Doot doo doot doo, feeling Nerfy

I know we had a couple of Nerf deals at Amazon already, but here’s four more (actually I think one is a repeat; I’m only human) in case the urge to shoot at people occasionally overwhelms you this time of year:

Get the Nerf Dart Tag Starter Set for $14 (60% off), and if two guns isn’t enough for you, grab a Nerf Dart Tag Speedload 6 or two for $7 (70% off) to go with it. If you’re ready to give up all pretense of playing “tag” with your guns, go for the Nerf N-Strike Deploy CS-6 Dart Blaster for $11 (56% off) or the Nerf N-Strike Barricade RV-10 for $14 (36% off), instead.

Love thy neighbor. And then shoot foam darts at him. I’m sure I read that somewhere.

Let’s hear it for the girls

(And their somewhat creepy toys!) (No, I don’t miss this phase at all, why do you ask?)

Look, I don’t have any problem with My Little Pony, actually, so if you wanted to get the Applejack’s Sweet Apple Barn Playset ($7; 53% off) and the coordinating pink truck ($10; 40% off) (because of course a pony needs a truck), well hey, knock yourself out. I don’t judge.

On the other hand, I fully admit that all of the Baby Alive toys just creep me right out, maybe especially this new line of “crib life friendship dolls,” which appear to be their version of a Webkinz kind of thing. But if you don’t look at them and wonder if they might gnaw your face off while you’re sleeping, they currently have four different ones marked down to just $5 apiece, or 71% off:
Hailey Hula
Lily Sweet
Ella Song
and
Lulu Lake

So, um, enjoy.

The thigh bone’s connected to to the…

… more Amazon price drops for you, starting off with the ones that make me giggle.

From Learning Resources:
Inflatable Solar System for $13 (74% off) (nice!)
Human Skeleton Anatomy Model for $6.11 (66% off) (for your budding doctor… or psychopath)
Brain Anatomy Model for $6.59 (67% off) (for your budding psychologist… or Hannibal Lechter)
Cross Section Human Brain Model for $5 (74% off) (for when one brain model isn’t quite enough)

Be a super spy:
Spy New Video Watch 2.0 for $16 (73% off) (admittedly, this has mixed reviews—buyer beware)
Spy Gear Body Wire for $4 (73% off)
Spy Net Stealth Video Glasses for $15 (63% off)

Because my kid wants it (ha):
Beyblade Metal Masters Triple Battle Set for $25 (38% off, but Amazon’s lowest price to date)

For your girly tween:
Crayola Pop Art Pixies Fab Snaps: Purse Wristlet for $5 (69% off)

Because it’s a super fun game and a great stocking stuffer:
Scrabble Slam for $3.50 (71% off)

Why yes, I will be spending the next week combing through Amazon for roughly twelve hours a day, thanks for asking….

30% off ends today

The time to order and get your items before Christmas is rapidly drawing to a close, and so are the clothing deals designed to lure you into placing those orders (heh). Today’s the last day to use coupon code HOLIDAY for 30% off your order at Old Navy, Gap, or Banana Republic. Sale prices abound, of course, so stack up the savings there and pat yourself on the back.

Of course, if you’re already done shopping, pat yourself on the back and go have some chocolate.

It’s beginning to look a lot like price drops…

Shhhhhh! Come closer, I don’t want to say this too loud. But… I think Amazon is starting their price drops, finally.

Here’s a few goodies:
Star Wars Deluxe Republic Attack Shuttle is down to $25 (72% off).
KNEX Double Shot Rollercoaster is down to $35 (42% off).
Chuggington Interactive Railway Wilson And Chatsworth Starter Set is down to $8.49 (66% off)
This darling recycled cardboard dollhouse is just $10.44 (65% off).
I don’t understand what this is, exactly, but it appears to be some sort of hybrid Littlest Pet Shop/Craft sort of thing (translation: tween girl nirvana): This Bizu gift pack is just $6 (70% off).
Finally, if you have a Bakugan addict on your hands, don’t forget to stuff those stockings with a Bakugan Miserak or two—they’re just $4, 69% off.

It’s the moooooost wonderfuuul tiiiiiiime, of the yeeeeaaaaar….

Woot the force

I’m not saying I would necessarily encourage my children to whack at each other with lightsabers, I am just saying that today’s Kids.Woot is a 4-pack of “Color Changing Extender Light Swords” which look suspiciously like lightsabers, and only cost $15 for 4, shipped.

Maybe I’m saying that I’m considering it, is all.

Remember, kids: It’s all fun and games until someone gets a lightsaber in the eye. Be safe out there!

Stock up on Whoowasit

So I noticed that Amazon has Whoowasit?—an award-winning Ravensburger board game—marked down to its lowest price ever ($15) right now. And I thought, “Hey, that’s pretty good.” But then I noticed that there’s also a special offer to get an additional 35% off when you purchase 2 or more “qualifying items.” Hey, extra savings!

I then set about trying to determine what items might qualify for this promotion. Know what? I have no idea. I can’t find anything else with the same promotion listed on it, which leads me to believe you can just buy 2 or more of this same game and save extra. That’s still a nice chunk of savings, assuming you want to pick up some gifts, I guess. But kind of a strange promo.

A couple of Cars deals

I’m still on the lookout for the big Amazon toy price drops that should be starting any minute now. (Yes, in the meantime you can occupy yourself with the Holiday Lightning Deals, but it’s the frenetic price drops of just-before-Christmas that really make things fun.)

While we wait, here’s two deals for your Cars-loving kids:

The Cars 2 Action Agents Crabby Boat Vehicle Playset with 2 Character Cars set is just $7.99 right now (64% off), and it looks like a pretty sizable set.

Also, the LEGO Cars Big Bentley Bust Out set is just $35 (50% off), and this may be worth it even if you’re not a huge Cars fan, as the set is over 700 pieces.

Let’s hope this is just the start of sales to come….

If you’re done holiday shopping…

… and are ready to move on to next spring/summer, make sure you check out Crocs.com today—they’re offering free economy shipping on every order (though it’s not the default, so make sure to change it), plus buy one/get one free on all sale items!

If you’re buying a lot, you can save even more; use coupon code HOLIDAY15 to take an additional $15 off your $75+ order.

Or, hey, you could just buy Crocs for Christmas. I don’t judge.

Buy a Touch, get free tunes

If you’re in the market for an iPod Touch and haven’t bought one yet, you might want to take a look at a calendar, you procrastinator you may be delighted to learn that putting it off means you can now snag this 8 GB Touch at Amazon for just $190, and you’ll get a $30 MP3 Store credit for free. Then you can take your new toy and load it up with music!

This is the latest version model, which means any savings at all is pretty rare. You’re basically getting it for $40 off ($10 off + $30 credit), so that’s not bad.
