEGO Architecture sets rarely go on sale).
This 346-piece set has an average 4.5 stars review and will let your brickhead recreate a world landmark in plastic, the way the lord intended. Or something. (Hey, I don’t make the toys. I just tell you about them.)
There’s still time to save on a costume
Are you ready for Halloween? Got your costumes all set? If not, don’t fret—not only do you still have plenty of time with Amazon Prime, they’re offering an extra 30% off qualifying costumes right now. Just make sure you’re looking at one that qualifies (shipped by Amazon, etc.) and apply coupon code HAL30WEEN at checkout. It turns out that sometimes procrastination is a valid savings strategy! (Also, here’s a tip: They’ve got a fair amount of Christmas/Chanukah stuff in there, too.)
And yes, it works on items already on sale. Plenty of great deals to be had, still.
A rare double discount at Vera!
I don’t know why this is, but I’m not asking—right now at Vera Bradley all sale styles are going down an additional 30% when you add them to your shopping bag, plus they’re offering free shipping on all orders, no minimum! It’s the perfect time to scoop up just a few little gifts.
(I have no idea how long this is going to last, either. The extra 30% off is only today. The shipping? Dunno. I’m shopping right now.)
Sharp dressing for the men
When I think discounts, I don’t usually think Perry Ellis, but hey, even they have to break down and clear stuff out every now and then. Right now everything in their sale section is an additional 40% off when you add it to your cart, plus today (Wednesday, October 21st) only, shipping is free on every order.
I like their stuff, and I especially like that they offer dress shirts in both Slim and Very Slim. Maybe you see that and think “hipster,” but I see that and think, “Oh thank goodness my string bean teen can finally have a dress shirt that doesn’t make him look like he lost 20 pounds since we bought that shirt.”
Of course, I also see “extra 40% off and think “time to shop,” so whatever.
