If ever there was a time to save
This week’s Friday Sale at Amazon is quite timely for two reasons. First of all, it’s Friday (duh). Second of all, yesterday we signed our lives away on a new house, and those of you playing along at home may be aware that—due to our incredible luck and also a lousy housing market right now—this means we now own three houses.
That means we’ll be eating a lot of Top Ramen for a while, and also that anything I need to buy must come at Friday Sale prices or better. So.
I suppose that means I can’t currently justify this Dyson, huh? Hmph.
(Psssst! The dearth of posting is almost over. Cable gets hooked up at the new place on Monday, which means we should be back to our regularly scheduled bargain-hunting full-force by then. Thanks for bearing with me through the move.)
It’s camping season
If you haven’t already stocked up on camping gear, why not? Haven’t I told you time and time again to buy these things on sale in the off season?
Okay, sometimes we aren’t able to plan completely in advance. I understand. So, if you’re needing camping gear right now, you should check this out: Through June 30th, get $20 off your $100+ qualifying camping gear purchase at Amazon. Some of it’s already on sale, and all of it ships for free when you order over $25, so there are great deals to be had.
Of course, then you have to take that stuff and go sleep outside with the bugs. I’m not sure how great of a deal that is.
Deals at The Children’s Place
(Hello! I am now southern. Can’t you tell? Everything is different now. Also if I never get into a car again it will be too soon.)
They’ve just dropped prices at The Children’s Place again, and you can use coupon code NMSA47 for $10 off your $30+ order.
Even better, if you go go play this game, you’ll be emailed a coupon for free shipping (and it can be stacked with the $10 off one).
Now please be forthcoming with the appreciation, because who else would sit down after 15 hours in the car and find you this deal? No one, that’s who. My love for you, it is deep. As is my geekitude.
Repost: In case you’re still hungry
(Here’s another post from yesterday that disappeared into the ether, in case you missed it.)
You have until June 30th, 2007, to use coupon code FREEDOM at Restaurant.com and take 60% off your total order. They’re still running the Lobster Gram special, too, so for just $4 you get a $25 certificate to the restaurant of your choice, plus a $15 credit at Lobster Gram.
I don’t know many other ways to make $4 go that far.
Reposted: Get more books
(If you already saw this yesterday, my apologies. If you didn’t, here you go.)
You’ve got through August 8th to pick two books that have the special sale icon and receive a third free during this Barnes & Noble Favorite Paperbacks Sale. Shipping is free on orders over $25 and books are always a justifiable treat.
I think y’all crashed me
Hello! A bit of a service announcement:
I’m not sure what happened, but all of my posts from yesterday have mysteriously disappeared. Poof! Gone! I don’t know why or how, but I do know that the big Overstock dealio was cross-posted to a few other bargain sites (hello, SlickDealers! I see you!) and my traffic was a wee bit high yesterday, so it’s possible there was some sort of crash I missed and my hosting service restored at an earlier point. I have no idea.
All I know is that I did in fact holler down the stairs to my husband to confirm that I did, indeed, post yesterday. I sort of thought maybe it was just me.
Anyway! I’m going to repost the Barnes & Noble deal, and then we are off to make the long trek to Georgia (about 14 hours from here), so I’ll be gone the rest of the day.
Please try not to break the blog again, and turn off the lights when you leave. Thanks.
Want Not pink puffy hearts Overstock
Dudes. Dudes. Have you been reading Want Not this weekend?
Here’s something completely amazing that even I didn’t know was going to happen, and it’s just in time for me to load my life into a truck and hit the road.
If you haven’t already seen it, go read this comment left by Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne, my new BFF. Do what he says and enjoy the savings. But you can’t have him for your BFF, because he’s mine. Um, I mean that in a perfectly normal and non-scary way, of course.
Thank you, Overstock! Thank you, Patrick!
Customer Appreciation at Catherines and Fashion Bug
(I would appreciate you today if you came over to help pack the last of my stuff. What? No? You’d rather get some bargains on clothes? Fine. Be that way.)
Today (June 24th, 2007) at Catherines you can take an additional 40% off of everything, no coupon necessary. Just because they appreciate you.
And even thought you don’t need a coupon, you should use one, because that’s how we roll around here. The following are valid through August 3, 2007:
776829301 — Free shipping on your $50+ order
776829004 — 20% off, no minimum purchase required
776829103 — $10 off $50+
776829202 — $20 off $70+
And then over at Fashion Bug they’re doing almost the same thing; today only (June 24th, 2007) take 40% off all regular merchandise and an additional 20% off of the clearance stuff, no coupon required. But here’s some coupons for them, too:
776183006 — $20 off $75+
776182909 — $10 off $50+
776182800 — 15% off, no minimum
776183105 — free shipping on $75+
When you’re done shopping, come over here and help me stuff the last of this stuff into a box, wouldja?
Oooh la lingerie
Thanks to pretty Erin for pointing out that Fig Leaves is having a huge sale right now. They sell unmentionables, you know, so of course I’m mentioning it. Because I’m a rebel that way.
Shipping on your first order is always free, so if you’ve never ordered from them before, bonus!
Free returns, too. It’s sort of like Zappos for panties.
Overstock weekender
Hello, I am not actually here right now. But yesterday before I unhooked my computer I lovingly posted this deal, because I care so very deeply about your savings. Yes.
So! Need something at Overstock this weekend? Take 7% off your entire order and ship it for just $1 all weekend long (expires June 24th, 2007) through that there link.
Does the idea of shipping an entire patio set for a buck make you feel all tingly? It should.
