Here’s a different contest with MORE fabulous prizes

Oh my goodness, you people are cracking me up with your contest entries! Keep ’em coming!

I thought I’d go ahead and point out another contest for you: Check out my post over at Ty’s today to get the skinny on how your daughter can try her hand at winning an iPod. (Also feel free to leave me a comment over there, because it’s been sort of lonely.)

So many free things in one day! I’m… I’m… I’m all verklempt.

[Edited at 7:15 PM to say that we just submitted my daughter’s essay and she was in the first 100 entries, all of which receive a free DVD. Hurry up and enter for your chance to get yours just for entering!]

Two free fonts

Are you a digital scrapbooker? A hobbyist who sometimes enjoys making your own cards or newsletters?

Creating Keepsakes magazine is offering two fonts for free download. Use coupon code TW6HOL to get your copies of “Holiday Spirit” and “Jolly Elf” to use for all your upcoming holiday needs.

Apparently jolly elves write in sort of a blocky uppercase, while holiday spirit imparts lots of curlicues. Who knew?

Undies and socks and sweats, oh my!

Many thanks to Daisy for letting me know that through the end of the month, you can use coupon code COMFY to get free shipping on your $50+ order at Hanes. They have stuff for the whole family, so if you were looking to stock up, anyway, this is a great way to do it from the comfort of home.

And if you have a kid or two who complains about every. single. tag. in every piece of clothing, check out the undies and undershirts here. Tagless! Every last one of them. I cannot tell you the joy that filled my heart—the last time I had to buy panties for a certain picky princess—when I didn’t have to come home and cut out all the tags.

. . . and more American Girls

Have you seen the mini AGs? They are adorable. If you think you can get away with a mini (or three) instead of a full-sized doll, this Christmas, you should hightail it over to Overstock: they have the American Girl Minisicon for a third less than the AG store.

(Psssst… want ’em? The coupon I posted on Friday—which was supposed to end at the end of the month—seems to still be working. Click through the doll link to add whatever you want to your cart, then click here to activate your coupon and check out.)

Free shipping at American Girl

Do you have a daughter who is insisting that she will simply die if she doesn’t get an American Girl doll this Christmas? Are you a nicer mother than I am? (My response: “Well, it’s been nice knowing you, then.”) Have your eye on a certain book or accessory at the AG store?

It may be time to shop.

Use coupon code AF2508 through October 23, 2006, for free shipping on any order at Americal Girl. The sale section is looking a bit sparse, but there are some deals to be had. And if you’re nice enough to actually order a doll, your shipping savings will work out to about 10%.

Popcorn nirvana

For those of you who got in on this deal, you already know that Dale and Thomas is an amazing company. On the previous deal, those of us who ordered the free strawberry popcorn (for just $2.95 shipping and handling) completely lucked out; they got so many complaints about that flavor not being up to snuff, everyone who ordered it also received a second shipment of two more bags. (I received kettle corn and chipotle cheddar, which were both so good I ate every last bite and didn’t share with the kids. Oops.)

They are officially now the Company I Love To Hate. I hate that they make delicious, calorie-laden goodness and are so goshdarned nice about it, to boot. Hmph. I have been avoiding them like the plague, lest I succumb and end up weighing 500 lbs.

But guess what! Carmen had to go and tell me that October is Free Popcorn Month! It brings another opportunity to order either 1 or 2 bags of free gourmet popcorn for just $2.95 shipping per bag. You don’t get to select which of their four featured flavors you’ll receive, but who cares. I’m drooling just looking at the pictures.

I may just have to order. For, uh, teacher gifts. Yeah, that’s it.

Free MP3s

Check out eMusic and sign up for a free trial. 25 MP3 downloads are yours to keep, even if you cancel within 14 days (to prevent being signed up for service that requires pay). That’s like getting 2 whole CDs for free!

Thanks, Otto! (Do you think he’ll be offended if I start calling him my Bargain Boyfriend?)
