Get your Crocs on
If you haven’t outfitted the kids with all of their summer shoes, yet, hop on over to Crocs today for some savings—they’re having their Friends & Family Sale! That means you can use coupon code 25OFF for 25% off anything (even items already on sale), plus you can stack code JUNESHIP for free shipping on any order.
I guess I haven’t been to the Crocs site in a while, because in addition to the shoes I think of as the ubiquitous Crocs, they also have leather and canvas (which I remember), but also clothing of various kinds (I don’t remember seeing that before). Awwww, Crocs is all grown up and doing new things. Good for them. Now go save on that stuff, and it’ll be good for you.
What have you gotten lately?
We haven’t had the chance to share our good finds lately, so I thought I’d share a hit and a miss for fun:
My recent miss was ordering a bathing suit during the last big Bon-Ton sale. The price was certainly right, but it arrived today and is electric pink and neon orange (sure didn’t look that way on my monitor…) as well as fitting my chest in a rather, er, unfortunate manner. (Let’s just say that if I was going for a Madonna-esque statement of… uhhh… pointedness, it would be fine.) So that’s going back to the store.
But, a lucky hit to make up for it: Today at Goodwill I found an Isaac Mizrahi taffeta couture party dress for $6. I suppose I shouldn’t wear it in the pool, but still, a nice find.
Your turn!
Let’s pretend it’s Wednesday
Yeah, I don’t know what’s going on, either. Let’s just pretend that it’s Wednesday, because 1) that means it doesn’t have to be Monday (win!) and 2) that means we can Kohls to our hearts’ content. Why not? It certainly looks like Wednesday over there.
Everyone gets free shipping on $75+, and everyone can shop the Bonus Buys and use coupon code LOVE4DAD to save an additional 15%. If you have a Kohls charge card, you can use coupon code SAVEBIG30 for an additional 30% off, instead, plus coupon code FREE4MVC to ship any size order for free.
I know we generally think of Kohls as being a place for clothing—and of course they have plenty of that—but during a sale like this, it’s the perfect time to scoop up deals on things like a Keurig or a KitchenAid mixer. Or my favorite anti-gravity loungers! Those are in the bonus buys, too. Happy shopping!
Get healthy, stay healthy
In the market for the vitamins and supplements that still allow you to eat ice cream on the regular without guilt? Just me, then…? Well, ice cream is a powerful motivator for me, but you may just be looking for optimal health, and I guess that’s okay, too.
Today (Monday, June 10th) only, Vitamin Shoppe is offering 20% off your entire purchase with coupon code VSSAVE20. Even better, spend $25+ and your order will ship for free.
I’ve been purchasing from Vitamin Shoppe through Amazon for years, and I don’t know why it didn’t occur to me before to go to their site, directly. Now I know, and now I’ve got a coupon. And now you know, too.
Yes, please
I know, I know, another one-task kitchen electric is the absolute last thing I need, but… margaritas! So delicious!
Er, I mean, just look at this Margaritaville DM0500 Bahamas 36-Ounce Frozen-Concoction Maker currently just $99 at Amazon (look in the right sidebar for “More Buying Choices” to get that price direct from Amazon; it’s defaulting to a higher-priced seller). That’s their lowest price ever, and how much fun would it be to have your own margarita machine??
(Also, if you buy it, please invite me over.)
iPads? There’s a refurb for that
If you’ve been wanting an iPad but not at the full-on sell-your-firstborn Apple price, you might want to take a peek over at Woot—they’ve got refurbished 3rd generation 32GB and 64GB iPads today, starting at $400. It’s still hardly a “sure, that’s a great impulse buy” choice, but if you’d already been shopping around and just needed a price break over a new one, this could be a good way to go.
Looks like the black 64GBs are already sold out (you can get them in white, though, or either color in the 32GB). I’m guessing you’ll need to get in early if you want to snag one of these.
Get organized, kid
Right now Amazon has this 12-bin organizer available for $36.81, their lowest price ever. Personally I believe the bin organizer to be one of the greatest inventions of our time, much like sliced bread and maple bacon.
There’s an identical unit to this in my son’s room even now, and I know that I should replace it with something… I don’t know… older? But bins! They’re so easy! You say, “Please pick up” and they actually do, because you can just chuck things in bins and then you’re done. It’s magic. And even though I got his on sale (a really long time ago), I’m pretty sure I paid more than this.
Electronics, home, whatever
If you’re looking for deals on electronics and appliances, you don’t have to look much further than BuyDig, but right now they’re also offering free shipping on just about everything. Right on the front page there they’ve got a deal on a Wenger Swissgear laptop backpack (maybe a good Father’s Day gift…?) for jut $24, and that same backpack is still a minimum of $35 at Amazon.
Spend $99+ and you can use coupon code DIG5 for an additional $5 off. It’s not much, I know, but every buck counts.
I’m eyeing several small kitchen electrics I really don’t need. Heh.
Perfect for rainy summer days
If you’re having the kind of rain we’ve been having, you’re looking for some ways to keep the kids busy indoors quite a bit. Whether you have a budding Picasso or just a kid who likes to color, an “official” art set is always a big hit.
This 80-piece Deluxe Art Set at Amazon is currently just $14 (and yesterday it was still over $20), and in addition to all of the goodies inside, it comes in a sturdy wooden case. This is way cooler than a new package of colored pencils.
The set is recommended for ages 6+, and from the reviews it looks like it’s beginner items, so maybe good for elementary through middle school, but probably not sufficient for artists older than that. Though for the price, I’m not sure it matters.
It’s baaaaack, camping fans
Just in time for summer camping, Amazon’s brought back their $20 off $100+ Coleman purchases promotion, and there’s tons of items from which to choose. I’m seeing several really good tent deals—items that are already marked down quite a bit, then you save another $20—as well as other items for your camping needs.
I am a sucker for lanterns. I have no idea why, but every time I see one of these deals I become convinced we need another one. Maybe I’m secretly afraid of the dark…?
