Save on personal care organics
In theory—you know, in a world where money is no object—I would go completely natural/organic in a heartbeat. It just seems like a good idea. In reality, I have to pick and choose where to spend the extra money on products I suspect are both better for my family and better for the earth.
Through the end of October, you don’t have to choose.
Right now you can take $10 off your qualifying $49+ organics purchase at Amazon, choosing from amongst a variety of products from Tom’s of Maine, Kiss My Face, Burt’s Bees, and more. Most of this stuff is already marked down, so applying the coupon on top of the reduced prices (and don’t forget that free shipping) is just the icing on the cake.
By the way—if you have a baby, or a baby to buy for? The Burt’s Bees Baby Bee line is amazing. Just sayin’.
Are you feeling lucky, punk?
It’s Thing Fling‘s one year anniversary, and to celebrate, they’re offering an Almost Mystery Box for $2.99. You’ll get a box with three items (what three items? who knows! it’s a mystery!), plus a $3 coupon good towards a future order. It’s practically risk-free!
It ought to be good for some stocking-stuffers and/or gag gifts, at the very least….
Indestructible backpack for under $10 shipped
Okay, this is probably not my favorite fabric ever, but still, it’s an LL Bean lifetime guarantee backpack for under $10. That’s pretty hard to beat.
Free candy at Kmart
Several folks sent this one in to me (thanks, everyone!), and I guess now I have to go to Kmart. Just print out this coupon and you can go redeem it for a free bag of candy up until Halloween.
I suppose the idea is that then you give the candy away to trick-or-treaters. But if you kept it for yourself I doubt they’d come take it away. Just so you know.
Get free shipping at J. Crew
Here’s a handy little tip via my good friend Susan, who happens to be a slave to J. Crew: If you go register on their site, they’ll email you a one-time use free shipping code.
That seems like a handy thing to know. Thanks, Susan!
Cheap make-up even cheaper
Lots of you have been emailing me coupons for E.L.F. lately, and I keep filing them and meaning to post them and never getting around to it, with the result that now I have a whole list to share in one post. In other words, I totally meant to do that. Yes. Ahem.
If you’ve never done the E.L.F. thing, they’re a great place to get decent make-up, with most of their products costing just a buck. You could totally restock your make-up supply for less than a lipstick would cost you at a department store counter!
Anyway, here’s the codes:
EGRUSBK — brushes for half price (expires October 25th, 2007)
EPOL311-07 — free nail polish remover pads with nail polish purchase (expires October 31st, 2007)
EGASCW — $2 shipping on orders of $25+ (expires November 15th, 2007)
CAROLINA — half off orders up to $15 (expires January 1st, 2008)
NEW2ELF — 5% off any order size (expires January 1st, 2008)
SHIP45 — free shipping on $45+ (expires January 1st, 2008) (dude, I have no idea how you could spent $45 there, but enjoy if you do)
Dress your dude
Honestly, I don’t know how it could be possible that you read here and your husband or significant other (or yourself, if you’re a guy) is still in need of some nice dressy clothing, but assuming that this is somehow the case, you should check out the Two Day Sale over at Jos. A. Bank. Through tomorrow (October 23rd, 2007) they’re taking up to 60% off of, well, just about everything. (Cashmere’s 55% off, people. Think Christmas.)
Target is messing with me
Hmmmm.
So I got this email from Target, saying that select clearance items now ship for free (through October 27th, 2007), but after ten minutes of poking around I haven’t found anything that has free shipping.
I mean, I assume something has free shipping. It’s sort of like a scavenger hunt, I suppose. Or maybe I just need more coffee.
(If you find something in the clearance with free shipping let me know. I’m not sure whether that will confirm or refute that I’m losing my mind, but I’ll take whatever clues I can get.)
Still time to order for Halloween
Hopefully you’re all squared away for Halloween by now (says the woman who is still waiting for part of her son’s costume to show up in the mail), but if you’re not, just about everything Halloween-related is marked down at Lillian Vernon. (Now would also be a good time to stock up for next year if you find some great deals.)
And through October 26th, 2007, you can use coupon code 667860900 to take 20% off $100+ orders, or 15% off $75+ orders, or 10% off $50+ orders. (Thanks, Naomi!)
Need a webcam?
I’m going to insert my standard disclaimer right at the outset, here, which is that in general I dislike deals that involve rebates. I’ve gotten burned several times on them, although I am going to offer up this deal, anyway, both because 1) it’s a nice product at a great price and 2) this is one store where I have done rebates successfully.
That said, here’s the scoop: Today only, Buy.com is offering an $80 rebates on the Logitech USB Silver QuickCam Ultra Vision. It normally retails for $99.99, but assuming the rebate goes through, you’ll pay just $19.99 when all is said and done.
(My husband, the photographer, said something about how having a glass lens on a webcam is rare and it means better quality. Sometimes when he talks photo I only hear “WAH WAH WAH” so I can’t tell you anything else, but he said he wants one, so there you go.)
