Hey, I’m back!

Didja miss me? I’m all married and stuff, now. I feel like I should be offering some profound thrifty marriage wisdom, now. Hmmmm. Let me think.

Oh! I know! Save money on wedding rings by using a family ring, if you can. The fact that it’s a total crapshoot as to whether or not there may be any such ring available and the fact that my inherited ring is really really shiny and pretty are besides the point. Right?

Anyway. Hi! I’m back! And it may take me a day or two to get back up to full speed, but in the meantime, it looks like Target is offering free shipping on a bunch of stuff this week, which is always good news, whether your mind is currently clouded by loooooove or not.

No, I’m not really here

I’m off getting married. Pinky swear. I set this up yesterday, because I didn’t think even my impending nuptials were a good excuse for you to miss the Amazon Friday Sale.

While I’m eating, drinking, and making merry, feel free to shop and make merry.

Back on Monday. Have a great weekend!

Consider it a warm-up to the Friday Sale

You may have noticed I’m a wee bit scattered right now. I know! It’s so silly! I mean, just because I’m getting married tomorrow (ohmygosh I’m getting married tomorrow) is no reason to shirk on my bargain responsibilities. And yet, here we are.

Also, have you seen those sparkly things I was going to wear in my hair? I can’t find them.

Anyway, posting will be light through the weekend. Actually, posting will be light today, and I’ll post the Friday Sale tomorrow, and then you’re on your own while I go smooch with my husband for a while.

But don’t worry! You can go check out the Home & Garden markdowns to get ready for tomorrow, and then over the weekend you can, um, well, I’m sure there’s something you’d rather do than hang out here. So go do that.

Dress to impress

Overstock is having a gigundo (that is totally a real word) dress sale right now, ladies. All dresses are marked way down, plus they all ship for free. I would provide a direct link for you, but I’m having problems combining it with the coupon below. So:

Don’t forget that for the entire month of May, you can take 8% off your total order at Overstock through this link. If you were smart and pretty (and we know you are), you would go to Overstock through that link to get your coupon, and then go the extra couple of clicks to get over to the dresses and do your shopping.

Baby, travel in style

Having a baby? Know someone who is? It never fails to amaze me how much all of the “essential” baby gear costs. And how the underlying marketing message is always “If you really loved your baby money would be no object.”

Hey, that kid comes with a mouth to feed, a bottom to change, eighteen years of requirements, and probably hopes you’ll pay for college, too. Saving some dough is the only sensible way to proceed.

Here’s a nice little find to start your day off: The Combi Tyro II infant carseat is currently 57% off, and the coordinating IV Thunder stroller is down to 65% off!

You’ll have to pay shipping, but that’s still an unbeatable deal if you’re in the market for such things.

College tuition not included.

I wish I had some right now

Know what’s cool when you’re getting married in a few days? A pedicure. Fun!

Know what’s not cool when you’re getting married in a few days? A cold. Snotty!

You’re welcome.

Perhaps if I’d shopped the excellent sale on Airborne products at Amazon I wouldn’t be in this predicament, but as it is, I suggest you pass the Kleenex and stand back.

Vroom vroom!

Sorry for the dearth of posts today. Been running around like a chicken with my head cut off, which doesn’t leave a lot of time for sitting at the computer and eating bon bons as per usual. Except, you know, without the bon bons.

Here’s a quickie before I run off again:

Have a little one who needs a set of slick summer wheels? Check out these cute ride-ons on sale (and Free Super Saver Shipping eligible).

Free (and hopefully not tainted) pet food

Oh, I know. I shouldn’t joke. With all the recent pet food recalls, it’s a little scary to feed the family mascot without worrying.

But assuming that you haven’t resorted to feeding fluffy nothing but organic filet mignon, you still need to buy some pet food. I don’t know if this comes without worry, but it is free, which always makes me feel better.

So go get some free Iams pet food and enjoy. I mean, enjoy feeding it to your pet. Don’t you eat it. Because, ewwwww. (Thanks for the tip, Heather!)
