Otto doesn’t vibrate, but then again, he doesn’t require AA batteries, either.

If you do not know the splendor that is Veggie Tales, you’re missing out on some of the most hilarious children’s entertainment out there. (It is Christian-based, but I promise it’s plenty fun.) My kids have just about outgrown the Veggies and I am sad.
However! Perhaps you have some VegHeads at home who still worship Bob and Larry. If that’s the case, might I suggest the Veggie Tales Nativity Set this holiday season? Just $12.99 with free shipping, and a full day’s allowance of vitamins and minerals. (Well, maybe not that last part. But it really is $12.99 with free shipping.)
We have an earlier version of this nativity set and the kids still play with it more than any other. Perhaps because Jesus is a baby pea in a Radio Flyer wagon. Hard to know.
While I’m never going to recommend matching tourist-y Hawaiian shirts for you and your beloved, I am kind of digging these Columbia Cruiser bikes on sale at Amazon. Originally $200, marked down to $90 with an additional $10 coming off automatically at checkout, free Super Saver Shipping; that’s a nice deal on a basic, good-looking bike.
If you’re a serious biking enthusiast these are obviously not the bikes for you, but for a little something to tool around the neighborhood? Very slick.
Ordinarily you can get free next-day shipping from Office Depot with a $50 minimum purchase, but they are running a holiday special of free shipping on every order, no minimum, through the end of the year. Yay for Office Depot!
So check out their hot deals. Many of them are “available in limited markets” which means that once you put your zip code in, you may be told they’re out of stock. That’s frustrating. But sometimes you get lucky.
(Me, I wanted those cheap binoculars for stocking stuffers, but they’re not available for me. Oh well.)
Thanks to Carmie for alerting me to the current deal at Winkflash for new customers: Sign up, the use coupon code WF23EA73 to get 50 free 4″ x 6″ prints with just $.99 flat rate shipping.
They’re also running a holiday card special: Place your order before December 15th, 2006, and use coupon code WZ48EG92 to take 40% off your order. That’s a great deal for those of us who only just today realized that tomorrow is, you know, December, and that maybe we should think about cards. Or something.
Stop looking at me like that.
Okay, the thought of poultry for the first meal of the day turns my stomach a little, but maybe you’re different. Maybe it sounds delicious to you. Maybe I am looking at you a little funny right now.
But we all know I have a soft spot in my heart for Chik-fil-A. So go ahead—have some free chicken for breakfast. (Thanks, Kelly!)
After years of seeing J. Jill deals online, I happened to visit somewhere with an actual brick-and-mortar J. Jill. So I went in and tried a few things on.
At which time I concluded two things:
1) A lot of people spend a lot more money on their clothes than I do,
and
2) The reason people are willing to pay that much is because their sizing is such that everyone wears a much smaller size than they really are.
But that’s how it always is, right? Everyone is a size or two smaller in expensive clothes?
Anyway, if you dig J. Jill and/or you want to feel little, here’s a coupon for you: Take $25 off your purchase of $50 or more with coupon code BBHLPN. Offer good from now through December 6th, 2006. (Check out the Sale section if the prices are giving you a coronary.)
Perhaps you got in a Black Friday portable DVD deal, or maybe you’ve had one for a while. Either way, this is an awesome deal on the accessories.
Sweeten the deal: Use coupon code ANYFSH for free shipping!
It’s not that I think you can put a price on sweet, sweet silence on a long car ride (that’s what our portable DVD is for), but if you had to, this would be a good price to put on it.
(You all have a lot of opinions about rice cookers, did you know that? Sheesh.) (Kidding. I’m loving the discussion. I just didn’t know that people felt so passionately about rice.)
Anyway. Go get some rice for free.
I suppose the naughty might awaken Christmas morning to find their stockings stuffed with this.
(Can’t… stop… gagging….)
Free shipping right now, too, on a holiday special. So that’s… uhhh… good. And they take Google Checkout, so you can get a discount, and… I can’t believe I’m talking about this.
(Danielle, I’ll get you for this.)
