Tentacular!

I, uh, realized after I titled this post that it kinds of looks like I’m talking about something which is not a tent. Like, maybe an octopus! Or something else. Whoops? (And yet, I am too lazy to change it.)

Anyway! Today’s Big Steal at Meijer is a 15′ x 15′ Northpole tent with three rooms. According to Meijer, this tent normally goes for $200 and today’s deal is that it’s just $135 and ships free. (There’s also coupon code BLUESKY for an extra 15% off almost everything, but I haven’t been able to figure out if you can use it on Big Steal items.)

That seemed like a pretty good deal to me, so I went looking on Amazon for a price comparison, and discovered that either it’s a crazy good deal or the gerbils who power the inner workings of Amazon’s pricing structure are smoking crack again. See for yourself—Amazon is selling this same tent for $689. So… there’s that.

(I doubt this is a $700 tent, obviously. Still a good deal at 33% off, though!)

Go green, still clean the dishes

Many of you may recall that I’ve long been on the hunt for a so-called eco-friendly dishwashing detergent option. So far I’ve not had a lot of luck with the hippie-crunchy options actually, you know, cleaning the dishes. (I know several of you swear by Method. The version I tried didn’t thrill me, but it seems there’s some variation in efficacy between scents. I’ll have to try another flavor.)

Anyway, if you, too, have this issue, you might want to check out these GrabGreen dishwashing detergent pods at Amazon. There’s a variety of sizes and scents, and most of ’em are the lowest price they’ve ever been, right now. Unfortunately it looks like the fragrance-free kind doesn’t qualify for additional savings (other than Subscribe & Save, which will save you 5% and give you free shipping), but some of the other combinations qualify for an extra 20% off with coupon code GRBGREEN. Just click around for the size/scent you want and see if the “Special Offers Available” link pops up just under the price.

Reviews are overwhelmingly favorable, so between that and the price break, I think I’ll give ’em a shot.

Bad news, good news

The bad news is that yesterday, Urban Outfitters had their “OMG Sale” and I forgot to tell you. I’m sorry!

The worse news is that apparently the sale was so popular, the site crashed a whole lot.

But the really good news is that because of the site crash, they’ve extended the sale and today every order ships for free! That’s my kind of sale.

And before someone makes a comment about the clothing there… I know. If I ever want to feel old and curmudgeonly, I browse their clothing. That said, I think some of their Apartment sections holds many things pretty and/or hilarious, so I skip the skimpy tank tops and head straight for the shower curtains and word magnets.

Why yes, yes it is

Did someone say Woot-Off? There goes the day!

All day, Woot, Kids.Woot, and Home.Woot is featuring a rotating series of deals, available for anywhere from just seconds to thirty minutes, depending upon their popularity. If you have the time to stalk the deals, these are the days to get the best bargains on the widest variety of items.

You didn’t have anything else you needed to do today, right?

Rev it up with Revlon

I’m not naming any names, but someone I know has the tendency to buy some makeup, grumble over the price, wear it occasionally, and then keep it for years and years until it turns into cement. Then she will grumble over having to spend money to buy new stuff. And occasionally post on her website about it.

Ahem.

But then she will be totally happy when the Target Daily Deals have a couple of great deals on Revlon products—get Colorstay eyeshadow palettes or Colorburst lip butters for $4.79 shipped, today only. It’s an easy way to bulk up your makeup stash without even having to leave the house, and the price is certainly right.

Tip-top tabletop

Have you been drooling over something over at Pfaltzgraff, but just couldn’t justify the price? I’m here to help! Today’s the last day for their Earth Day special, where you can get 40% off any one eligible item (most items are eligible, but some aren’t—look for the little green and white dollar sign symbol to signify eligibility) with coupon code FORTY.

Orders of $99+ ship for free, or pay a flat $7.95, otherwise.

Granted, this isn’t such a great deal if you’ve been eyeing a butter dish—though, really, who does that?—but if you’ve been wanting a whole new dish set? This could be the day to bite.

Lots to love at Lands’ End

I’ve been waiting for a new Lands’ End coupon, and thankfully I didn’t have to wait for long. Right now you can use coupon code PICK30 with PIN 3022 to get 30% off and free shipping on anything that isn’t clearance!

Remember, Lands’ End no longer has an “Overstocks” section, they just have a “Sale” section. They also don’t always clearly demarcate their clearance items anymore, but anything that ends in .97 is a clearance item. The deal with this coupon is that it will take 30% off of anything, but only give you free shipping if there is at least one non-clearance item in your cart. (So it’s not that you can’t get free shipping on clearance, just that you have to buy at least one thing that isn’t clearance.)

Not that that’s usually a problem for me. Ahem.

Earth Day the Body Shop way

You have one last day to save big at The Body Shop in honor of Earth Day. (I always like to celebrate Earth Day by… smelling yummy, don’t you? Oh, hush.) Today (Monday, April 23rd, 2012) they’re having a tiered sale where the more you buy, the more you save. It starts with 10% off a single item, all the way up to if you buy 5+ items and you’ll save 50% on everything in your bag! (A few exclusions apply, but almost everything qualifies.)

Everyone gets free shipping on $50+, and if you spend $25+ you can use coupon code MDAY for free shipping.

You know I’m a fool for their body butters, but if you’re looking for cheaper items, check out the accessories/tolls or things like their lip treatments. No matter what you buy, though, I’d say 50% off and free shipping makes it a stock-up opportunity.

Time to stock up at Old Navy

As if the prices at Old Navy aren’t already stock-up-worthy, they just keep churning out the coupons to make it a deal you just can’t refuse.

Shop them today and use coupon code ONSAVE20 for 20% off just about everything, or if you have a a store card (and that includes a card to Gap or Banana Republic, you know, because they are the Borg Collective of clothing stores) you can use coupon code ONSTUFF30 for an extra 30% off, instead.

Some exclusions apply, but there’s ton of stuff you can get for even less. And how can you not love a store where you can go shopping “for the kids” and end up with a few cute things for yourself?

I’ve had plenty of coffee today

I have coffee on the brain. Possibly because I am full of it right now. (Coffee, that is.) Personally, I like to buy local beans and grind them myself, because I am an aspiring hippie, but it would appear that this Lavazza Crema e Gusto ground coffee at Amazon is very popular among the espresso set, and right now it’s at an all-time-low price of just $14.65 shipped when you buy via Subscribe & save.

That’s over two pounds of highly-rated espresso goodness straight to your doorstep for less than I paid for a pound of beans at the Farmer’s Market this morning (true story). It’s a great buy if this is the stuff you like.
