Make yourself very popular

Many thanks to the beautiful and lovely Allison for pointing out that this cool Cozy Clubhouseicon is currently on clearance for just $19.99 (down from $170)!

What kid wouldn’t want one of those? It’s not often you can make yourself that popular for under $20. Seriously. (Shipping is $6.99, but did you read the part about how the clubhouse used to be $170?)

Before Friday night is the Friday Sale

Yes, boys and girls—it’s that special time again. Imagine cartoon bluebirds coming to land on your shoulder, all atwitter about the Amazon Friday Sale.

(Hey, it could happen.)

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! Well, not really. But if you’re in the market for a prelit Christmas tree it could.

Here’s a great deal on an un-thrilling but necessary item: A Kidde combination smoke and carbon monoxide detector.

Scooba! Also: Dyson! (No, I never am going to tire of that. Thanks for asking, though.)

To be filed under Products You Thought You Saw On Saturday Night Live: The Hot Diggety Dogger (because making hot dogs the normal way is so hard.)

How about some cheap flatware? Okay, then.

For $300, this toaster had darn well better make my tea and clean the kitchen, too.

I certainly don’t need these tumblers as the recent “his, mine and ours” merger of stuff has left us with more glassware than any one family could possibly need. But man, those are pretty.

Happy Friday, everyone! Have a great, bargain-filled weekend!

V-Tech toys on clearance

Amazon has about a dozen V-Tech toys deeply discounted right now, if you like the sorts of toys that beep and boop and light up.

Of course, posting it here virtually guarantees that they’ll either sell out or go back to regular price within an hour. Heh. Go quick!

(Sorry for the dearth of posts today. After a frustrating couple of hours with nothing good turning up, I decided to go spend the afternoon with my family. A novel concept, and an excellent bargain to boot.)

Rumors of free coffee

(Does it seem like the deals have been a little thin, lately? It’s like the world is on summer vacation, or something. Oh, right….)

I read on a couple of deal sites today that all Tim Hortons are offering free iced cappuccinos today, but I don’t see anything about it on their website. So it might be true, but I can’t say for sure. (Store locator is here if you need to see if there’s one near you.)

I guess it’s up to you to decide how badly you might want free coffee.

It’s a great day for a Woot-Off

Seems like it’s been a while since the last one, but there’s a Woot-Off happening today if you’re interested.

(Actually, I’m pretty sure it’s happening whether you’re interested or not. What, you think you control the cosmos or something?)

Extra secret savings

These sorts of sales perplex me, because why the mystery? Does it make you shop more if the final savings are a surprise? Nonetheless, you might be interested to know that through July 21st, 2007, you can get extra secret savings at Boscov’s.

You have to throw something in your cart to see what your additional discount is. And I think it varies by department. Also, they may be using invisible ink. I’m not sure.

O-Day, all day (week)

Overstock.com, Inc.Honestly, I guess I don’t quite “get” the whole O-Day concept, as it regularly seems to span about three days rather than just one, but that’s okay. It means extra savings, and I’m all about that. So I’ll just try to roll with it. Now through July 20th, take 8% off your total order and ship it for a buck through that there link.

At Overstock, obviously. Do I need to say that part? Because if it was Amazon my guess is that it’d be A-Day.

The ultimate price match deal

This one is only worth it if you are dead serious about your bargains, and/or you live very near to a Staples store and/or you need to go there for other stuff, anyway.

This week’s Office Depot circular advertises 24-count Crayola crayons for just 9 cents apiece (limit 5 boxes).

Staples offers a 110% price guarantee. That means they’ll credit you 110% of the price difference between their current listing and the lower advertised price elsewhere.

So if you price match at Staples you can actually get your Crayolas for 4 cents a box.

Go out and make me proud, people.

Free TCBY

Do you read Glamour magazine? Suuuuure you do! Look, here’s a special offer just for you which TCBY probably thought no one would ever redeem, because how many people who actually read Glamour also eat frozen yogurt?

Let’s show ’em that you can be glamorous and partake of frozen dairy confections. Mmmmm.

(Coupon is valid through August 31st. Find your closest TCBY here. Do not take my comments about Glamour readers too seriously.)
